Story
Jazz may look familiar to some of our Boxers & Buddies followers. She was one of Luciana’s puppies, and like her siblings, she was adopted quickly thanks to her playful personality and friendly nature.Unfortunately, Jazz recently returned to rescue through no fault of her own. Her previous adopter’s schedule became too busy, and Jazz simply wasn’t getting the time and structure a young dog needs. Now she’s ready to find a home that can give her the attention and activity she deserves.Jazz is a sweet, playful, and intelligent young dog who thrives in a structured environment. She enjoys being around people, learning new things, and staying active. With the right guidance and consistency, she will make a wonderful companion. We also ran a DNA test to learn more about this unique girl. Her results show a fun mix of breeds, including:• 28% Boxer• 15% German Shepherd Dog• 14% Siberian Husky• 12% Doberman Pinscher• 12% Neapolitan MastiffWith this combination, it’s no surprise that Jazz is smart, energetic, loyal, and eager to bond with her people.Jazz would do best with a family who:• Enjoys daily walks, playtime, or outdoor activities• Can provide structure and continued training• Understands that young dogs need time, engagement, and consistencyIn return, Jazz will give you a loyal, affectionate companion who is excited to be part of the family. If you’re looking for a fun, active dog who is ready to learn and grow with you, Jazz might be your girl.We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions. Story
Bart is a friendly, social boy who loves meeting new people and making friends wherever he goes. This lovely guy has been on multiple outings with volunteers and is always grateful for them. We hope he finds a home soon as he is so deserving of one. He has been in a foster for a few weeks now and he has done so wonderfully with their pack of dogs. He`s been a wonderful house guest and is putting on weight and loving life. He is affectionate and happy to offer a paw in exchange for a treat. We believe he will settle in nicely and be a content companion at home, judging from his experience in a foster home. Mr. Bart enjoys balls, squeaky toys, training sessions with treats, running, and playing in the water. He would likely do best in a home with other dogs and he is excited to continue his training journey with his future family.Weight: 65 poundsAge: 3 yearsOther Dogs: Loves having friends Cats: No cats.Kids: Presumed to do well, sometimes excitable. We don`t recommend older folks for Bart as he can sometimes be jumpy.Home Type: active homeLeash Behavior: getting better everydayCommands: `sit` `shake`Does well in carsLoves hiking, playing with other dogs. If you are interested in adopting Bart please fill out our online application at highsierraanimalrescue.org. Once your application has been reviewed and approved we will work with you to schedule an appointment. Please no `drop-ins` to view dogs without an appointment. All High Sierra Animal Rescue dogs are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate shots, micro-chipped, tested for heart worm, given heart worm preventative medication each month, and de-wormed.
