Story
Roxy got to go on a few dates and had an awesome time. She was great in the car, sometimes wanting to be the co-pilot. She loves pets, walks, hikes and chilling at her date's house. Her date said she is an easy dog with great house manners. Her dates also said she was a fun dog who enjoys cuddles and pets and is happy both walking or just lounging in the home or in the park. She absolutely LOVES the water and turned into a giant puppy jumping around and playing in it. They noted that Roxy has a lot of energy for a senior dog. They said, "Roxy is a perfect baby ❤️ " Roxy has great energy levels but was easy to tire out with a short hike. She is fantastic on a leash and hardly ever pulled and was very happy to stay at her date's side. She enjoys all of the hugs, kisses, pets and treats in the world. She would actually get a little upset when her dates weren't actively petting or touching her in some way. She's super sweet and goofy. All she really wants to do is spend time with her human. Roxy can't wait to meet you and make you her personal human. Please don't keep her waiting long!

Story
Firecracker has already done the hardest job of her life—raising ten beautiful puppies. Now that her babies are growing up and finding families of their own, it's finally her turn. When Firecracker arrived at Boxers & Buddies, she was severely underweight and completely emaciated after giving everything she had to care for her puppies. Thanks to the love and dedication of her foster family, she's leaving those difficult days behind. She's gaining weight, learning what it feels like to be cared for, and discovering that life can be peaceful, comfortable, and full of love.Today, this beautiful 37-pound girl is happy, affectionate, and enjoying the simple things—soft beds, regular meals, and the companionship of people and other dogs. She gets along well with other dogs and is embracing the quiet, secure life she always deserved.Firecracker has spent her life putting everyone else first. Now she's looking for a forever family who will put her first. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a resilient spirit and a heart full of love, Firecracker is ready to start the next chapter of her story—with you. Before adoption, all Boxers & Buddies dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date with age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, and fostered in loving homes where they are treated like family and practice important socialization skills. We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions. Story
***MY ADOPTION FEE HAS BEEN SPONSORED BY A GENEROUS DONOR; IN MEMORY OF JOAN HALLAHAN***Hi, my name is Brindle Rose!I’m a slow-blooming kind of girl. New people and unfamiliar situations can feel overwhelming at first, but beneath my cautious exterior is a deeply affectionate dog who wants nothing more than to feel safe, loved, and understood. Give me the time to trust you, and you’ll discover a devoted companion who stays close, seeks comfort by your side, and gives her whole heart to the people she loves. One of the best ways to see my personality blossom is around other dogs. I’m a playgroup queen who loves to play, and having a confident canine friend nearby can help me feel braver in the world. I look to them for reassurance, follow their lead, and begin showing the joyful, playful side that’s been waiting to come out. I could also thrive as your one-and-only in a peaceful home where we can build my confidence together.I’m searching for a patient person who understands that the most meaningful relationships aren’t always instant. With a calm home, gentle encouragement, and someone willing to celebrate every little victory, I have so much potential to become an incredible companion.Watching me learn to trust, play, and fully embrace life won’t just change my world—it may become one of the most rewarding love stories of yours. Come meet me, take things at my pace, and you may just become the person who helps me finally bloom. ??Dog Compatibility: Ask about my previous history; I may enjoy sharing my home with a confident and social male dog who is my size or larger.Cat Compatibility: Ask about my previous history; I am not compatible with cats.Child Compatibility: Ask about my previous history; I am seeking a quiet, adult-only home. Housing Needs: Fenced yard required. From: Owner/Guardian Surrender
