Story
Jenny is one-of-a-kind! She is 7 years old, with a calm and sweet personality. She always receives high praises from her vet, groomers, or pet sitters. Jenny is fully trained and knows basic commands, walks wonderfully on a leash, and is an easy, enjoyable companion to have by your side. She’s a chill dog who loves to relax but has a fun, endearing personality that shines once she feels comfortable. Because of her naturally timid and fearful nature, Jenny can be protective when unfamiliar people enter her home. She thrives in a calm, predictable environment with people who understand her sensitivity and are willing to give her the time and space she needs to feel safe. Jenny would do best in an adult only home, as young children can unintentionally overwhelm her. I am committed to finding the right match for Jenny and would be happy to share more details about her history, personality, and habits with anyone seriously interested in giving her a loving home. ❤️

Story
Lucky Girl & Little Lady aka - Monkey & Chicken Bonded Sisters – may have to be separated 😢 Forever Home(s) Desperately Needed – Long Island, NY Meet Lucky Girl and Little Lady! This adorable set of sisters are 13-month-old mixed breed puppies. They came to us at only weeks old, still being weaned off their mama. Their mama and siblings were adopted several months ago. These two have yet to find their forever home and have become very attached to each other. We have been holding out hope we could find them a home where they could stay together but, so far, we’ve had no luck. Their amazing foster mom has had them all their lives, but she cannot hold onto them any longer. If nobody steps up, we will need to separate them 💔 Lucky Girl…affectionately known as Monkey….is a curious, goofy, mischievous, cuddly fur ball. She’s always up for an adventure, even to the vet. She lovingly walks over to her sister and foster dog sibling unprompted and gives them lots of kisses out of the blue. Little Lady…. affectionately known as Chicken…is a real doll. She is a bit more timid and reserved but still loves adventure. She has a gentler nature but is always up for fun and to play or wrestle. Chicken is a pro at twirling and does so whenever she is being fed while Monkey jumps around like a kangaroo for food 😊 Both are smart, extremely sweet, loving and cuddly. They love to playfully wrestle and cuddle with one another as well as with their foster dog sibling and foster human mom. They are crate trained for up to 4-5 hours a day and are treat motivated. They are well socialized, great with kids, cat curious and are good with other dogs. Neither have an issue with resource guarding or separation anxiety from their foster mom. Monkey and Chicken are UTD on all vaccines and spayed. If you are interested in being the forever home for this incredibly sweet pair, or one of them if both aren’t a possibility, please contact adoptions@paws-li.org or go to our FB page. https://www.facebook.com/PAWSLongIsland/ PAWS Adoption Coordination Team Pioneers for Animal Welfare Society, Inc. http://www.paws-li.org https://www.facebook.com/PAWSLongIsland/ Instagram: @paws_li Phone: (631) 306-4616 FOSTER/ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://paws-li.org/html/services/adopt-1.php

Story
Rocco is a handsome Boxer/Mastiff mix with a big, lovable presence and a personality to match. At just 1–2 years old, he is very much still a puppy — playful, goofy, and full of life — and he’s looking for a forever home. He walks nicely on leash, is housebroken, crate trained and already knows “sit” (especially when cookies are involved ). Rocco loves toys, balls, belly rubs, and all the attention you’re willing to give. He’s a joyful, affectionate boy who gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home and is curious but respectful around cats. Rocco can be bouncy when excited (hello, giant puppy energy!), so a home with sturdy children would be best. More than anything, he just wants to be wherever you are — your shadow, your cuddle buddy, your loyal companion. Rocco at a glance: • Age: 1–2 years (big puppy energy!) • Breed: Boxer / Mastiff mix • Weight: 80lbs • Dog friendly: Yes • Cat friendly: Curious but respectful • Kid friendly: Older kids recommended If you’re looking for a devoted, fun-loving companion who will keep you smiling every day, Rocco is your guy. Story
Meet Hercules! Cat-Friendly Senior Alert!   Hercules is a stunning brindle Boxer, about 7 years young and 70 pounds of pure love. This sweet, goofy boy loves with his whole heart—and all he really wants is a soft bed and a human to share it with.   He’s your classic velcro dog, happily following you from room to room just to be near you. Hercules will melt your heart with his adorable little sighs and grunts when he’s content, and he’ll gently offer his paw when he wants a little extra love. Belly rubs? Mandatory. Snuggles? He’s an expert.     Cat-friendly superstar! Hercules has done wonderfully with his foster’s 17-year-old cat.   Dog compatibility: A bit of a mixed bag. He’s had both positive and reactive interactions, so he may do best as the only dog—but could potentially live with another calm pup with slow, proper introductions.   Energy level: Low to moderate. He enjoys leisurely 1–2 mile walks and walks nicely on leash.   Smart & food-motivated: He knows “sit” and “leave it” (with some selective hearing ). Be warned—if you leave his food bowl out, he will toss it around asking for seconds!   House manners: Fully house-trained and even taught himself to use a doggy doorbell—smart boy! He also figured out how to remove his own e-collar after surgery… so yes, he keeps you on your toes.   Travel buddy: Great in the car and absolutely loves rides.   Crate trained: Yes—with a little protest whining when you first leave (he just misses you!).   Hercules is ready to give his whole heart to someone special. Could that be you?   Applying is the first step to meet him - APPLICATION (See our Dog Adoption FAQs before applying) April 1, 2026, 11:51 am
