He has the perfect combination of sweet and playful—calm and gentle around the house, but always ready for fun when it's time to play. Sven is the kind of dog who wins hearts wherever he goes. He's incredibly gentle, wonderful with kids, and has a loving personality that makes him an easy companion. He gets along well with cats too, although he may occasionally try to convince them to play like they're fellow dogs! His favorite toy is his yellow ducky pull toy, and if you're looking for the quickest way to become his best friend, give him scratches on his lower tummy or thighs. He'll happily melt into a puddle of appreciation. Sven came from a farm, and while he doesn't necessarily need acreage, he would thrive in a home with people to shower him with attention and affection. More than anything, Sven wants to be part of the family and included in all of life's adventures. If you're looking for an amazing, gentle, goofy best friend who is equal parts cuddle bug and playmate, Sven may be the perfect match for you.

He has a wonderful balance of energy and calmness—always ready for a game of fetch, but just as happy to relax and spend time with his favorite people. This handsome guy never met a toy he didn't like, but fetch is definitely one of his favorite activities. If you've got a ball to throw, Elvis is ready for the job! When playtime is over, he loves scratches on his hips and lower tummy and will gladly soak up all the affection you can give. Elvis came from a farm and would thrive in a home where he gets plenty of attention, love, and opportunities to stay active. He's an incredibly sweet dog who loves being part of the family and would make an amazing companion for adventures, backyard games, and cozy evenings at home. He's great with cats and other animals, though if a cat decides to sprint across the room, Elvis may see it as an invitation to a friendly game of chase. Ava is 5 years old and loves people. Loves any and all attention you are willing to give. She is more of an inside dog than out. If you're playing with her or just even out with her, she's ok staying out too. She does not like being alone for too long outside unless she has other companions to play and adventure with. Ava loves to run and play and go for walks. You wont have to worry about holes in the yard as she does not really dig. However, car rides are not her thing. She is very anxious when it comes to getting in the vehicle. She gets along really well with other animals. She is house and kennel trained. Im looking for someone or a family that will love her as much as we do. Who will give her the love, attention, and care she deserves. Ava is a really good dog and unfortunately, we have to move and the expenses she requires is more than what I can afford with 3 children and the cost of living. Im really hoping we can find a perfect fit for not only her, but as you as well.

.Kendra has returned to the shelter for her next chapter. She was adopted from HSWC as a puppy and has been well loved, but health issues of her family have made it hard to take care of her. She loves to go for walks and her favorite activity is to play fetch with tennis balls. She does well with children and most other dogs, but has never met a cat. She does have strong storm anxiety and needs medication for that.

Orchid 27863 is a 7-month-old Australian Shepherd mix. Her mother is an Australian shepherd. Orchid is a bit shy when meeting new people but after a good introduction she is good to go! She loves walks, car rides and likes to sit in your lap. She is good with most dogs and might be ok with a cat if properly introduced. We recommend older children for her. Orchid walks well on a leash, has started potty training and loves to play in her kiddie pool!! If you are interested in meeting/adopting Orchid, please fill out a dog adoption application on our website. www.hspcwi.org Only completed applications will be processed. Due to the high volume of applications we receive for puppies not all applications can be accepted. The approved adopter will receive a phone call to set up an appointment. Orchid's adoption fee is $175 +tax. She weighs 18#, is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative.
