Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Ninja! Ninja is a 1.5-year-old, 75 lb Newfoundland/Border Collie mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This big, fluffy boy is equal parts lovable goofball and loyal companion, with a personality that’s guaranteed to make you smile—especially when he’s walking around with his tongue hanging out and his trademark goofy grin! Ninja is sweet, affectionate, and forms strong bonds with his people. He enjoys spending time with his people and underneath all that fluff is a sensitive, intelligent dog who is still learning about the world and looking for someone willing to help guide him. As you might expect from a dog of his size, Ninja is strong and will need an adopter who can comfortably handle a large dog. He would benefit from continued training and basic obedience work to help him build confidence and develop good manners. He’s eager to connect with his people and will thrive with consistent structure and guidance. Ninja can do well with other dogs but prefers slower introductions and generally gets along best with calmer, more laid-back canine companions. He’s still figuring out how to play appropriately and can become vocal, growly, or reactive on leash when he gets overstimulated or excited. Because of this, we’re looking for a confident, experienced handler who can help him continue building social skills and navigate the world successfully. He could potentially live with another well-matched dog, but he could also thrive as an only dog provided he receives continued socialization and plenty of engagement with his people. Due to his size, energy, and training needs, Ninja is looking for a standalone home with a securely fenced yard. Apartments and condos are not a good fit for him. He would likely be happiest in a quieter area outside the hustle and bustle of busy city life where he can relax, decompress, and enjoy a little more space. As a long-coated breed mix, Ninja will also need a family committed to keeping up with regular grooming and coat maintenance to keep him looking and feeling his best. If you’re looking for a big-hearted, fluffy best friend with a goofy personality and lots of potential, Ninja might just be your perfect match! Ninja is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Koda! He is one of our long-timers and has been waiting with us for 3 years for his forever family! ❤️ He is a very smart, goofy and athletic 70lb, ~4 year-old pup with lots of playful energy. He loves to play fetch so he definitely is a Retriever mix - he looks like a large, black golden Retriever mix - but also has strong guard-dog characteristics and is part Newfoundland. He's not a herder or chaser - he does not seem interested in running off, or chasing bunnies, squirrels or bikes, though cats are afraid of him (and probably should be). He knows basic commands (sit, down, wait, stay, leave it, come, play, ball, food, etc) and learns new things incredibly fast. He loves playing with dogs, but plays quite physically vs chasing them. Koda is happiest when playing ball or when in close proximity of his one 'person'. He's loving and affectionate with 'his person' but being part of a busy family where people are coming and going is challenging for him. He will do best with a single, experienced dog owner, who has the physical space (aka yard/rural vs a townhome in a city), time, patience and energy to work with him. Koda will benefit from structure, stability and exercise - He loves to play and learns very fast. Koda is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400.

Please note that we are a foster based rescue in TX. All of our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. We transport them to new states once adopted. ALL ADOPTERS MUST BE 21+. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org Hi!! I’m Aggie 🐾🤍 I’m a 7-week-old Great Pyrenees/Lab mix puppy with fluffy white fur, puppy-dog eyes, and a very important job: stealing hearts everywhere I go. Right now I’m just a tiny little guy, but one day I’ll probably grow into a big handsome boy around 60–70 lbs full grown. My siblings and I were found as strays in a rural area outside of Bastrop, Texas. Our mama was very, very skinny when we were rescued, but she still took such good care of us. Now we’re safe, loved, and learning that full bellies, soft blankets, and kind people are pretty amazing. I’m a sweet, gentle puppy who loves cuddles, exploring new things, and looking adorable without even trying. I’m still little, so I’m figuring out the whole “being a dog” thing, but I already know I love people and being close to my humans. I’d love a family that will help me grow into the loyal best friend I’m meant to be. Someone to teach me, play with me, let me nap beside them, and remind me every day that I’ll never have to fend for myself again. Until then, I’ll just be over here being fluffy and perfect. 🩵

Please note that we are a foster based rescue in TX. All of our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. We transport them to new states once adopted. ALL ADOPTERS MUST BE 21+. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org Hey there — I’m Astro 🚀💙 I’m a 7-week-old Great Pyrenees/Aussie/Lab mix with fluffy cream-colored fur, dreamy blue eyes, and a face that apparently makes humans immediately start talking in baby voices. I don’t really understand it yet, but I’m rolling with it. My siblings and I were rescued from a rural area outside of Bastrop, Texas after being found as strays with our mama. She was extremely skinny when we came into rescue, but she still took such good care of us. Now we’re safe, loved, and discovering that life is pretty great when you have soft blankets, full bellies, and people who adore you. I’m a sweet and curious little guy with a gentle personality and just enough puppy confidence to make exploring fun. I love waddling around investigating new things, soaking up attention, and giving my best serious “tiny polar bear” expression when people take my picture. With my mix, I’ll probably grow into a beautiful medium-to-large dog around 60–70 lbs full grown — loyal, smart, affectionate, and ready for adventures with my future family. What I’m really looking for is a home where I can grow up feeling safe, loved, and included in all the little moments of life. Someone to teach me things, cuddle me after long puppy days, and remind me that I’ll never have to survive on my own again. Until then, I’ll just keep being the fluffy blue-eyed heartbreaker of the litter. 🩵🐾

Please note that we are a foster based rescue in TX. All of our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. We transport them to new states once adopted. ALL ADOPTERS MUST BE 21+. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org Hi there! I'm Adalida! 🐾 I’m a 7-week-old fluffy little cowgirl, a Great Pyrenees x Labrador mix (with a whole lot of heart). My mama is a Lab x Pyr mix too, and even though we don’t know much about my dad, everyone says I’m gonna grow up to be a strong, beautiful girl around 60-70 lbs. I was found as a stray in Bastrop, Texas, along with my siblings, but now I’m safe, spoiled, and ready to find my forever family. I got my name from the George Strait song “Adalida” — because I’m sweet as Texas sunshine and I’ve got that country soul! I’m the kind of puppy who loves: Cuddling up on soft blankets Gentle play and zoomies Following my people around like a little shadow Giving sweet kisses and those big, soulful eyes that make you melt Even though I’m still a baby, I’m already showing that classic Pyr-Lab sweetness: loyal, goofy, and ready to protect my family (once I’m big enough to reach their knees, of course). If you’re looking for a snuggly, smart, and adventurous best friend who’ll grow into a gorgeous, loyal companion, I just might be your girl. Ready to sing along to George Strait with me and make me yours? — Adalida 💕
