Story
Gypsy is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Gypsy came from a bad home. She was not being fed and was severely underweight. So the people surrendered Gypsy and her puppies to animal control to avoid animal cruelty charges. We had Gypsy DNA tested and the results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited and we now know that comes from the Boxer in her. Gypsy is around 4 years of age and weighs 70 pounds (she only weighed 35 pounds when we got her). Gypsy is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog I have ever seen. Gypsy is fairly active. Gypsy loves to run and play with her toys and she especially loves squeaky toys. Gypsy loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot. She gets excited about squirrels and cats on the other side of the fence. Gypsy does well with all dogs but gets along best with male dogs. She is normally good around small dogs but will occasionally mistake one for a toy when she gets over-excited. So she is not recommended for homes with small dogs. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with children. She can sit and comes when called, She is crate-trained, house-trained, and otherwise very well-behaved in the house. She could perhaps use a bit more obedience training with someone that is firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is very sweet. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. She must be in the house as a loved member of the family and would like a large yard with a 6' fence to run and play. Gypsy is healthy. She is spayed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. We used the slow-kill method (we are happy to explain this) and she is now negative for heartworms and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Kent, Arlington, or Bellingham WA. She is being fostered in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. Meet Laika! https://youtu.be/PbqVh7KGJjI See why Meagan loves Laika: https://youtube.com/shorts/MY3yj1W-HMk?feature=share -FRIENDLY AND PLAYFUL - AFFECTION DRIVEN -POTTY TRAINED This ridiculously happy girl is going to be an absolutely BELOVED family member for some lucky home! Laika is approximately 2-3 years old and 59 pounds of smiles! This first time mom found herself alone and pregnant when a kind Houstonian took her in. After raising her 9 puppies, Laika is ready for a home of her own! Laika is good with dogs- Our evaluation team had 4 other dogs in the pen with her! Typically during pups' assessment we take it easy and start them out slowly with 1 or 2 dogs. No need to with Laika! She's just a social butterfly!! Laika is good with kids age 8+ and really adores her time with people big and small! Laika is fully Potty trained! She's a bit strong on a leash (so many things to smell!) So she'll need someone willing to help her improve her leash skills so she can comfortably accompany you everywhere you go! No problems with house training but she has a lot of energy so would do best with another dog. Currently fostered in Texas- Laika is ready to transport to her new home in the PNW! Don't miss out on this amazing girl! 🐾 Meet Noel – Brown-Eyed Beauty 🐾 👀 Noel, with her soulful brown eyes, is on the lookout for a forever family that will cherish and love her unconditionally. 🛋️ She is a super soft, cuddle-loving girl who enjoys nothing more than lounging on the couch, playing with her stuffies, and receiving endless pets and belly rubs. 🐶 Currently fostered in Friendswood, Texas, Noel shares her space with 6 small and 1 large dog. She has also interacted with larger dogs in playgroups and gets along well with everyone. She isn't a big player and would be just as content being the only fur baby in your life! Noel is potty trained and quiet in her crate. In the car, she becomes quite vocal, singing to the radio and barking hi to passing cars and people. . 🍽️ Due to her past experiences, Noel can be protective of her food. She is fed in her kennel, away from the other dogs. She may need to continue this practice in her forever home. She is not reactive to humans eating by her so you can snack away with her by your side. 👶 Noel is fantastic with children of all ages, but her enthusiastic nature may be a bit much for the little ones, so we recommend a home with children aged 6 and older. 🌳 Noel loves going to the park, exploring all the sights and smells. A gentle leader leash helps with her tendency to pull and chase squirrels. She loves to say hi to everyone that passes! 📝 If you believe Noel is the missing piece to your family puzzle, don't wait! Apply for her below, and her foster mom will be in touch. Let's give Noel the forever home she deserves! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Story
