Are you ready to welcome a bundle of joy into your home? Meet Finch, a delightful 2-year-old Boxer mix who is on the lookout for his forever family. Finch isn't just a dog; he's the perfect recipe for love, fun, and endless adventures. **About Finch:** **Name:** Finch **Breed:** Boxer Mix **Age:** 2 years **Personality:** Playful, Loving, Ideal Family Dog **Finch's Story:** Finch is more than just a handsome face – he's a furry friend eager to share his love and joy with a family to call his own. His past may be a mystery, but his future is destined to be filled with laughter, wagging tails, and cherished moments with his forever family. **What Finch Loves:** ‍‍‍ **Family Time:** Finch is the epitome of a family dog. He adores spending quality time with his human pack and is ready to be the heartwarming addition to your family. &#239&#184&#143 **Adventures:** Finch is a spirited adventurer! If you're looking for a loving companion who enjoys both quiet family moments and lively adventures, Finch is the missing piece to complete your family puzzle. Update from a temporary foster:  I brought Finch home for a week & took him back to OTC today. He rides perfectly in the car, lays down & relaxes. He’s a very friendly, happy dog. He has great recall in the fenced in yard. He is young & active, but once given time to run around he mellows out well with a fluffy bed & peanutbutter kong ball. He likes to play with balls that bounce around and is very treat motivated. He sits quickly on command for a treat. He wasn’t overly interested in my goats, but did want to chase chicken (he could probably be worked with to be around chickens supervised) He’d rather continue on his walk than deal with my cat hissing at him. He does pull a little on the leash and when excited bites at some. He listens to correction very well, so be probably gets away with it because it’s cute. Overall he’s a very fun/ good dog.         **Ready to Make Finch a Part of Your Family? ** If you're ready for a lifetime of love, laughter, and adventures, contact Wags and Whiskers at 530-895-8888 to inquire about adopting Finch. Let the journey of love and companionship begin with Finch by your side!May 4, 2024, 1:09 am

Story
Meet Bluebell, this girl is sweeter than a flower and can't wait to prove it to everyone! Bluebell came to Wags and Whiskers after she sadly gave birth to 8 beautiful pups, in the overcrowded, high kill shelter, that she had found herself in, at only roughly 10 months old, herself. Unfortunately for dogs like Bluebell and her pups, giving birth in a kill shelter means that they get front row seats on the euthanasia list; Bluebell and her pups were lucky enough to escape this sad fate, when the shelter reached out to Wags and Whiskers and asked for help to save these 9 lives. Wags and Whiskers members didn't hesitate and a volunteer was off to bring Bluebell and her pups to safety. Since coming to Wags, Bluebell's pups were named after flowers, and all were placed in a loving foster home, where they were allowed to thrive and flourish in a warm, comfy, clean and loving home. Now, Bluebell has weaned her pups, and she is ready to prove how ready she is for her forever family! Bluebell does good with dogs of all size, kids of all ages, every adult she comes in contact with, and even her foster mom's lambs! Bluebell is a true prize to behold, don't hesitate to put your application in today!   Apply to adopt by clicking on the link below http://www.wagsandwhiskerspetrescue.com/adopt.html Thank you so much for looking into wags and whiskers for your next family member. All of our pets are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested if over 6 months old and will be spayed or neutered before being allowed to go home.  Unfortunately, we don't always know the background of each dog. Some were dumped, abandoned in an empty house, left tied to a tree, picked up by animal control as strays, or simply unwanted by their owners. Please take into consideration that owning a pet is a 10+ year commitment and discuss with all members of your family before submitting an application to adopt.  If you have already filled out an online adoption application with our organization in the last 6 months you do not need to fill out another application. Please call or email us to schedule an appointment.  530-895-8888 If you are interested in meeting this pet please apply to adopt at http://www.wagsandwhiskerspetrescue.com/adopt.html if the pet is still available for adoption and you are approved to adopt we will contact you to set up a meet and greet appointment.    May 4, 2024, 1:09 am
