Story
🐾 Meet Peter! 🐾 Peter is a 2-year-old Heeler/Staffy/Labrador Retriever mix weighing 55 lbs of pure love 💛 This sweet boy may be a little shy at first—but that’s only because he’s spent half his life in a shelter, patiently waiting for someone to finally choose him. Once he feels safe, Peter blossoms into a goofy, affectionate pup who just wants to be by your side 🥹 He loves to jump, play, and have fun with both dogs and humans—but he’s just as happy lounging on a cozy bed and being your couch potato companion 🛋️🐶 ✨ The good stuff: • Dog friendly 🐕 • Currently scared of cats (he keeps his distance 😅) • Crate trained ✅ • Neutered, vaccinated & microchipped 💉 • Loves soft beds & being near his people • Sweet, silly, and full of love Peter can be a little bashful and prefers to say hello on his own time—but once he trusts you, he’s all in 💕 He also does best enjoying meals and treats in his own space. He’s still working on house training, but he’s a quick learner and eager to please—he just needs someone patient to show him the ropes 🌟 Peter doesn’t need perfect—he just needs a chance. 💕 Give this special boy the home he’s been waiting for… you won’t regret it. 📍 being fostered in Elkhart Lake, WI 🏁My adoption fee is $200 and you can see more about the rescue at https://lastpawrescue.org. Our website takes days to update so please apply even if I’m not on there. ✅You can apply directly at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LPRI/Dog?fbclid=IwAR2NSCms13xrrfdH2mAbM1hPg5dQoC0ruvNJI3TsFtZtsWp9PvNx46zC6SM 501(c)(3) Approved WI Agricultural Licence#285589-DSR

Story
We are Cajun and Grit! We came from a local home of too many animals in general. We were kept in the barn or kennel our whole life thus far. We have now come to the shelter and are blossoming! Grit is more brave than I, but I have come a long ways! We both love to go for walks. A few meetings may need to happen as new things are a bit frightening. We would love an active person or family!

Biscuit is a sweet, affectionate boy who is gaining confidence every single day. Like his brothers, Bacon and Beans, Biscuit was born in a shelter down south and missed out on having a home to call his own. Now, he's eagerly learning "how to dog" and proving just how much love he has to give. Biscuit is a true velcro dog—if you're standing still, expect him to be right by your side, usually wedged right between your legs for extra closeness! He has the absolute best intentions and a heart of gold. While he has the energy for an active lifestyle, he also has all the makings of the ultimate, world-class couch potato once he's tuckered out. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will literally stay by your side through thick and thin, Biscuit is ready to complete your home! S
