Story
We are looking for a new home for our beautiful, affectionate dog who has been deeply loved and well cared for. He is a nearly 3-year-old pup with a sweet, loyal personality. He has done well with our young children and has never shown aggression towards others. We believe he would thrive in a household with a large space for him to run and play, as well as stay active in other ways. He has not been around cats. His puppy energy has mellowed over the past year but he still has some of that border collie personality. Most days, he’s happy lounging on the couch (about 80% of the time) and then enjoying bursts of play indoors or outside. He especially loves being near his people and often follows my husband from room to room. He is smart, very food-motivated, loves to chew, and does well with appropriate toys. He is crate-trained and goes in willingly with treats when we leave the house.

Rizzo`s foster mom states that he enjoys running with her, and they`ve even started doing Couch to 5k together!Rizzo has been an excellent office buddy here at HSHC and a devoted companion to the people who’ve taken the time to get to know him. He’s hoping for a calm and steady home where guests are few, and he can really settle in as someone’s best friend.He may not be the life of the party, but if you prefer quiet mornings, loyal company, and a dog who thinks the sun rises and sets with you... Rizzo is already halfway in love. Come meet him and see if the feeling’s mutual!
