Story
Draco is a very lovable and easily trainable puppy, I honestly have no idea on breed or age. We found him dumped on a back road in September, my best guesses are that he is around a year old and a boxer mix. We are unable to keep him due to the town ordinance of where we just moved to, we are only allowed to have 5 pets. He is fixed and house broken as well, mostly kennel trained and listens very well. He is a very good dog, just has some puppy in him still where he likes to chew on things with stuffing in it. He is fed everyday and not malnourished, just runs around a lot with a lot of energy. Gets along with all dogs, and extremely loving

Story
Vida’s name means life — and it couldn’t suit her better. This beautiful boxer girl came to us from a situation of severe neglect, where she had been starved and confined to a very small space. When she first arrived, she was weak and unsure of the world around her. But in just a few short weeks in foster care, Vida has shown everyone exactly how strong and resilient she truly is. She has already gained 10 pounds, continues to build strength in her hind end, and is learning what it means to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Vida especially enjoys the companionship of people and other dogs and has done wonderfully with her foster boxer sister. Vida does experience some bowel and incontinence challenges, which our veterinarian believes are related to weakness from prolonged confinement. The encouraging news is that she is already making progress and continues to improve with time, patience, and support. Because of her condition and worn teeth, her exact age is still unknown. An Embark age test has been submitted, and we hope to learn more soon. Vida is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She is currently thriving in foster care while she waits for a special home that can offer patience, consistency, and plenty of time together. Vida has already come so far. Now she’s ready for a family to help her continue the journey. Vida is going to remain in foster until she finds her forever home! Meet and Greets will need to be scheduled.

Story
Meet Odin — At just 7 months old, Odin is a Boxer mix who perfectly embodies everything people love about the breed—playful, affectionate, and full of life. He’s fully vetted, neutered, and more than ready to find a forever home where he can share all the love he has to give. Odin absolutely adores his people and thrives on attention. Whether he’s curled up next to you for a cuddle session or following you around the house, he just wants to be part of your world. His loyalty runs deep, and he’ll happily be your shadow wherever you go. True to his playful nature, Odin loves spending time with other dogs and enjoys all kinds of toys. From chasing a ball to a good game of tug-of-war, his enthusiasm is contagious and guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. He’s also doing great with his house training and has wonderful manners for such a young pup. Odin is the kind of dog who brings energy, laughter, and warmth into every moment. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will keep life fun while also being your snuggle buddy at the end of the day, Odin is your guy. Occasionally, we may not have had a puppy long enough for a second round. Puppies under 6 months of age are not spayed or neutered. Spaying or neutering is a required condition of adoption and must be completed by the puppy’s first birthday or by your veterinarian's recommendation, at the adopter’s expense. Out-of-state surgery costs are not included in the adoption fee. Breed Disclaimer: Breed is our best estimate based on the puppy’s appearance and, when known, the mother’s appearance. Fathers are rarely known, and litters can have multiple fathers, meaning puppies may be half-siblings with different breed mixes. ⸻

Story
Meet Alf! This 9-month-old Boxer mix is named after the lovable TV alien, but these days he’s much less “lost in space” and much more “life of the party.” Currently weighing around 46 pounds, Alf is growing into a happy, confident, and incredibly lovable companion. When Alf first arrived at a local animal shelter, the world felt overwhelming and he wasn’t quite sure how to navigate it. Fast forward to foster life, and this boy has blossomed in the best way. With patience, love, and a cozy home to learn in, Alf has discovered that life is actually pretty great, and he’s embracing it with full-body tail wags and a joyful spirit. Alf is almost fully house trained and does well in his crate, settling in nicely after a brief protest. He sleeps comfortably crated in another room and has proven to be a great mix of playful and relaxed. He enjoys everything from zooming around the yard and playing with toys to lounging in the house and soaking up attention from his people. This social butterfly truly doesn’t know a stranger. Alf is friendly with men, women, children, and dogs of all sizes, and he’s even good with cats. He’s been around kids as young as 3 years old and does wonderfully, though like many young pups, he can get a little excited and is still working on keeping all four paws on the floor when saying hello. Alf loves playing with his dog friends, whether it’s a game of chase or a snuggle break after. He’s respectful of dogs who prefer a calmer vibe and adjusts his play style accordingly. He also enjoys walks and does well on leash, though he may pause mid-walk in hopes of making a new friend because in Alf’s world, everyone is a potential best buddy. At the end of the day, Alf is the definition of a “happy dog.” He’ll greet you with his whole body wagging, follow you around like your biggest fan, and happily curl up on the couch for some quality cuddle time. Alf would do well in just about any home ready for a fun, affectionate, and social young dog. He’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of love to his forever family. His adoption fee is $250 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Liberty is an extreme ball of energy; she would benefit from a home where she can run and exhaust her energy levels. She is a young pup that will need training and ways to help her with her anxiety, crate training would be extremely helpful for her. She is an overall sweet pup but will require hands on training for basic demands and sever separation anxiety. Liberty has met an 11-year-old child and has done great but recommend older children 11+ that are familiar with large breeds and puppy behavior, she has shown no signs of prey drive or aggression with cats.
