Story
“You Think I Don't Know Ball?” Meet Emma! At 6 years old, Emma the Pit Bull mix has mastered the art of ball. Fetch? She invented it. Catch? She’s a pro. Tug? Only if you can keep up! With her adorable ears perked and eyes locked in, Emma takes her playtime very seriously - and she wouldn’t have it any other way. But don’t let her athletic skills fool you - Emma’s also a total sweetheart who loves spending time with her favorite people. She’s loyal, affectionate, and will happily snuggle up after she’s proven, once again, that yes… she does know ball. Emma is looking for an experienced adopter who understands her zest for life and can continue her training journey. She’ll need to be the only pet in her home so she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves. She’s also part of our Paws Forward Program, which means her adopter will receive 3 free training sessions with Janette from Kind K9s to help Emma keep shining both on and off the field. If you’re ready for a loyal teammate, a goofy best friend, and a champion ball player, Emma is ready to play ball… forever. Can't adopt? Please share!

Story
Has everyone forgotten about Jack? Jack is now 6 years old, and he has spent an incredible 1,220 days waiting for the right person to walk through our doors. What started as a temporary stay has turned into years of waiting. And while we’ve grown to love Jack deeply, we know that the shelter is not where his story is supposed to end. Jack is a stunning, smart, and incredibly loyal boy who is looking for a very special adopter, someone with experience, patience, and a deep understanding of dogs. Jack needs to be the only pet in the home, and he is looking for a home without children. But if you’re his person? You’ll get a devoted companion, a playful goofball, and a walking buddy for life. Jack absolutely loves his walks and proudly shows off his stuffies during playtime. He’s also been working hard in our Paws Forward Program, and his adoption includes three free training sessions after adoption with KindK9s to help support a successful transition into his new home. We do ask that anyone interested in Jack come in a few times to spend time getting to know him. Building that relationship is important to Jack, and we want his next home to truly be his forever home. Jack is also part of our Foster-to-Adopt program, giving his future person the opportunity to see how he settles into a home environment before making that final commitment. 1,220 days. That is far too long for any dog to wait for his person. Jack has spent more than three years hoping someone will finally see what we see in him. He doesn’t need everyone to choose him. Please help us find him the person he’s been waiting for. Can't adopt him? Please share!

Story
Short, stout, and packed with personality, Fonda is basically a walking, wiggling honey bun just waiting to sweeten someone’s life. This adorable 7-year-old pit bull mix may be a little shy at first, but give her a moment (and maybe a soft voice and a comfy spot), and you’ll see her gentle, lovable nature start to shine. Fonda is the kind of girl who doesn’t rush into things. She likes to take her time getting to know you, building trust one quiet moment at a time. She’ll be your loyal little shadow, your couch companion, your steady, sweet presence after a long day. Because she prefers the spotlight all to herself, Fonda would do best as your one and only furry friend, no sharing required for this queen bee. 🐝 She’s ready to soak up all the love, attention, and cozy moments you have to offer. Fonda is a part of our Paws Forward Program, so she gets a little extra assistance and goes home with 3 free training sessions with Janette from Kind K9s! If you’re the kind of person who understands that the best things in life take a little time, Fonda might just be your perfect match. Come meet this sweet little nugget and see if she’s the missing piece to your home. 💕 Can't adopt? Please share!
