Ready to adopt? Start by filling out an application at tailsofrescue.org or click the Adoption button below—this is the first step to learn more about our animals and for us to get to know you. Since not all of our pets come into the store each day, adoption meet-and-greets are scheduled by appointment. Meet Rock Gecko  This six-month-old mixed pup is as handsome as his name is cool! With his naturally docked tail and those Boxer looks, Rock Gecko is part of our Gecko family — related to many of the other white and brown pups you’ve seen in our photos.   He takes about ten minutes to warm up, but once he does, he’s all in — affectionate, loyal, and full of heart. His house training is going great, and he loves heading outside in “pack mode.” We’re still working on leash manners, as the leash is a little scary for him right now, but he’s learning with patience and trust. Rock Gecko would do best with another dog friend and hasn’t been exposed to small children, cats, or livestock. This sweet boy is ready for his forever home — one that matches his gentle spirit and helps him continue to grow in confidence.    #AdoptDontShop #RescueDog #TORinKahoots #AdoptRockGecko #BoxerMix #RescueLife #FosterDog #GeckoPups #DogsofInstagram Spayed/Neuiterd, micro chipped, heartworm negative (if of age), dhpp shots, kennel cough vacs., and one year rabies is completed.  Adoption fee is $300  We are NOT a first-come-first to adopt a rescue, the best fit for the family and dog is the way we do things.  We do out of town adoptions often, but will not ship animals must come to Redding for pick up.   ##2533914##

Story
If you are seriously interested in an animal, we ask that you first fill out an application, tailsofrescue.org  This will be the first step to gaining more information about the animal as well as allow us to know a little bit about you.  All dogs are in foster home at night. Not every dog comes to the store each day please set up a meet and greet   Adoptions are closed until 8/18/25 as our coordinator is unavailable. You may still submit applications, and they will be reviewed starting Monday afternoon, 1/18. Thank you for understanding Meet Praying Mantis! Born April 2, 2025, Praying Mantis is one of Gecko’s nine unique pups—and he’s got personality for days. One moment he’s laid back and shy, the next he’s all up in your face and ready to play. His vibe depends on the group he’s with and the energy you bring.   While mom looks like a Corgi-Shepherd mix, some of her boys—like Mantis—have long, lean legs and a build more like a Boxer. He also has a naturally docked tail, adding to his one-of-a-kind look.   He does well in puppy playgroups and with larger dogs. He’s had light exposure to cats but hasn’t spent much time with them. When it comes to water, he’s more of a “dip the toes” kind of pup—no swimming for him just yet.   If you’re looking for a dog with charm, range, and good looks, Praying Mantis might be the perfect match.   Spayed/Neuiterd, micro chipped, heartworm negative (if of age), dhpp shots, kennel cough vacs., and one year rabies is completed.  Adoption fee is $350.00  We are NOT a first-come-first to adopt a rescue, the best fit for the family and dog is the way we do things.  We do out of town adoptions often, but will not ship animals must come to Redding for pick up.   ##2455558##

Beetlebug is one of nine adorable puppies born to sweet mama Gekko (a corgi-shepherd mix) on April 2, 2025—and he’s ready to find his forever family! While his mom is short and stout, Beetlebug took after the long-legged, boxer-ish side of the family. This fun-loving pup is a total water enthusiast and would happily splash the day away if he could.   Beetlebug is neutered, microchipped, current on all puppy shots, and even has his rabies vaccination. He’s still working on house manners, leash training, and basic puppy etiquette, but he’s eager to learn and full of love.   If you think Beetlebug could be your perfect match, please fill out an application at tailsofrescue.org or click the Adoption button below. He loves water and playing outdoors and listens very good he doesn’t have an issue with my daughter and has been a great dog!
