Story
PADAMAY NEEDS A FOSTER OR ADOPTER ASAP 💔 *Currently in Boarding- Boise* Padamay has been adopted and returned twice — through no fault of her own — and was even rehomed by her last adopter. We recently welcomed her back after she was injured in a fight with another dog. This girl deserves stability, safety, and someone who won’t give up on her. Paddy is a stunning 4-year-old Boxer blend, about 75 pounds of loyal, snuggly love. She’s not a tiny lap dog, but don’t tell her that — she lives for cuddles and being close to her person. Human companionship is her happy place. She has lived with other dogs in the past, but because she can be noise sensitive and may redirect when startled, we are recommending she be the only dog in the home. No cats. House-trained. She truly thrives when she doesn’t have to compete for space or worry about chaos around her. Paddy is crate trained and uses her kennel as a safe haven when she feels overwhelmed. She’ll need a patient home willing to give her about three weeks to properly decompress and adjust. Loud environments and heavy traffic can be overstimulating, so for walks, quieter neighborhoods and walking paths are best. With consistency and gentle conditioning, her confidence around noises will continue to improve. A securely fenced yard is required so she can safely play and stretch those long legs. If you’ve been looking for a loyal, devoted companion and are willing to give this sweet girl the stability she’s been missing, please reach out. She doesn’t need perfect — she just needs committed. ❤️

Story
MEET KILLUA (Ki-loo-ah, meaning “Son of Lightning”) ⚡️ Killua is a 3-year-old Boxer/Pittie mix that weighs 87 lbs and has been patiently waiting in rescue for nearly two years. It’s time this lovable boy finally finds his forever home—and whoever adopts him is truly hitting the jackpot! Killua is the perfect mix of goofy, affectionate, and old-soul charm. He’ll flash you the biggest smiles, then curl up next to you, gently placing his paw on your hand for affection. He loves chew toys, treats, and car rides (though he sometimes needs a little encouragement to hop in). He’s smart, playful, and full of personality—whether he’s chasing his brother around the yard, going for walks, or snuggling after playtime. Killua would love to be adopted with his brother, Knightwing, but he can also thrive on his own with another playful dog. •Could do well with older, gentle children (but not toddlers—he’s a big guy and might knock them over) •Does best in a home without cats or small animals •Curious on walks, still improving his leash skills •House-trained and enjoys time both indoors and outdoors •A fenced yard would be ideal One sweet moment: during a walk, a young girl offered him a treat—he gently and politely accepted it. That’s Killua’s heart in a nutshell—big, gentle, and full of love.

