Story
Meet Winston, a three-month-old Terrier mix with the cutest little face and the most charming personality! This handsome boy has warm caramel-colored fur, floppy ears, sweet dark eyes, and the most adorable little white beard that makes him look like a tiny distinguished gentleman. Put him in a bow tie and suddenly he’s ready for a very important meeting! But don't let his fancy outfit fool you — Winston is a total PLAY GUY! He loves running around outside, playing with his toys, wrestling with his dog friends, and having a good game of tug. He is wonderfully social with other dogs and plays sweetly with his foster siblings. He absolutely loves having canine friends to romp around with. Watch Winston’s video here to see his personality shine! https://youtu.be/U-lCQQjFzw4 Winston is also one smart little cookie. He already knows sit, shake, and lay down, and he has mastered fetch — including the very important part where he actually brings the toy back! He loves learning and is eager to please, so he is going to be such a fun dog to train and grow with. When playtime is over, Winston turns into the sweetest little cuddlebug. He loves his people, enjoys being close, and is always ready for some affection. He is crate trained, potty trained, learning his leash skills, and getting wonderfully socialized in his foster home. Winston has even met his first kitty friend and did wonderfully! He greeted the cat with friendly, playful wiggles and was very interested in making a new friend. Since Winston is a playful puppy, a dog friend would be ideal in a home with a cat so he has a proper playmate to romp with. He could absolutely thrive in an apartment with enough exercise, enrichment, and playtime, though a yard would be a fantastic bonus for this little zoomer. Wherever he lives, Winston just wants a family who will let him play, learn, explore, and be their best little sidekick. Smart, silly, cuddly, playful, and sporting the world's cutest puppy beard — Winston is ready to be someone's very best friend! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a7b46a5830ba4595101793f Questions? Story
Post Malone is a scruffy little guy operating under the firm belief that he is much, much bigger. He moves through life with a confidence, carries himself like he has places to be and people to see, and packs an impressive amount of personality into his compact body. The only time his self-image shifts away from that big-dog illusion is the moment he decides he likes you. That's when Post remembers that he is conveniently lap-sized. Then he is climbing in close, handing out kisses and settling into your space like that was his plan all along. Go watch Post Malone on YouTube and meet the little guy with all that scruffy charm. https://youtu.be/oCP2aJWOd2k Now with all the talk of his confidence, it should not be confused that he isn't still sensitive. When faced with new places or loud, busy environments, Post will seek comfort from his people. His confidence is still there he is just setting it aside for a bit in the name of being comforted. We can't blame him, we'd do the same if we could. Dogs seem to make perfect sense to Post Malone. He has been confident meeting new dogs, meeting and playing with wide range of sizes and personalities, and is wonderfully tolerant. A funny moment during a recent playgroup showed off his patience. When a shy puppy eventually found his courage and celebrated by zooming around, he stepped all over Post as he became a tiny tornado and Post simply let it happen. He has also shared toys nicely and has a dog buddy named Mopsey. He doesn't appear to need another dog to provide his confidence, but he enjoys canine company. Cats are where Post's possible terrier roots show. He is far too interested in chasing them, so Post is looking for a cat-free home. At home, we suspect there is a very cozy future waiting for this guy. He appears to fall somewhere in the low-to-medium energy range and is apartment-friendly. He has basic leash skills, responds to guidance with ease and doesn't strike us as a dog who needs a huge amount of activity to be happy. A walk, some sniffing around, a little play, and then perhaps an appointment with your couch and lap sounds perfectly his speed. What we already know about Post is pretty endearing- underneath the scruff and big-boy confidence is a small dog who makes friends fast, enjoys other dogs, seeks his people for comfort and knows exactly what to do with an available lap. If your home has room for one little dog with approximately 75 pounds of self-confidence, Post Malone is ready to give you VIP Passes and front row seats to his show. Ready to make the first move? Meet Jabari Fun-Loving, Happy, and Full of Personality—Jabari Is Ready for Her Forever Home ❤️ Breed: Border Terrier Mix Gender: Female | DOB: 02/18/2024 | Weight/Size: 15 lbs (Small) Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Kids ✔️ | Cats: Unknown Personality: Fun-Loving | ❤️ Affectionate | Friendly | ☀️ Happy Medical: Spay Status: Not Provided | Vaccination Status: Not Provided | Microchip Status: Not Provided Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue coordinates safe transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Jabari's Story Jabari is a little dog with a big love for life. At two and a half years old, this fun-loving girl has the perfect combination of youthful energy and adult maturity. She enjoys playing, exploring, spending time with people, and finding ways to make everyday life a little more entertaining. At only 15 pounds, Jabari is small enough to fit comfortably into many different lifestyles, but don't mistake her size for a lack of personality. She's an engaging little companion who would love having people to share her days with. Jabari has a cheerful, friendly nature and enjoys affection just as much as she enjoys having fun. She would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a smaller dog who still wants to get out, take walks, play, and be involved in family activities. As a Border Terrier Mix, Jabari may share many of the qualities that make Terriers such entertaining companions. Border Terriers are known for being intelligent, affectionate, curious, and energetic. They tend to enjoy exploring and benefit from having appropriate outlets for their natural curiosity. Jabari would thrive with a family that provides: Plenty of love and companionship Daily walks and regular exercise Interactive toys and playtime Positive reinforcement training Mental enrichment and games Continued socialization Consistent household routines Plenty of opportunities to participate in family life A safe indoor home where she's treated as part of the family A lifelong commitment Jabari doesn't need an extraordinary life to be happy. Give her people to love, places to explore, toys to play with, and a home where she belongs, and she'll bring plenty of happiness of her own. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect At two and a half years old, Jabari is past the puppy stage, but adult dogs still benefit tremendously from continued training and clear, consistent routines. Her future family should be prepared to continue working on any household manners, leash skills, basic commands, or other training she may need as she adjusts to her new environment. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to understand her new household routine 3 Months to settle in, build trust, and truly feel at home Terrier mixes can be bright and curious, so Jabari will appreciate activities that exercise her mind as well as her body. Sniffing walks, puzzle toys, training games, and interactive play can all help keep her happy and engaged. Positive reinforcement, patience, and consistency will help Jabari understand what's expected of her while building a strong relationship with her new family. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Adopting Jabari means committing to her care throughout the rest of her life. Her future family should provide: Routine veterinary wellness examinations Vaccinations and boosters as recommended by a veterinarian Spaying if not already completed Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention Routine dental care A nutritious, balanced diet Healthy weight management Daily physical exercise Mental stimulation and enrichment Continued positive reinforcement training Veterinary treatment whenever illness or injury occurs A safe, comfortable indoor home At only two and a half years old, Jabari has many wonderful years ahead of her. Consistent preventative care, good nutrition, regular exercise, and lots of companionship will help keep her healthy and happy. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Jabari, please complete an adoption application at: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to giving deserving dogs the opportunity to find safe, loving, permanent homes. Although we are based in Los Angeles, California, we proudly coordinate safe and reliable transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. Jabari may only be 15 pounds, but she brings plenty of personality with her. She's fun-loving, happy, and ready for walks, playtime, adventures, and cozy moments with the people she loves. Now she just needs a forever family to share it all with. ❤️August 17, 2026, 10:26 pm