Are you looking to add some happiness and constant smiles to your life? Stevie Waller is just the girl for you! This bowling ball of happiness is probably one of the happiest dogs you will ever meet. She is always smiling, tail is always wagging, and she greets you like she hasn't seen you in ages every time you return home. Her enthusiasm for life is contagious and she is the best package of happiness that you could ever come home to. Watch her video here: https://youtu.be/BJAFcpu7reU?si=DTwIFRnx_Rx6bJDk Stevie Waller is a pocket pittie mix approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 35lbs and is full grown! We do not expect her to get much bigger, if at all. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Stevie is very dog friendly and loves to play! She did wonderful with everyday we introduced her to and she loved playing with our 2 little 12 lb scruffy dogs that we use for assessments. One of her favorite games is to play chase and she is so mindful about the little dogs as well, making sure that she doesn't run all over them. She knows when to settle down as well and isn't all about play time 24/7. Stevie also did well during her cat test and wasn't overly interested in them. We do not know if she has ever lived with cats before nor can we guarantee that things won't change. We do believe that with slow and proper introductions, she can coexist in a home with cats. She would love to be adopted out to a family with a play mate but does not need to be adopted out with another dog to feel comfortable. She is confident all on her own and does great meeting new people. She loves everyone and knows no stranger. Stevie would also love to have a backyard that she can romp around in and get all the zoomies in and bask in the sunshine. She does have energy but nothing a good exercise, mental stimulation or romp in the backyard can't help. Her energy is mainly associated with how happy she is all the time. She is treat motivated and eager to please which will help make any additional training that much more enjoyable. To our knowledge, she is crate trained and potty trained but may need a reminder about where the appropriate potty places are once in her forever home.We are willing to test Stevie Waller with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Story
This cutie is Green Bean Casserole! He is currently 11 weeks old and we think he will be medium sized since his mom is only 30-35 lbs. We think he may be a boxer/pittie mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! His mom has the absolute sweetest disposition and we expect that he will too. What matters most is that he is adorable and one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his life as well as the life of another in its place. Green Bean Casserole is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. He loves to play with his siblings and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat- such is puppy life! He and his littermates have been well socialized and are very happy and friendly puppies, ready for their new forever homes! Green Bean Casserole is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Currently fostered in Texas, he is now ready for transport to the Pacific Northwest or New England. Story
**This dog is currently being fostered in Houston Texas but is available for adoption via rescue transport. We provide zoom call to meet your dog prior to adoption as well as no added fees for transport** Bio: Kyra is a happy go lucky pup who found herself abandoned on the streets. She was emaciated, had poor skin and just full of worms. Thankfully an amazing woman found her and took her in. She got her clean, well fed, and fully vetted. Now, Kyra is ready to start the next chapter in her adventure! Kyra is 2 years old, and is a total hambone of a dog. We believe she is some kind of pitbull, retriever, hound mix. Basically what we call, a Texas Street Special! Whatever her breed, she is all adventure pup and very eager for life. Kyra loves people, I don't think she could ever meet a stranger. She's extremely loving, and enjoys cuddles on the couch, giving kisses, and looking cute for treats! We think she would even do wonderfully with children, though we suggest age 10+, not because she isn't a good girl but because her sheer size could pose an issue for smaller kids. Sometimes she gets the zoomies when excited and small children may be overlooked when she's zooming around. Kyra has done wonderful with other dogs as well. She is fantastic at her doggie daycare, does well at dog parks, and loves to play. While a bit rough for play with smaller dogs, large pups and her do fantastic. Kyra matches the energy of the pups she is with, so if they want calm, she will be calm. If they want crazy, she will start her zooming! At times, she can be quite vocal when playing with others, but all of it is playful banter. We think Kyra would absolutely love to have another large canine brother or sister to enjoy life with, but would also do well as an only pup too! Kyra does very well with training, mostly due to the fact that she's so smart. She learns quickly, and at times, can be TOO smart. Like how she knows how to push the door open if it's not latched properly. She knows her basics such as sit, kennel, stay. Her only need for training is to have continued impulse control taught, as she struggles when she's over excited to stay in place. Though, which dog doesn't! She is fully crate trained, and is doing fantastic with her leash training. She is Housebroken, but being such a big pup still, we suggest using a kennel until fully acclimated. Though she quite enjoys cuddling in the bed if you'll allow. Kyra is fully vetted, meaning she is current on all vaccinations and preventions. She is spayed as well as microchipped too. For more information on how to adopt Kyra, contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com.