Knightwing is a total people dog! He’s known for his signature move: hopping up on his hind legs to say hello with the biggest smile you’ve ever seen. He’s all about belly rubs, following you around to “help” with chores (especially if you’re sweeping), and curling up with his head in your lap when it’s time to relax. He LOVES his chew toys, wrestling with his brothers, and zooming around a fenced yard. He’s house-trained, great on a leash, and always ready for an adventure. Treats? Yes please. Love and snuggles? Absolutely. This boy is full of joy, energy, and that goofy charm you just can’t resist! ⚡️ Quick Stats: About 100 lbs of pure love Dog-friendly (big dogs preferred!) Story
Meet Jackson – The Quirky Gentleman with a Big Personality At around 8 years old, Jackson is the perfect blend of charm, independence, and heart. This small terrier cross may have a few gray whiskers, but he’s still full of spunk — the kind of dog who keeps life interesting in the best way possible. Jackson has what we lovingly call a “cat-like personality.” One moment, he’s your biggest fan, ready for cuddles and belly rubs; the next, he’ll politely excuse himself for some alone time, as if to say, “I love you, but I need my space.” It’s all part of his quirky charm — and those who understand him quickly fall in love with his funny, expressive ways. Despite his independent streak, Jackson is affectionate, loyal, and easy to have around. He enjoys short walks, relaxing in a sunny spot, and being near his person — even if he’s pretending not to pay attention. What Makes Jackson Special: Senior sweetheart with personality and wit Small and manageable size — easy travel companion or apartment buddy Leash and house trained Prefers to be the only dog (he enjoys peace and quiet) Best in a calm, adult home where he can set the pace and routine Jackson is neutered, healthy, and current on vaccinations. He doesn’t need much — just a soft bed, a gentle hand, and someone who appreciates his mix of independence and affection. After all, Jackson isn’t looking for constant attention — he’s looking for understanding, for someone who loves him for who he is: a loyal, sometimes silly, always endearing little companion with a big heart. Help share Sparkles! She desperately needs a foster or home, no dog should have to wait this long. Currently in Boise Boarding. Reach out to Emerald Street Kennels to meet her. Sparkles has been in boarding for nearly 2 years 😩 long story short. Sparkles was dumped off with Penny who had too many dogs but did her best to care for them. Sparkles lived there for several years. She had access to an inside laundry room and outside dirt and weeds. Sparkles had very little socialization with the other dogs. Penny’s health took a turn for the worse. Sparkles then came to Emerald Street Kennels and has been living in boarding ever since. Sparkles has won the hearts all the staff there❤️ Sparkles is deaf but she looks at you like she understands every word you say❤️ Sparkles is house trained, utd on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. She does well on pack walks but she will do best in a home without other pets. Please share Sparkles and help me find her forever home www.friendsfureveranimalrescue.net

Story
🐾 Ghost Has Spent Nearly His Entire Life Waiting 🐾 Ghost was not quite an adult when he entered rescue. Now, at 8.5 years old, this beautiful boy has become a senior—and he is still waiting for the foster or forever home he has always deserved. Ghost is a striking white Pit Bull mix with soulful eyes that seem to tell his whole story. He may not be able to hear your voice, but he can feel your kindness. He understands love through gentle touch, eye contact, body language, and the quiet reassurance of having someone beside him. Deaf does not mean dumb. Ghost is intelligent, deeply affectionate, and remarkably connected to the people he trusts. He doesn’t need to hear the words “I love you” to know when they are true. 💙 Ghost is not asking for much—just a safe, peaceful place to spend his golden years and someone who will love and accept him exactly as he is. He enjoys: 🚗 Relaxing car rides 🧸 Carrying and gently tossing his toys 🛋️ Lounging quietly near his people ❤️ Forming deep, loyal bonds with those he trusts Because Ghost cannot hear another dog’s warnings or vocal cues, he can sometimes misunderstand their communication. He would be happiest as an only pet or possibly with a very calm, respectful dog after careful introductions. He recently attended an adoption event, where he remained calm and interacted politely with the other dogs. Ghost’s early days in rescue were not easy. Unable to hear and uncertain about the world around him, he was sometimes overwhelmed and reactive. But with patience, consistency, and love, he has grown into a calm, affectionate, and laid-back companion. His transformation shows what can happen when someone chooses understanding instead of judgment. 🐾 Ghost is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. 🐾 Treasure Valley adopters will receive six complimentary training sessions with Paul Kline of A Pawsitive Alternative Dog Training. 🎨 A beautiful custom painting of Ghost, donated by one of his biggest fans, will also go home with his adopter. Please don’t let Ghost spend another year waiting. He needs a foster home, foster-to-adopt home, or forever family where he can finally know that he belongs. Ghost listens with his heart instead of his ears. All he asks is that someone open their heart to him in return. 🥹💙 Apply to foster or adopt Ghost: www.friendsfureveranimalrescue.net See more photos of Ghost: https://photos.app.goo.gl/f676DNZb6hR1Dh9i9 #AdoptGhost #DeafDogsRock #DeafDoesNotMeanDumb #SeniorDog #FosterNeeded #AdoptDontShop #PitBullMix #RescueDog #FriendsFureverAnimalRescue
