Story
Clairette is a 7-year-old boxer mix. She is more on the medium size of large. Clairette came to us with a hurt leg that has healed up nicely. Clairette at times forgets that it`s healed up and will hold it up when walking but then later will run around in play yard using both legs. Clairette loves walking and spending time with people. She would prefer a laidback home with ready access to a fenced backyard as she likes to be able to go outside quickly to potty. Clairette is an affectionate girl who hopes that her new people won`t mind if she expresses her admiration for them often. This older girl is ready for her new forever home. Please consider giving her one.

Story
Are you looking for a more mature settled dog then Petunia could be the girl for you. This almost 7-year-old sweetie came back to us after her previous person passed away. She is hoping that her stay with us is temporary. Even though she is a little older, she has shown to be potty trained and knows how to walk like a pro on a leash. If you are looking for a good time Petunia likes a nice tennis ball. She will fetch for hours. No appointment needed, Petunia is ready to go. Come up and see her sometime soon.

Story
Bossy along with his brother and sister were found after being abandoned on a back road. They were very skittish, and it took a while to trap them. They had either not had much human interaction, or the interaction they had was not positive. Bossy is a shy pup who’s still learning to trust the world around him. He has just started letting us walk him on a leash. This means he can get out and play with the other dogs too, which he really enjoys. With patience, love, and a quiet environment, Bossy is sure to continue gaining confidence and will make a great companion for the right person or family. He would probably do best with a confident dog sibling to show him the ropes. His birthday is 4/24/22, he is neutered, up to date on shots, and weighs 35lbs.  Bossy joined the Leash on Life Prison Pup Program in January 2026. We are looking forward to hear about his progress. *************************************************************************** This pet comes with an implanted 24 PetWatch microchip and free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service. *************************************************************************** This dog is available for adoption at the Humane Society of McCormick County is SC for an adoption fee. Rosalie has a kiss and a big tail wag for every person she meets. She is very friendly with people! She is housetrained and has good table manners. Rosalie likes to play with toys and tennis balls, is always up for going on a golf cart ride or walk, and loves to sunbathe. Rosalie wants to be the one and only dog in the house. She is probably a Boxer mix and she weighs about 50 pounds with a birth date of 10/26/19. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations. Rosalie would love to be part of a family. She has lots of love to give and she would make a good companion. *************************************************************************** This pet comes with an implanted 24 PetWatch microchip and free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service. *************************************************************************** This dog is available for adoption at the Humane Society of McCormick County in SC for an adoption fee. SCSN Does not respond to Petfinder or Adopt A Pet "Inquiries". If you are interested in one of our available animals you MUST go to our website www.screvenspayandneuter.com and fill out an application. SpayedMicrochippedVaccinated HW Negative and on Prevention  Birdie is a gorgeous and friendly girl who entered rescue after living outside her entire life. She plays well with other dogs she's met and seems to adore people!   Because of her limited time inside a home, crate training and potty training will need to be worked on after adoption.  *If you choose to adopt (before all vetting is complete) and use your own vet rather than our local Snip Clinic for these services, you do so at your own expense and it will not reduce the adoption fee. Adoption fees are NON NEGOTIABLE.1.) All dogs are adopted to the best possible match and calling or emailing the rescue will not speed up the process or liken your chances of being chosen. Please DO NOT CALL the rescue unless you have been specifically given the phone number by one of the staff.2.) You will be notified by the adoption coordinator if your application is approved. This will happen very quickly, usually the same or next day. (unless you apply on a weekend and vet records can not be verified in which case it will be the next day the vet is open.) If you do not hear from us, you were not approved. There will be no explanation or argument.  3.) Adoptions are set up by appointment only. We do not have “hours” of operation. DO NOT show up expecting to “see the dogs”. We are not a municipal shelter- we are a rescue.4.) If the dog is posted as Available on Petfinder, it is available but may have pending applications and meet and greets set up.5.) If you are not ready to immediately meet the dog you are applying for, please do not apply- we are too busy for window shoppers! Every dog is available to be taken home with you at the time of the meet and greet.6.) We recommend you bring a carrier with you to transport the dog home as some can get carsick. Adult dogs and most puppies over 6 months of age will require a slip lead- not a harness, Not a flat collar and leash but a SLIP LEAD that does not need to be fitted and is the only approved method of safe restraint for fearful and flight risk dogs.7.) Adoption fees can be paid with Cash, Check, Venmo, PayPal and credit Card. You pay these the day you adopt when you sign your contract through an online system.Screven County Spay & Neuter Corp.SYLVANIA, GA ##2683383##

Story
Theo is currently 10 mo & a pretty high-energy dog and likes to play a lot with rubber and squeaky toys. He loves fetch and tug of war. When he’s gotten some of that energy out, he usually just wants to lay on you and sleep or relax nearby. He tends to match your routine and will sleep when you sleep. He is crate trained and potty trained. Will sleep in his kennel all night. Hell usually bark at you to let you know when he needs to go outside or stand by the door. He knows sit and outside. He can be a little unsure around strangers at first, but after a bit of sniffing hell warm up and usually lets people pet him. He enjoys belly rubs He also has a chicken allergy, so he cant have food with chicken in it. I work full-time and my schedule has been making it hard to give him the amount of time and activity he needs, especially living where I do now. I want to make sure he ends up in a situation where he can get more attention, exercise, and space than Im able to give him right now
