Hope is a 5-year-old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix, and honestly? She's the kind of dog who makes you wonder how you ever lived without her. She's sweet, loyal, loving, and happiest when she's right by her people's side. Bathroom trip? She's coming. Laundry? She's supervising. Couch time? She has already saved you a spot. This girl is a certified Velcro dog who wants to be part of whatever you're doing. She's not just looking for a house to live in; she's looking for HER people. The ones she can love fiercely, stick close to, and shower with affection every single day. And the best part? Hope is wonderful with kids, other dogs, and cats! Well, howdy there, y'all! I'm Riata, and I'm looking for my very own forever family! My story started with a heartbreaking chapter. My human passed away, leaving my mama and all six of us puppies behind. Thankfully, we got our chance at a fresh start, and now I'm ready to find the family I've been waiting for! We think I'm a Border Collie x Australian Shepherd mix, which means I may have inherited some serious smarts along with my good looks. And speaking of looks... have you noticed my gorgeous eyes? I reckon I was born knowing how to work the camera! I'm a beautiful cowgirl with brains, personality, and plenty of puppy charm. With my Border Collie and Aussie heritage, I'll likely grow into a clever girl who enjoys having a job to do, even if that job is simply keeping you company and making sure you never eat a snack alone! Mama weighs around 55 pounds, so I'm expected to grow into a medium-sized dog. That means I'll be a great size for adventures, family outings, and finding my favorite spot on the couch. I'm not planning to take up the ENTIRE couch... although I reserve the right to change my mind once I discover how comfy it is! Like any smart young pup, I'll need a family willing to help me learn the ropes. Training, exercise, mental stimulation, and plenty of opportunities to explore will help me grow into the very best version of myself. This is Blue. Blue is an Australian Shepherd by day, and his brother Presley's emotional support by night. And by night we mean that is his full-time job! Blue is about 8 years old, and the total package. He is sweet, laid back, well behaved, potty trained and loves everyone. Blue is on a special hepatic diet and a liver supplement. Lately, Blue has completely refused to eat his special diet, so we switched him over to regular food. Ideally, he would be eating the diet that keeps him healthy, but the stress of the shelter is getting to him. Being everyone's favorite is hard! He is too busy raising morale in the building to worry about his own health. He is rebelling against the work load he gave himself by requesting a different food each meal. In a lower stress environment, we are hopeful that Blue can get back on the correct diet to help him live his best life. As mentioned before, Blue has a full-time position as Presley's emotional support. Presley has requested that Blue keeps his job so they will need to go to a home together. Blue is really only looking for someone to pet his butt and let him sit right on top of them. They may do well with teenagers or older respectful children. Blue and Presley's adoption fee will be $100 for the pair. Blue is neutered, current on vaccines, micro chipped and heart worm negative. If you are interested in meeting/adopting Blue and Presley please submit a dog application on our website www.hspcwi.org. The approved adopter will be contacted within three business days for an appointment to meet him. If all goes well, Blue and Presley can go home the same day. All dog adoptions come with a leash, collar, toys and 3 days of food. The adopter is given copies of all medical records. We still have puppies! These two girls are looking for their forever home! If you are looking for a spunky companion who will give you endless joy and also make you question your life choices, you have come to the right place. These guys are full of energy and antics. The bad news; these guys need training. They are going to be higher energy dogs, and they are babies still. They do not know a whole lot of anything, and it will be like bringing a toddler with shark teeth into your home! They WILL steal your socks, they WILL think your hands, toes and whatever skin is showing is a chew toy, and they WILL think it's funny when you get mad at them for not being good citizens. The good news; they are so cute, smart, and will make you laugh. Puppy zoomies: HILAROUS. Bringing you stuff that they shouldn't have in their mouth: SOMEWHAT FUNNY. Playing with their toys appropriately: RARE OCCURANCE, but appreciated, nonetheless. They should be relatively easy to train, and puppies are great at learning. They are not so good at remembering, so they will need reminders! We are not sure how big they will get, but they should stay relatively small. They look like heeler/terrier mixes, but only a DNA test could tell. These girls have had their appropriate puppy vaccinations and are microchipped. Their adoption fee is $300. A portion of their adoption fee will be returned after they are spayed. The surgery will be done at HSPC at no cost to the adopter!
