Story
I have had Hagen since he was a puppy. And I love him but I have to do what’s best for him. When my husband was living. We got two Rotties. And for some reason, Hagen and them don’t get along. I am afraid that they will hurt him eventually if I don’t let him go. He also has Cushing Disease that he takes meds for daily. His last updated blood work was in Oct. they said his calcium levels were high and wanted me to see a specialist but I don’t have that kind of money. I put him on a higher dose of the meds and it doesn’t seem to be helping his thirst and pee problem. He is okay around female dogs but does tend to start fights for no reason. He would do better with being the only dog and someone that can afford his medical bills. I hate food, some meds enough for about 2 more weeks(I think), a crate and some clothes for him. I just want some one to be good to him and keep me posted on him monthly.

Meet Corky 🐾 Corky is a 7-year-old, 18 pound, Boston Terrier with the cutest little frosty eyebrows that make him look wise beyond his years — but don’t let that fool you… he still has plenty of playful energy! He's up-to-date on his vaccines and microchipped. This handsome guy loves his toys and will happily entertain himself (and you) with a good play session. When he’s not playing, Corky is all about comfort. He adores his soft, fluffy bed and enjoys relaxing nearby where he can keep an eye on his people. Corky is kennel-trained and does well with structure. He gets along with other dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion. As for cats, he has seen them at the vet and didn’t react, but a proper introduction would be recommended. Because Corky can be a little particular, he would do best in a home with older children who can respect his space. He doesn’t need to sleep in your bed — but he will happily sit beside you in a chair and soak up all the attention you’re willing to give. Corky absolutely loves being loved. If you’re looking for a loyal little sidekick with a playful spirit and a distinguished look, Corky might just be your perfect match. 💙 Please visit www.abtr.org and complete an application to begin the process of becoming an approved adopter.

Story
Meet Rupert 🖤🤍 Rupert is just 1½ years old and all he truly wants is love. This sweet, goofy Boston boy is incredibly smart and will thrive in a home that gives him attention, structure, and affection. He learned how to shake in just one weekend — he’s a smart boy! Rupert is eager to please and loves to show off what he knows. Like any young pup, he can get excited and let his playful energy shine, but he also entertains himself well with toys. He especially enjoys treat puzzles and snuffle mats, and at the end of the day, his favorite place to be is curled up right next to his person soaking up pets. While boarding, several staff members said he was their favorite Boston they’ve ever met — and that’s saying something! He has the classic fun, quirky Boston personality that keeps you smiling. Rupert is kennel trained, does well with structure, and is not destructive. He has previously done well with other dogs; however, he does have some playful quirks (including occasional humping), so he would do best either as an only dog or with a laid-back companion who doesn’t mind his quirks. We are unsure how he would do with cats. Rupert truly loves everyone he meets and is ready to give his whole heart to his forever family. If you’re looking for a loyal, silly, snuggly best friend — Rupert is your guy.

Meet Naomi – Your Adventure Buddy with a Heart of Gold 🐾❤️ Naomi is a beautiful 9-year-old girl who has been deeply loved her entire life. When her previous owners became ill and could no longer care for her, she was lovingly surrendered to ABTR in hopes of finding another wonderful home. Naomi hasn’t let that change her sweet spirit — she’s ready for her next chapter and her next adventure! Don’t let her age fool you — Naomi still loves to play and has the energy and enthusiasm of a much younger dog. You would never guess she’s nine! She especially enjoys toys and is always happy to join in on playtime. Since coming to ABTR, Naomi has lived with nine other dogs and has gotten along beautifully with all of them. She truly enjoys the company of other animals and would likely do well in a home with furry friends. Naomi has had a total ear canal ablation, which means she is now pain-free and no longer suffers from ear infections. She’s feeling better than ever and ready to enjoy life to the fullest. She is also a fantastic traveler and loves going along for the ride, making her the perfect companion for road trips and new adventures 🚗🐶 Naomi is a loving, happy girl who still has so much life and love to share. If you're looking for a loyal companion who is playful, social, and ready to explore the world with you, Naomi may be your perfect match.
