Explore our adoptable animals and find your perfect match today! For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org __________ Bonnie Needs a Foster or Adopter to Secure Her Ride to Wisconsin on 5/29 Bonnie is currently waiting in a high-intake Georgia shelter and needs a committed foster or adopter to reserve her spot on transport to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. A committed home is needed for Bonnie to make the trip north and start her next chapter. Meet Bonnie Bonnie and her two siblings were found as frightened strays in rural Georgia. They were so fearful and shut down that rescuers had to safely trap them before they could be brought into the shelter. Life has likely not been easy for Bonnie, but despite her rough start, she has been making steady progress since arriving at the shelter. As she has had more time to decompress, Bonnie has started showing her softer side and is becoming more comfortable around people. She is still building confidence and learning that the world can be a safe place. Bonnie will likely need a patient home willing to continue helping her adjust and work through normal puppy basics like potty training, crate training, and leash walking. Since her background is unknown, it’s safe to assume much of home life may be brand new to her. Bonnie is dog friendly and would likely benefit from a calm, structured environment where she can continue to gain confidence at her own pace. She has not yet been tested with cats or children. She may need a little extra patience and TLC in the beginning, but Bonnie is a sweet girl who is absolutely worth the investment. Age: 8–10 months Gender: Female Weight: Approximately 40 lbs Breed: Border Collie/Retriever Mix (best guess) Spayed/Neutered: Scheduled Available: 5/29 Potty Trained: Unsure Crate Trained: Unsure Leash Manners: Working on it Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Not tested Good with Kids: Not tested Bonnie is ready for a fresh start and would love a foster or adoptive home to help her continue blossoming. Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI, or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $125 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old. **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable** __________ Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up-to-date dewormer, vaccinations, heartworm prevention (age appropriate), and certified veterinarian inspection within 30 days of adoption. __________ Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies _________ ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.) A committed home is needed for Bailey to make the trip north and begin a new life outside the shelter. Meet Bailey Bailey was found as a stray in rural Georgia alongside his two siblings after spending time surviving on their own. The trio was extremely fearful and had to be safely caught using a live trap before they could be brought to safety. Since arriving at the shelter, Bailey has been slowly adjusting to shelter life and making progress each day. While he was initially very scared and unsure of people, he has started learning that human interaction can be positive and safe. Bailey is continuing to come out of his shell and has shown himself to be a sweet dog who simply needs time, patience, and understanding. As with many dogs coming from uncertain backgrounds, Bailey will likely need continued help with the basics of home life, including potty training, crate training, and leash manners. Because his history is unknown, Bailey may still be learning many firsts, but with a supportive family, he has so much potential to thrive. Bailey is dog friendly and would likely do well in a home that can provide routine, structure, and encouragement as he builds confidence. He has not yet been tested with cats or children. Bailey may need some extra TLC as he settles in, but he is a nice young dog who deserves the opportunity to finally feel safe and loved.
