Pet Location: Wayside’s Canine Behavior Center – I`d love to show off all the cool things I’ve learned at Wayside! Please arrive at the shelter before 4pm on our open adoption days to meet me! My Friends at Wayside say: - I am enrolled in Confidence College. This is a program for dogs to build confidence and learn that the world is not so scary. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. - I am from a puppy mill situation. I will likely need extra time to adjust to home life. I have lived with other dogs but have not socialized with people. Things like walking on a leash and going through doorways can be challenging for me. Adopting me will be extremely rewarding, but I need time to learn. - I’m a shy dog and need someone willing to be patient with me.- I’m smart and food/treat motivated. - I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. Please visit our website for additional information. My home needs are: - I need a home with kids 10 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. - I must meet other dogs in the home before adoption to make sure they can “show me the ropes.”- A fenced yard is a must for me! I do not know how to walk on a leash, so I need a secure area to go out for potty breaks. - New people and things make me a little nervous. Wayside recommends that I have a low traffic home. - Special Request from Romeo: For my safety, I need to go home in a travel crate. I also need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. For your convenience, we sell them in our retail store, Whiskers and Wags.

Hi, I’m Rosie, remember that, because I am one memorable girl! My sister Mia and I are looking for a home so you can get double the love and double the fun. We both weigh under 20 pounds and have great manners around the house. We do well on the leash and like walks. Usually, a couple of times a day, Mia and I get a playful spurt and have some fun together. We’d love to have a fenced yard to romp in and explore. What’s so memorable about me? Well, first of all, I’m a 3-year-old Boston Terrier/Pug mix, and I’m smart and curious. I love pets and kisses and will sit right on your lap for as long as you let me. If you even mention my name, my tail winds up at warp speed. I like to watch TV and look at myself in the mirror. I guess I’m funny too, because I look at my people with my big expressive eyes and make them laugh out loud sometimes. I love hard on my people. I have been told I have no concept of personal space! I just want to make sure you feel loved. I’m house-trained, and I sleep all night in my comfy bed on the floor. I’m so ready to make memories together: you, me and Rosie. Let’s do this! Rosie and I are both spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention.
