Hi there! I’m Kokoa and I am a young boxer/terrier mix that was returned to the shelter. Yea….I was adopted several weeks ago, but my new owner didn’t realize how much time and energy a young puppy takes! So she brought me back to hopefully find someone with more energy and time to work with me. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. I am what they call a “teenage” puppy so be ready for lots of activity and fun times! Do you have time for an energetic, adorable, and loving puppy?

Please make sure to read the narrative below our pet's photos as you will find a description of our pet with all we know about them, our adoption fee info, and you will find the link to do our online Adoption Application which is the first step in our Adoption Process!     Please read ALL below where you will find answers about the pet, our adoption fees and how to do our adoption application!   Pet Description:  Ruthie is a female mix, looks like a possible Boxer/Lab mix, five-months old as of early-Oct.  Found as a stray pup and brought to us.  She is super sweet and loving, great with other dogs.   DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more.  (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).   The first step is to our Adoption Application here:  https://elmorehumane.org/adoption-application-online-form2.html .   IMPORTANT – we respond to your emailed applications and queries via email back to you.  Please make sure you have either added our email  (hselco@bellsouth.net)  to your contact list or that you routinely check your SPAM folder for our response just to be safe.  Maggie is a 3-year-old female Pit Bull Terrier who has already been spayed.  She is an owner turn in because there was a new baby in the home; and Maggie was nervous with the family's new addition. Maggie has a gorgeous gray coat with white markings; and her eyes are so pretty!  She you can tell by the condition of her coat that she has been well carried for.  Maggie weighs 84 pounds so she is a big girl!  Her previous owner has shared that Maggie is very gentle and well behaved.  She would be fine in a home with older children and other dogs.  Maggie is both house trained and leash trained.  This is a very nice dog; and if you have always wanted to own a Pit Bull you need to come meet our gentle giant.Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75.  All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Dumpling is a 4-month-old male Pit Bull Terrier mix.  His family (mom and his brother) were found in the woods near a public park; and they were only 3 weeks old.  These guys and their mom have been in a foster home; and now they are ready to find their own homes.  Dumpling is white with gray markings.  This handsome guy is a big puppy who will be a big adult dog.  He is a little reserved when he first meets you; but he warms up to you quickly; and that tail just can't stop wagging!  Dumpling would be fine in a home with children and other dogs.  Come meet our sweet Dumpling--you will love him.Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75.  All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.
