Story
Delilah is a spunky and sweet 12 week old boxer/pit mix. She loves playing ball, and with all toys that squeak. Delilah would love an older dog sibling or two to play and cuddle with, but best in only homes with dog savvy cats. She would thrive in an active home, she loves going for walks and car rides. She is potty and crate trained too. If interested in meeting this gal, please submit an application. Please note that current pets MUST be up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason. Please make sure you contact your vet and give permission for them to speak to us. www.pawzandpurrz.org RR335

Story
Nova-Nova here to tell you, my story. My original owner found me wandering the streets and decided to be a good Samaritan and help me out. They took me into their home for about two months where I lived with another dog and did good until it came to dinner time. I rather not share my chow with others. They did not want to work with me on the not sharing so they decided to bring me here to Stray Haven. The staff all loved me at first sight. I am shy at first while in my kennel. I prefer to be outside running around the yard where I can get out all my zoomies. When I get super excited, I get the wiggle butts and look super cute. I am looking for a home that is very active and loves to be outside. If you think your home is what I am looking for please come to meet me at Stray Haven.Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA194 Shepard Rd., Waverly, NY 14892(607) 565-2859, www.strayhavenspca.org Open hours:Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pmSaturday-Sunday 10am-4pmClosed on Mondays

Story
Elsa was born about June 20, 2015 and weighs about 50 lbs.  She is good on leash and used to being walked in the city of Buffalo.  She is with us as her humans are moving to the Carribean and they were not able to take the dogs.  Elsa was a loved member of the family and it was a tearful goodbye.  As I write this she has only been here a few hours and is quite content although a bit on the unsure side and who can blame her as she now has a new house, new humans, and 20 some new doggie friends, of all sizes, which she is doing extremely well with.  Elsa is nicely house trained and was in a routine to go out every couple of hours, but if they couldn't she would hold it.  She is good in the car and did very well on her almost two-hour car ride here.  Oh, one important thing we need to mention is that she is deaf, or mostly deaf, they feel she may hear some louder noises or maybe she is just sensitive to vibration of louder noises.  We feel strongly she should live with another normal hearing dog as she will follow their cues.  Elsa is not at all hyper and is even said to be a bit on the lazy side - this girl loves her naps!  She is mostly friendly with new humans approaching her, but on intake a strange man approached her quickly and she did bounce and bark.  She's now in the house with him and not paying any attention at all and other than the one bark she hasn't made a peep..  She may startle quicker than a dog that can hear with approaching humans - perhaps mostly men.   The Adoption Fee for this dog is $_400.00___. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.   Can't Adopt Me?  SPONSOR ME Look for the Link 'Special Instructions to Seller' if you want to note a particular pet Before you seek to adopt a pet from Joyful Rescues, please read our Pet Adoption page http://www.joyfulrescues.org/pet_adoption.html.
