Story
Meet Willa Jean! 🐾 Willa Jean is a shy but sweet scruffy girl with a heart that blooms once she feels safe. Though reserved at first, Willa forms deep bonds with her special person and finds comfort in quiet companionship. She currently lives with a foster family that includes older kids and other dogs, and she enjoys the calm, steady presence of her foster dad—her favorite porch buddy. Willa has a soft spot for gentle men and would thrive in a home with a patient adult or a quiet singleton who understands that trust takes time. She’s comfortable around calm canine companions and could coexist peacefully with another mellow dog. Her ideal day includes lounging in her own yard, soaking up the sunshine, and ending the day curled up in a cozy spot next to her person. If you’re looking for a loyal snuggle buddy who just needs a little time and patience to blossom, Willa Jean is ready to find her forever home—and her forever heart. 💕 Application: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/684109704c93cce7b20cbfa7 If you have any questions, email her adoption coordinator at Marie@threelittlepittiesrescue.org We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey!   You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!    The adoption fee is $1,200 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!    We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.    Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!    Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.   Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:   Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!   Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. Story
**Fostered in Seattle, WA and Ready for Meet and Greets** Estimated at 2 years old and weighing in at a scruffy, adorable 8.5 pounds, Huck might be part Chihuahua, part Border Terrier—or maybe even part bunny, because this boy loves to frolic through the grass and clover. Huck is a sweet, gentle soul who’s looking for a peaceful, quiet home. He can be a little shy at first but give him some time to trust and he’ll become your constant shadow and biggest fan. He’s potty trained, great in the car, and enjoys short outdoor adventures—sunny strolls, a little beach exploration, or simply sniffing around the yard. While he’s not an outdoorsman at heart, he’s always up for being by your side. Huck is currently fostered with a small dog and a cat and does wonderfully with both. He would benefit from having another doggy friend in the home to help him blossom and keep him company when his humans are away. Because he thrives on companionship, he’ll do best with an adopter who is home more often than not. This little frolicker isn’t suited for a busy household with small kiddos, but he’s discovered the joy of snuggling with his foster mom and soaking in the calm, cozy life. Huck gives an excellent side-eye, loves a good cuddle, and will happily settle in for quiet time. If you’re looking for a loyal, ride-or-die sidekick who will bring endless love, snuggles, and gentle companionship, Huckleberry Frolicking Bunnykins is your boy. 💛 Application: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/68410820923ffcbc5f0ee82c Questions? Story
Gwendolyn Twinkle-Toes is one sweet little lady with an adoring heart, a bright mind, and a very serious commitment to earning her snacks. She will absolutely show you her best dance moves for a treat. We’re talking full tiny talent show energy, complete with eye contact and a hopeful little wiggle at the end. Estimated to be 2 years old, she is a petite young adult, possibly a Cairn Terrier mix and she weighs a perfect 10 lbs. Making her the perfect size for lap life, couch life, and “let’s dress her up just because we can” life. Rescue rules apply, so breed and birthday are our best guess. Want to see her treat-powered choreography in action? Head to YouTube and search “Gwendolyn | Twinkle-Toes Treat Queen” and then come right back to meet the girl behind the groove. https://youtu.be/K0OM7bPQeTo Gwendolyn is undeniably people-focused. If there’s a choice between mingling with a crew of canines or locking eyes with her human, she’s picking her person every time. She doesn’t mind being held and she will happily let you play dress-up like she’s the star of a tiny fashion runway. She tolerated handling well overall, though she would prefer if we all collectively agreed that toe-touching is unnecessary. Fair enough, honestly. Outside in the yard, she was more aloof and observant, content to read the room rather than dive into chaos. But inside? Different story. Indoors is where her playful, interactive side really shows up. She was especially sweet and playful with Butterscotch, a larger, calmer adult female, and clearly appreciated that steady energy. With Pinecone, a 6 month old Chihuahua with puppy energy, she stepped into a slightly more “big sister” role when things got too wild, gently setting boundaries in a very appropriate, dog-savvy way. She also shared treats beautifully with Pinecone and Butterscotch, which we love to see. She is a regular in playgroupds with a wide variety of types and sizes of dogs and she navigates social circles with good manners. When she met our house cat, we saw the same thing- appropriate greetings and back to seeing what her people were doing. We could see her being able to live peacefully with a feline friendl. Gwendolyn is both house and kennel trained and does well in her space. She has great basic leash skills and is very responsive to correction, which means a little consistent training will go a long way. She could absolutely thrive in an apartment setting, though it’s worth noting she can be a bit vocal at times. She’s not shy about sharing her thoughts, especially if there’s excitement involved. We believe she could do well in a home with kids, though we can’t specify an exact age range until she gets the chance to meet some little kids, but in everysense we do not anticipate any concerns at all. As always, thoughtful introductions and respectful interactions set everyone up for success. If you’re looking for a loving, people-centered little lady who is ready to keep you company like it’s her full-time job, Gwendolyn Twinkle-Toes is ready for the role of your favorite dance parnter dog.
