Story
My name is Rapids and as my name suggests, there`s a challenging course ahead. I was found as a stray at the Dells of Eau Claire park and something inside of me broke that day; going through life knowing that the ones you love can leave you isn`t an easy pill to swallow and I`ve found it hard to trust and give my heart freely ever since. The next humans to love me will have to be patient, tolerant and in this for the long haul; seriously, if you don`t see forever in our future than keep moving. I would do best in a home with other dogs my size or larger, no small children and with an active lifestyle to keep my mind and my body happy.

Story
G’day mates! I’m Nickel. Like the coin, I’m small, round, and somehow always end up in your couch cushions or under the dining room table. A nickel is worth five cents and my foster mama says that 5 is the best number, IYKYK. I’m an adorable young pup with a wiggle that could power a small wind farm and a personality that says, “Yes, I would love to be involved in whatever you’re doing, but if you’re not watching me, I might eat your shoe.” Because I’m just a young pup, I’m working on learning basic commands, but I’ve pretty much already mastered ‘Sit’ and now we’re working on ‘Settle’. I’m also doing well with potty training which seems to make my foster mom happy…something about not going through so many of the big white rolls of soft paper. I dunno. Humans are silly. Also, can I just tell you about these things called TOYS?! I love them! Sometimes I even get TREATS when I chase after a toy and bring it back. Bonza! I’m currently accepting applications for a forever home with an active owner who understands I’ll need significant daily physical and mental stimulation, provides consistent, firm training and has space for me to run. In return, I’ll provide you with unlimited cuddles, daily laughs, and the kind of loyalty you can’t buy; though I was named Nickel, so I’m technically a bargain. Adopt me. I promise I’m worth way more than five cents. You can apply for me at: https://www.fetchfosterandrescue.com/adopt Name: Nickel D.O.B: 11/5/25 Breed: Heeler mix Sex: Male Altered: No Adoption Fee: 450 + *100 neuter contract Good with cats: I’m just a puppy so with time and training I can do anything! Good with dogs: Yes, I enjoy the company of other dogs! Good with kids: I’m just a puppy so with time and training I can do anything! Special Requirements: A home prepared for the time, energy and training it takes to raise a herding breed puppy! *Due to this puppy's age, he/she will be adopted with a Spay/Neuter contract. Puppies will require a $100 deposit that will be returned upon proof of Spay/Neuter *Positive reinforcement obedience training is a great way to bond with your new family member. It can also help set up a relationship with greater odds of success integrating your new pet into your family. Anyone who provides proof of completed positive reinforcement training will receive a 100 dollar refund from Fetch Foster and Rescue Inc! If you have questions or are wondering if the class you want to take qualifies please reach out! ♥ Fetch Foster and Rescue Inc is a 501c3 non-profit organization ##2622010##
