Meet our one-eyed sweetheart, Favour! Despite a rough past, Favour has been described as an extremely gentle, friendly and resilient little pup. She is very trusting and is always prepared for snuggles and pets with a wagging tail! While she was recovering from her eye removal surgery, Favour spent a few nights in a foster home where she did amazing with both the humans and their dogs. Having a canine friend to learn from, play and snuggle with would be great! Favour also did wonderfully with car rides, sleeping through the night in her crate, and navigating life with one eye. She is still a puppy, though, so will need continued support with basic life skills like potty training. Come meet Favour today!

Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as he is not available to meet on site.Ever seen a house seal before? Meet Sebastian! This affectionate, expressive boy has the most adorable face ever and, as you can tell by his photos, is loving the foster life! He has really made himself at home and much prefers the comforts of his foster placement to the uncertainties of the shelter. His eyes tell a thousand stories, and he’s not shy about speaking up either! Whether it’s mealtime or a favourite toy has gotten stuck under the couch, Sebastian will make sure you know!Sebastian is the perfect blend of active, playful dog and couch potato, happy to go on a walking adventure and then settle onto the sofa in his jammies for downtime with his favourite humans. His foster family says that he`s been a fantastic house guest, sleeping peacefully through the night and staying home alone for several hours without causing any chaos. He also loves showing his love through slobbery kisses.Sebastian does have some big feelings about other dogs and needs to be your one-and-only pup. He’s working hard on his leash reactivity and can pull strongly when he spots another dog, so a confident handler with a secure grip is essential. He has lived successfully with cats before and may do well with a dog-savvy feline! His history with children is unknown, so older kids are recommended. If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind character, Sebastian may be your guy!Sebastian is:- unknown with kids, older recommended- open to cats, lived with them successfully, slow intros required- no dogs, history of being attacked and dog reactivity

Hoping you`ll be her forever family, meet Hope! Having come into our care under rough circumstances, Hope`s name is very fitting. This beautiful Pittie started off pretty fearful, but has come so far with the help of our dedicated staff and volunteers! She might still be hesitant when meeting new people, but once she knows you, she is the wiggliest, happiest girl. Hope absolutely loves treats, so whether you`re offering them to build trust, to reward her for a new skill or to put them in fun enrichment toys, she`s all about it! Her motivation for food and toys make training a breeze and keeps her active body and brain happy! She eagerly awaits her daily walks and could sniff and explore for hours on end if she was able to. We wouldn`t describe her as a snuggly dog, but she does appreciate pets and ear scratches here and there. Just make sure you`re giving her breaks and watching for any discomfort due to her touch sensitivities! We don`t know if Hope has ever been around kids before, but because of her nervousness, older kids who can read her body language are a requirement. We`re also not sure how she`d do with cats, so slow, gradual introductions are a must. Hope did come into our care with another dog, but with the limited history we have, we don`t know what their relationship was like in the home. She may enjoy a canine friend after proper introductions! If you`ve been looking for an active adventure buddy, Hope might be your gal!Hope is:- unknown with kids, older kids who can read and respect body language required- unknown with cats, slow intros required- unknown with dogs, intros in shelter required- sensitive to certain touch and will need someone who can support her needs
