Story
Animal Profile: Paisley is a 20-month-old (DOB 7/16/2021) Bernedoodle purchased as an 8-week-old puppy from Pacific Doodles and lovingly raised in western Washington. Now 80 lbs she is spayed and done growing. She is friendly with other dogs of all shapes and sizes and hasn't met a stranger. She is house-trained, crate-trained, and fully obedience trained as well. Paisley needs a strong owner or owners willing to provider her with ample mental and physical stimulation; without, she becomes overly aroused and mouthy. While Paisley is great with small children, we would like to place her in a dog experienced adult only home or home with older children where she can get lots of attention without the distraction of little ones. More info to come as we get to know her in foster care.  Foster Update: Stay tuned for details. Adopter Profile: Large breed experience required No children 10 or under Other pets in home OK Willing to continue with balanced training * We will not respond to your application if you do not meet the above requirements * Adoption Info: Paisley's adoption fee is $550, which includes spay, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip with lifetime registration, and take home training session. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Animal History: Paisley joined the rescue on March 13,2013 as her owners could not provide her with a suitable environment for Paisley to be her best self, with three small children in the home. Paisley has been thoroughly vetted and trained with no expense spared in her care but needs more physical/mental stimulation and a less over-stimulating environment to be her best self. Paisley is being fostered with Digg It Dog Training and currently available for adoption. June 3, 2023, 7:54 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Tessa is an estimated 9-month-old, 49 lb spayed female super blend of Shepherd, Husky, and a handful of other breeds. She joined us along with her three siblings on 1/13 from Texas. She is dog-friendly and good with people. Ideally, we would like to see her go to a home with a securely fenced yard. Foster Update: Tessa is such a gentle and sweet girl. She has settled in with her foster family and loves playing with the resident dog until completely tuckered out and then she peacefully naps for ages. Tessa loves to snuggle and play. She is timid when meeting new people and takes a bit longer to warm up but once she does she is a total love bug. Tessa is housebroken, pretty quiet, has learned to respond to no and she’s making progress with basic commands. She loves being outside in the yard and romping, running and tossing toys around, or just laying in the grass watching the birds and being content. Tessa still has a bit of the curious and mischievous puppy energy but she is very responsive to correction and is really eager to please. Tessa has some separation anxiety we are working through to help her feel secure and safe. She would love to have a yard and ideally another dog in the home. Tessa is a really special girl looking the right family to see how truly wonderful she is.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from our rescue partner in Texas and arrived in Seattle area foster care on 1/13/23.June 3, 2023, 7:54 pm

Animal Profile: Talia is an estimated 13-month-old, 42 lb spayed female who joined us along with her three siblings on 1/13 from Texas. She is dog-friendly and good with people. We'd like to see her go to a home with a securely fenced yard. More info to come as we get to know her. Foster Update: Talia is a sweet, lovely and gentle pup with a medium coat. She has gotten well accustomed to Seattle and loves the cold weather and being outdoors. She is well settled in our home and follows me or my husband everywhere. She loves to snuggle near you and enjoys her walks a lot. She is very curious and we love it about her! She is timid when approaching anything new - people, dogs, experiences, but once she warms up, she is very lovable. She sleeps well through the night. She responds very well to the ‘No’ command. She is one of those few dogs who would be ready to yield their toys from their mouth at the command "No". She has some separation anxiety when left alone, and we are working on it. She would do well with another resident dog as well and learn from it. She loves our backyard and she loves exploring it multiple times everyday. She loves her squishy toys, and our socks She naps next to me when I work from home, and can be quite playful. She will also do well in an active lifestyle, she has the energy to run around. She hardly makes any sounds at home, except for the alert, possessive bark when someone is at the front door! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Animal Profile: Aspen is an estimated 3-year-old 75 lb (now) spayed female Great Pyrenees dog who was picked up as a stray and taken to Bakersfield animal shelter, where she was euth listed due to space as she was shut down in the kennel environment. She appeared to have an old facial injury or congenital defect -- X-rays here revealed nothing concerning; she will always have a smirky smile. She passed her dog assessment and temperament test but is very shy and scared. We will share more info as we get to know her in foster care.  Foster Update:  Aspen is incredibly sweet, loves human connection and will take belly rubs all day. Estimated 3 years old. Her Great Pyrenees coat is stunning! She   loves to play with dogs (small and big). She is crate trained, enjoys winding down and sleeping in there, it is her safe spot. She has not had an accident in the house and seems potty trained with our routine for breaks. She was a bit weary of exploring the house at first but is becoming more and more curious. She sits pretty and responds to come, we are working on down. When Aspen arrived she was in rough shape and very fearful. She’s opened up so much since we’ve had her and seems so much happier! Lots of tail wags over here! She is still fearful of the leash but we are working on that. She can be scared easily with fast movements and loud noises but we are working on building her confidence everyday. Aspen will need a home that can provide routine, love, and an owner that is committed to working with her on leash and basic training. She would do well in a mellow home with or without other dogs. We have loved fostering Aspen and know her forever home will absolutely fall in love as soon as they meet her!  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was found as a stray in Bakersfield. She is arriving to foster care in Seattle on 04/23/23. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.June 3, 2023, 7:54 pm
