Meet Matthew (but you can call me Matt)! Matt was left outside a vet clinic in a tiny carrier with a note. But those sad days are in the past nothing but UP from here!! I’m basically a teenager… about 2 years old, full of personality, and ready to find my forever family. My rescue family thinks I’m a mix of Boxer, Beagle, Boston Terrier , some lowrider breed like a Dachshound or Basset hound … lol. basically everything !! If you’re looking for a loyal dog to be by your side, I’m your guy. I love the simple things in life—sleeping in the sunshine, chewing on my bones (not your stuff!), and playing with my favorite Lamb Chop toy… which still has its squeaker! I also love to run around the yard, so be prepared—I might challenge you to keep up with me. The good news? I’m a very good boy. ✔️ Walk well on a leash ✔️ Potty trained ✔️ Love sleeping on the bed with my people ✔️ Enjoy car rides I’ll even protect you while you sleep thanks to my keen hearing. And here’s something special about me—I’m bilingual! I can bark and softly howl (that’s the Beagle side of me talking). I’m still learning tricks and working on trusting that my humans will come back when they leave. I had a tough start after being abandoned, so I’d do best with someone who is home often and can help me feel safe and loved. I’m sweet, affectionate, love hugs, and you can even pick me up. I get along with other dogs, and I don’t mind cats… although sometimes they’re not very interested in playing. Most of all, I just want someone to love me. My name is Matthew, and I’m pretty amazing. He came to us after his previous family faced financial hardship and could no longer afford his food and medical care. Transitions like that can be confusing for a young dog, but Chopper has handled it like a champ. In our care, staff have observed Chopper to be friendly, calm, and people-oriented. He enjoys human company and settles nicely once he’s comfortable. Like many young Boxers, Chopper still has some learning to do—his former home reported behaviors such as chewing and excessive barking, which are common signs of boredom, stress, or not having enough outlets for energy. With consistent structure, enrichment, and positive training, Chopper is expected to thrive. He’ll do best with an adopter who understands the Boxer breed, is patient, and ready to help him continue learning good habits. In return, Chopper offers affection, loyalty, and that classic goofy Boxer charm. If you’re looking for a sweet, steady companion who just needs a fresh start and a little guidance, Chopper might be your guy. 💙

Often the dog is very friendly very good with kids doggie door trained.will to pay for 3 month is his food for anyone who will adopt him. If we are unable to find a home for him, we will have to take him to the shelter and we do not want to do that so we hope that we find a home for him as soon as possible.

Licki was surrendered after experiencing conflict with another dog in the home. She had previously lived with a dog for years, but more recently began showing aggression and starting fights. Because of this, Licki may do best as the only pet in the household or with a very experienced owner who can carefully manage introductions and provide structure. She has not lived with cats, so a feline-free home may be the safest option. The good news? Licki absolutely loves people — especially kids! Her previous owner reports she’s wonderful with children, and staff have observed that she is very friendly and social with everyone she meets. She’s eager to get out of her kennel, easy to leash, and clearly enjoys spending time with her humans. Licki is a high-energy guy who will benefit from daily exercise, enrichment, and continued training.
