This lovely 3-year-old spayed Pit Bull mix is looking for a dedicated and experienced adopter who understands the needs of her breed and is committed to continuing her development. She knows her “sit” cue, takes treats gently, and needs time to build strong bonds with the people until she trusts them. She can be aloof when meeting new people and takes time to warm up, so she is seeking a calm, structured, adult-only home (or a home with children 12+ at ABC discretion) where her boundaries will be respected. She will thrive with an active owner who can provide daily leash walks, a securely fenced backyard, and consistent opportunities for enrichment. She is not a candidate for off-leash parks at this time, as she requires continued work on recall. Any introductions to other dogs should occur in a controlled setting to ensure a positive experience. Her future family must be prepared to follow a structured food program that includes interactive feeders or toys, hand feeding, and trade-up exercises to help build confidence and positive associations. Attendance in a basic manners class and/or private behaviour training is required to support her ongoing success. For someone willing to invest the time, patience, and consistency she deserves, she has the potential to become a loyal and rewarding companion. This girl had some lumps and bumps when she came to us, so we removed them all and sent them away for anaylsis. 2 of her 3 lumps were no issue, the one was a mast cell tumor( low grade), so as a precaution, we took extra skin around the surgery site, to ensure we removed all of it successfully( which we did). We recommend always keeping an eye on the skin for future lumps and bumps because as we age, we tend to grow them. Also a wellness exam every 6 months, instead of yearly. Size: Medium 31.5kg / 69.5lbsChildren: Adult only home please (12 years and older may be approved with ABC discretion)Cats: Not tested with cats. Recommend slow introductionsDogs: Recommend multiple neutral one on one dog interactions

Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as he is not available to meet on site.Ever seen a house seal before? Meet Sebastian! This affectionate, expressive boy has the most adorable face ever and, as you can tell by his photos, is loving the foster life! He has really made himself at home and much prefers the comforts of his foster placement to the uncertainties of the shelter. His eyes tell a thousand stories, and he’s not shy about speaking up either! Whether it’s mealtime or a favourite toy has gotten stuck under the couch, Sebastian will make sure you know!Sebastian is the perfect blend of active, playful dog and couch potato, happy to go on a walking adventure and then settle onto the sofa in his jammies for downtime with his favourite humans. His foster family says that he`s been a fantastic house guest, sleeping peacefully through the night and staying home alone for several hours without causing any chaos. He also loves showing his love through slobbery kisses.Sebastian does have some big feelings about other dogs and needs to be your one-and-only pup. He’s working hard on his leash reactivity and can pull strongly when he spots another dog, so a confident handler with a secure grip is essential. He has lived successfully with cats before and may do well with a dog-savvy feline! His history with children is unknown, so older kids are recommended. If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind character, Sebastian may be your guy!Sebastian is:- unknown with kids, older recommended- open to cats, lived with them successfully, slow intros required- no dogs, history of being attacked and dog reactivity

At home, Rafa enjoys taking long naps in the sun, watching TV, and hanging out with his family. Rafa is fully house-trained, but he`s still working on leash manners! After all, he`s still young at heart and walks are EXCITING! Rafa is not a fan of other animals and would like to be your one and only. Rafa does have some health information to be aware of - the adoptions team can tell you more when you meet him!
