Story
Boxie is a fun loving Boxer Lab mix. She loves everyone and is gentle with kids. She's great with other dogs and has been around a cat with no problem (since we don't have a cat I haven't see this long term). She is joyful and friendly -- truly a best friend. She is house-trained and knows basic commands like lay down, sit, and come here. We can no longer keep her after a recent move and hope to find a home for her where she is loved as much as we love her!

Story
Hello there! I am Hashbrowns. I'm a lower energy guy whose company is so easy to enjoy. I know sit, and I'm believed to be housebroken. I'll roll around and scratch my back to hit the itchy spots and might grab a toy from time to time, but my favorite activity is to use this nose of mine to sniff out the snackies (I'm a bit of a foodie) and think I could have a bright future in nose work activities! After all the snackies have been inhaled, I'll plop down beside you and graciously accept the back scratches. I don't always like to share you (or my snackies), so I would likely do best as an only pup, but if you have another dog, ask the staff more about dog introductions! I imagine finding a home would be the equivalent of walking into an unlimited breakfast buffet, so perhaps you could order up a serving of Hashbrowns today and ask to see me today?

He likes playing with other dogs and does well with most personalities. He is very people-oriented, but does not do well with kids. He is crazy about playing fetch! Henry is a good boy and was once a beloved pet; he's ready to be that for someone again! Story
I lost my person to a house fire. After that, I went to stay at a dog shelter and that's where I shut down. I would not even bring my head out of the blankets to see who was in front of my kennel. I didn't want to eat, I didn't want affection, I didn't want to be bothered because I just wanted to disappear. Fortunately, the workers are very compassionate people and they recognized that I was shutting down.  That was when they made a call to  Quality of life rehab Quality of Life Rehab. They sent a kind person to pick me up and take me to my new foster home. It took me days to finally believe that I was safe but once I started to believe... I really started to come out of my shell. The antibiotics finally helped the kennel cough...  The cloud finally lifted from over my head. As it turns out I may be a senior but I'm actually quite a character. I am a goofy cuddly couch potato. I am good with the cats and the other dogs. I really just need a place to rest my head and spend my sunset years.  When I was at the shelter, I was so despondent they thought I might be at the end of my life. They ran full blood work but it all came back good. I am healthy, I was just very depressed. Now that I'm feeling better my full personality is shining and I'm ready for the next chapter of my life. Please consider taking a chance on me :)   ##1973518##

Story
UPDATE:  Scrappy LOVES other dogs and cats.  He is shy of people at first, someone must not have been very nice to him.  He loves to run in the yard.  He will need a fenced in yard.  Scrappy Doo is amazing once he is settled in.  He would require a few play dates to get used to his new surroundings.  We are hoping to find a local adopter so we can schedule playdates with Srappy Doo and make a smooth transition into his new home. A scared wild puppy was the first image we saw of Scrappy Do. We included that photo in his listing, it should be the last picture. He was so defeated. He had been captured by a property owner after his parents had attacked a goat on the farm. Our friends at animal control responded to the goat attack... they saw the parent dogs running away but the property owner had caught Scrappy! He was so upset and dispondent. Our friends at the shelter called us when he came in because they knew our fosters have that special touch!  Foster mom Barbara has been working her magic and he is doing GREAT now! He has a foster sister, Pebbles, who is quite the doggie ambassador. He is learning how to be a puppy and is loving his new life! He is not a very big boy, and is just so stunningly beautiful! He is not YET fixed but will be as soon as he is old enough!  Scrappy is up to date on all shots and is neutered. Scrappy is such a sweet gentle boy.  He is looking for his special someone.  His foster sister Pebbles has been adopted.  He loves other dogs and cats.  He is unsure about people at first.  He just needs that special someone who will understand that while his life did not start out the best they will make sure the rest of his life is filled with love.  He is crate trained.  We actually keep the door to his crate open as he feels secure in there.  He also loves toys and will collect all th toys he finds and take them to his crate.  That is his man cave.   ##1366278##
