Story
This 6-year-old neutered Pitbull mix is looking for a calm, structured home where he can settle into a steady routine and build a strong bond with his adopter. He is a polite and gentle companion who already knows cues such as “sit” and “shake a paw,” and he takes treats softly. While he does not actively seek out attention, he will benefit from a patient, dog-savvy owner who understands his breed and can respect his independent nature. He would do best in an adult-only, quiet home environment with experienced dog owners who can provide daily leash walks, a fenced yard, and a consistent routine to support his needs as he transitions into his senior years. He may coexist with a calm, well-matched dog following controlled introductions, but off-leash parks are not recommended initially as he requires time to build recall and bonding. His adopter will need to be committed to implementing a structured food program, including enrichment feeding, hand-feeding, and trade-up exercises, as well as attending a required private behaviour training class. With the right guidance and a peaceful home, he has the potential to be a steady, rewarding companion.Responds to verbal cues: Yes - `sit` and `shake a paw` - takes treats gentlySize: Medium 30kg/ 66lbsChildren: Adult only home pleaseCats: not tested with cats. Recommend slow introductionsDogs: May do best with dogs of similar size and age.
