He came to us as an owner surrender, but it’s clear he’s always been loved and socialized — Axel adores everyone he meets. He’s great with dogs, cats, and kids, making him a true family companion. Axel is potty, crate, and leash trained, and he thrives with free roaming — he’s not destructive at all. He’s amazing in public and adapts beautifully to new situations, making him an all-around perfect companion. He’s vocal and loves to “talk” to you, especially if you’re a woman — he’ll happily become your shadow, following you everywhere with love and loyalty. This sweet guy has so much personality: he gets zoomies in the backyard, howls like a husky, loves car rides, and has a hilarious obsession with salami. He was near the top of of the euthanasia list at the shelter — simply because he’d been there too long, and because he’s a pit bull puppy in an overcrowded system. But when we came to rescue another dog, we couldn’t leave this sweet face behind. Now safe in foster care, Balboa is proving just how much love and life he has to give. At just 6 months old and around 25 pounds, he’s still growing — but already has a huge heart. 🐶 What makes Balboa so awesome? 💫 Happy, playful, and full of joy 🐕 Great with other dogs 🐱 Respectful of cats 🧸 Loves toys, people, and attention 🩺 Vetting scheduled soon — he’ll be fully up to date! Teller is 55 lbs and approximately 3 years old. Teller was abandoned at a property when the property was sold. The new owner found them in a small pen and contacted SPCHS for help. Teller is afraid of cats, and is dog and people friendly. Crate trained. Likes to be near his human. Loves attention and is just trying to learn how to enjoy his life.

Bella Bleu will be 3 years old in March 2023, weighs 50 pounds, is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and housetrained. She is used to being crated at night. She is good with other dogs and with children. She tries to play with cats and chases them. She needs a home where she can be inside day and night with her humans, but go out to play in with them (in a safe environment) to burn off some energy. She will need exercise daily, so an active family would be an ideal family for her. She can run and jump like a deer, has springs for feet! Bella Bleu is comical, and with thrive and bring hours of delight to the right family.
