Story
Blueble (A140699) is a 2-year-old American Bulldog mix who weighed 45 pounds on intake! 12/23/25 This sweet talkative boy is Blueble! Blueble was surrendered to the shelter because his owner had too many dogs to care for. Blueble was stated to be kennel-trained, housebroken, and to ride well in a car. He has historically done well with strangers, adults, female dogs, and even kittens! Please ensure that you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new people and animals to help set him up for success. Blueble would benefit from attending a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on his manners. He does have the naughty habits of getting into the trash and jumping on people. Blueble was described as a great dog who is just looking for the right person to love! Story
Copper (A137207) is a 1-year-and-11-month-old Pitbull x Catahoula mix who weighed 72.9 pounds on intake! 12/30/25 This handsome boy is Copper! Copper was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of his own, but sadly, because his owners ran into housing issues with these cold temperatures. Copper was described as outgoing and friendly! However, it was noted that he has a rough style of play. He did well with the children in his last home but can be skeptical of strangers. Making appropriate introductions with new people is important to help set him up for success. It was noted that Copper can be selective with the company of dogs he keeps. He came from the same house as Simon (another available pup) and they were said to be best buds. Ensuring that you make slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all dogs is very important. He was stated to chase after cats and poultry. Copper should go to a home without tempting small critters to chase after. He is a smart boy and would appreciate a home that can keep him both mentally and physically stimulated. He would also benefit from attending a basic obedience class to continue working on his manners. Copper was said to be kennel trained and is mostly housebroken but still has the occasional accident. He is looking for a patient owner who will continue to work with him. If you are interested in meeting Copper, please let us know! 01/14/25 This talkative boy is Copper! Copper was surrendered to the shelter because his owner had received noise complaints about him and, due to apartment living, felt they could not manage it. He was said to be a wonderful boy â&#194&#128&#194&#147 amazing â&#194&#128&#194&#147 but very vocal. Copper was said to do great with people and loves babies and children! He was also said to do well with dogs and had even previously lived with two cats! Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with any and all new potential friends! Copper was also said to be kennel trained, housebroken, and rides well in a car. However, his prior owner did note that he does not always mind the best and likes to jump up on people. Copper would benefit from attending a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on his manners! If you are interested in meeting Copper, please let us know! Story
Grizzly (A139367) is a 1-year-old Pitbull x Husky mix who weighed 55 pounds on intake! 01/15/26 This handsome boy is Grizzly! Grizzly was originally rehomed due to his owner moving. The family to whom he was rehomed quickly realized he was not the right fit for them. Grizzly was said to be jealous of the other dogs in the home and did not get along with the senior dog. Since they had had that dog since it was a puppy, they did not find it fair to him to keep Grizzly. Grizzly was only in their care for less than 24 hours and was said to have previously gotten along well with other dogs. It is very important that slow, safe, and controlled introductions are made. We also encourage his next owner to look into the Rule of 3 when bringing a new pet home. Grizzly is a little underweight and it would be wise to initially feed him separately from other pets to help set him up for success. Grizzly was said to have only growled at the other dogs and made no attempt to nip or snap. However, it was noted that he would chase cats and should go to a home without feline friends. Grizzly was said to do wonderfully with the children in the home and great with adults! He was described as an outgoing, friendly, and affectionate dog! They also said that he was housebroken and rides well in a vehicle! Grizzly would benefit from attending a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on his manners and build his confidence. If you are interested in meeting Grizzly, please let us know! January 17, 2026, 6:15 pm
