Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌼 Meet Maple – Retired Mama, Professional Sweetheart 🌼 Say hello to Maple — a 6-year-old, 60-pound Bouvier mix, she looks like one of those wonderful “Heinz 57” dogs where multiple breeds came together and made something extra special! She has the softest eyes, the gentlest soul, and a heart that somehow stayed golden even after life gave her more than a few lemons. Maple has spent much of her life raising puppies (many, many puppies!), and she has officially hung up her mom hat for good. The nursery is CLOSED, the baby bottles are retired, and Maple is now fully focused on the very important job of being spoiled rotten. And honestly? She’s ready for it. Despite her rough beginnings, Maple is incredibly sweet, loving, and grateful for every kind word and gentle pat. She’s the kind of dog who looks at you like you personally hung the moon — especially if you also happen to be holding a treat. Maple gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves people of all sizes. Cats, however, are a hard no. In Maple’s world, C-A-T-S are suspicious little creatures that should be admired only from afar… like on TV… with the sound muted. She’s already got her house manners down like a champ: ✔ House trained ✔ Kennel trained ✔ Dog-door expert ✔ Professional couch potato ✔ Certified soft-bed enthusiast Maple would thrive in a calm, laid-back home where she can finally relax and enjoy the simple joys she may have missed out on — things like naps, belly rubs, slow strolls, and being someone’s very best girl. At 6 years old and 80 pounds, Joy is everything people adore about Bernese Mountain Dogs — sweet, gentle, loyal, and just the right amount of goofy. She has that classic “Berner heart” that leans into you for pets, follows you from room to room, and looks at you like you personally invented sunshine. Joy is calm and affectionate, but don’t let that fool you — she absolutely has her silly moments. The famous “Bernese bounce” makes regular appearances, usually when she’s excited to see you or when she remembers she has legs and should use them. She’s wonderful with other dogs and friendly with everyone she meets. Truly, she’s a social butterfly wrapped in 80 pounds of fluff. And let’s talk about her love language: brushing. Spa day? Best day. Brushing session? Yes please. Extra brushing session? Also yes. She will happily stand (or lean dramatically) while you brush her and tell her how beautiful she is. She agrees, by the way.
