Story
Hi there! I’m Kokoa and I am a young boxer/terrier mix that was returned to the shelter. Yea….I was adopted several weeks ago, but my new owner didn’t realize how much time and energy a young puppy takes! So she brought me back to hopefully find someone with more energy and time to work with me. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. I am what they call a “teenage” puppy so be ready for lots of activity and fun times! Do you have time for an energetic, adorable, and loving puppy?

Story
Bubby is a 6-year-old male Boxer mix who has already been neutered.  He had a very sweet owner who, due to his owner's health issues and Bubby's energy levels, could no longer take care of him.  Bubby has the classic brown coat with white markings of a Boxer; he is a good looking fellow.  He weighs 45 pounds so he is considered to be a medium sized adult dog.  Bubby is active, playful, and quite energetic.  He would require a securely fenced yard where he could properly exercise.  Bubby was a bit of an escape artist in his home.  He would take a stroll down to Subway to see if he could meet new friends and possibly be given a treat.  This illustrates just how friendly Bubby is!  He never meets a stranger and he is good with other dogs and children.  With the right home that matches Bubby's personality , we feel that containing him wouldn't be an issue. He's a very sweet boy who would make an excellent family dog.  ****Bubby is in a foster home and not at the shelter.  If you are interested in meeting Bubby--please call and schedule an appointment so his foster will bring him to the shelter to meet you.  Call 334-358-2882, Monday-Saturday, 11-4.****Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75.  All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.  October 31, 2025, 8:17 am

Story
I have two Boxers that I would like to rehome. Bogey is a 4 year old male boxer, and Gunner is a 2 year old male boxer. They both came from the same breeder, and ironically have the same parents. These two are the best of friends and cuddle buddies. I am looking to rehome them only because I lost my wife earlier this year, and now no one is home with them. They are house broken as well as kennel trained and some great dogs. My boys will be so sad to see them go, but they know how little we are actually home to spend with these guys. They play well with all other animals and just two good boys who do not jump up on people, climb on couches, or get wound up inside. Now when I take them outside it is game on and they are a blast to play with. I would just love to find them a home where someone is home with them so much more than we are now able to with what has happened in our lives. Any questions please let me know.
