I am fully vetted and am working on my house training. If I can get out frequently I do well and I will go potty on a leash. I am a little shy when I first meet people and will bark, but a little patience and some treats and I am a complete love bug. I met a new friend a few weeks ago and we went for a car trip and I slept like a baby on her lap. I loved sleeping under a blanket with her holding me like a baby. She could hold me any way she wanted and I was in complete heaven. I am fully vetted including being neutered. I was a little thin when I came into rescue, but I have filled out nicely and I am ready for my very own forever family. I play well with others, and sometimes I get so excited that I play nip and talk a lot. I would do best in a home without young kids only because I am a ball of energy. Hi!  My name is Bama and I am looking for a forever home.  I am an owner surrender to a small rescue after spending the last 5 years of my life living in a small crate.  A volunteer with that rescue saw me and was able to talk my owner into giving me up; she then contacted BCAA to see if they could help me in my search for a home where I can run, play and be a regular dog and they said yes!  I am about 9-10years old although you would never guess it by how much I love to run around (my foster mom says I act like a typical Boston terrier, whatever that means).  I weigh a little under 24lbs and am at a good weight.  I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met, some smaller and some bigger than me, and I haven't bothered those things called cats.  I have done really well in my crate without any accidents or tearing up of bedding; however, I would prefer to be out with you and will sometimes let you know not to forget about me if I see or hear you.  I am good on leash although I may tug a little in my excitement on being out and going on an adventure.  Oh yeah, I love playing with water coming out of a hose!  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org. Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application!
