Meet Valerie! Valerie is approximately 7-8 years old and is thought to be a possible Border Collie mix. Valerie was found as a stray and no one came to claim her, which breaks our heart because she is the sweetest, happiest girl who loves people! Because of her circumstances, we don't know what her life was like prior to being found and we're simply learning about her as we go. Valerie is polite and well mannered. She is great in her kennel and loves her dog bed. She also keeps her kennel clean and waits to potty until she goes outside, so we think she's potty trained. She walks well on leash and greets everyone with a wagging tail! Valerie should do well around other pets & children as long as everyone is properly introduced and supervised. Because we don't know her past with other animals, we recommend taking things slow while she adjusts to all of the new information. So far, Valerie seems to be an easy-to-please girl who enjoys being by people more than anything! She has a nice moderate energy level so she'll enjoy a daily leisurely stroll with you, but won't ask you to run a marathon. As long as you give her a belly rub every day and let her snore on a cushy dog bed, she'll be happy! He is now settling into his foster home in Racine, WI and is doing super well! Meet Romeo Romeo is an approximately 6-month-old Border Collie mix who has already overcome more than most dogs his age. He was found as a tiny stray and had been in a kill shelter in Arkansas since he was just 5 weeks old. Recently, he was scheduled for euthanasia but was thankfully tagged in the nick of time and given the second chance he deserved. Despite spending nearly his whole life in a shelter, Romeo is a happy, easygoing guy with a gentle and friendly personality. He loves people, does well with other dogs, and enjoys attention and affection. Romeo is working on all of the puppy stuff — potty training, crate training, and leash manners — and is making great progress in foster care. Like any young pup, he will need continued guidance and consistency, but he is adaptable, eager to learn, and has a wonderful temperament that makes him a joy to have around. She is looking for a semi to active kind family with a securely fenced yard. She will enjoy having being be the only pet to be doted on in the home. She is currently in petsitters home, but small dogs stress her out with their barking. She will be fine with kind children over age of 9 yrs old. She is very affectionate with humans, loves dog beds, toys, walks and treats. She is crate trained, house trained, likes car rides, leash trained and knows commands sit and come. She just loves her humans! Great companion for someone. She was abandoned by owner when very cold.
