Story
Lulu is a 3-month-old female Boxer mix.  She came to PAHS as an owner turn in because her owner could no longer take care of her.  Lulu is brown with just a bit of white markings on her chest.  We just love her precious little ears!  Lulu weighs 19 pounds and we believe she will be a large adult dog who will weigh at least 60 pounds.  She is just as frisky as she can be; and loves to play outside.  Lulu would be great with other dogs and children.  This delightful girl is ready to find her own family to love and to love her back!  Could it be yours?Dog/puppy adoption fees are $100.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $50.  May 1, 2024, 7:53 pm

Story
Hey there! Bubba here! You are looking at an adorable boxer/terrier mix that is about eighteen months old. I think I am one cute guy! Oh and talk about personality...well you know us boxers can be just a bit goofy, but oh so loveable! I was picked up by Animal Control when a kind neighbor called about me needing a home. So they zoomed out to pick me up and I got settled into the big dog run at the shelter. I was never claimed by my family and now I can look for a new home. In case you are interested in adding me to your "fam" you should know that I have all of my vaccinations, that I have a microchip, and that I have been neutered. Oh one small problem did show up on my health check up. It seems that I am heartworm positive, but I am not worried! I know the shelter will see me through my treatment and also help me find a new home.

Story
We adopted Daisy in November of 2021 at six weeks old. She was (and is) a sweetheart. She has loved my two toddlers and 5 year old dog since she met them. We recently moved into an apartment from a house and due to the stress of this and drop of exercise, Daisy needs to be in a home that can love her more than we are able to right now. She is recently up to date on shots. She loves car rides and pup cups, but does lack some socialization skills. She is apprehensive around new dogs but once she knows the dog she has always played nicely and lovingly. She loves to be outside and go for walks. She has one quirk of not using the bathroom on the leash so an accessible fenced area would be best for her. She is a sweetheart and just needs more than my family is able to give her right now.

Story
Penelope is an 1-year-old female Pit Bull Terrier mix who must be spayed before adoption.  She was found in a neighborhood in Deatsville and no owner reclaimed her.  Penelope has a gray coat with tan brindle markings; she is unusually colored and absolutely gorgeous.  She weighs 38 pounds so she is a medium sized dog.  Penelope is super friendly and super duper active!  One of her favorite activities is jumping; and she is quite good at it!  Penelope could be an olympic medalist in jumping!  She would need a securely fenced yard where she could safely get the 'zoomies' out.  Penelope would be good with other dogs and older children (due to her energy level).  She is such a great dog and will make a patient owner quite the great companion.Dog/puppy adoption fees are $100.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $50.  May 1, 2024, 7:53 pm

Story
Bob is an 1-year-old male American Bulldog mix who must be neutered before adoption.  He came to PAHS after he was found, as a stray, out in the county at Jones.  Bob is white with brown and black marking; and he is a good looking fellow.  He weighs 74 pounds so he is a large young adult dog.  Bob is not only a big boy--he is a STRONG guy!  He is working on his leash training but walking him on a leash is NOT for the faint of heart.  He is just a great big-bouncing-boy full of energy.  Since he is so active, Bob would need a securely fenced yard where he can safely play and get some exercise.  We do NOT recommend Bob be in a home with small (or young) children due to his size and energy level.  If you have another dog, you would need to bring your dog out for a 'meet and greet' with Bob to make sure they would play well together.  With a patient owner, who is willing to work with Bob, he will be a great companion.Dog/puppy adoption fees are $100.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $50.  May 1, 2024, 7:53 pm

Story
Billy, formerly known as Tiny, is a 6-month-old male American Bulldog mix who has already been neutered.  He is white with gorgeous brown markings; and he is a handsome fellow.  Billy currently weighs 42 pounds and we believe he will be a large adult dog.  He is active and has some 'puppy energy' that will keep you busy and entertained!  Billy knows the commands 'sit, stay'; is leash trained but not house trained.  Billy would be just fine with children and other dogs.  Since he is playful, he would need a securely fenced yard where he can safely play.  Billy would love life best with an active family who includes him in all their outdoor adventures.  This is such a great dog who is going to make some lucky adopter so happy with their new family member!  Dog/puppy adoption fees are $100.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $50.  May 1, 2024, 7:53 pm
