This is Buster, a boxer mix, but he's a whole lotta Boxer! :) This dog was relinquished to the rescuer a few weeks back from a situation where he was not being cared for ... no food, no water, no nothing. It was heartbreaking. Fortunately, he was found and was given the help he needed to get back up and running. Since being found, he has added much needed weight and has been fully vetted. He is heartworm negative and received a ProHeart6 injection to prevent him from getting heartworms for the next six months. The rescuer made sure to get him everything he needed. Now the only thing this precious boy needs is a forever home. Let me tell you more.Buster is an amazing dog. Even though he's was so neglected in his former home, he holds no ill feeling toward humans. He loves EVERYONE, including all other dogs in his present foster home and even cats! He's a happy-go-lucky boy and a pleasant companion. He currently weighs 48.2 pounds and is getting close to his top weight. This sweetheart is also smart and has taken to learning commands. We adopted Selkie from Cabot animal shelter July 2025. They didn't know how she would be with cats but said she is good with kids. She is great with kids, unfortunately not good with cats. She's a very sweet and loving dog. We have loved having her. She takes a good minute to warm up to other dogs, especially male dogs. We think she was used as a breeding dog before we adopted her. Given time to warm up she gets along with other dogs, just not cats.

Blu is a very timid and shy dog. I originally took him in just to foster, but it’s been difficult finding the right home for him. He went through some things in his previous home, so he can be very stand-offish at first, though he is not aggressive at all. Once he gets comfortable and trusts you, he becomes extremely clingy and loving. He loves being close, laying under you while you relax or sleep, and he even makes little grunting noises when you pet him. Blu is truly a gentle, beautiful soul who just needs patience and a safe, loving home.
