Story
Reba is a tiny boxer mix. Weighing at only 19lbs she is thought to be 1 to 2 years so she won't be getting much larger. She was pulled from an overcrowded shelter to save her from being euthanized. Her sweet personality made her a staff favorite and they were devastated at the thought of her being euthanized. They contacted us and we couldn't say no!!! She is dog friendly. Not cat tested. Currently fostered with older kids.February 22, 2026, 1:34 pm

Story
Meet Zoie.  Zoie has been with her mom since she was just 6 weeks old. She's now 8 years old. She didn’t lose her home because she wasn’t wanted. It's disappeared when life changed in the most heartbreaking way — the loss of her dad and a rent increase that made staying with her mom impossible on a fixed income. Her mom made the most selfless decision imaginable so Zoie could have stability and security. That’s love. And Zoie? She is the sweetest soul you’ll ever meet. Gentle eyes. Soft kisses. If you sit down, she will gladly smother you in them. She adores people and simply wants to be near her person. Zoie is deaf — but don’t let that fool you. She is smart, healthy, and completely in tune with her humans. A light leash tug gets her attention. She also reads your expressions and hand signals. She’s fully housebroken with zero accidents. Spayed. Vaccines up to date. Well cared for. She previously lived peacefully with other dogs. Zoie is a loyal Boxer whose world turned upside down overnight. She cannot hear you say “good girl”… but she will absolutely feel it. Zoie still has so much love left to give. Let's find Zoie's next love.  Apply today: www.chboxerrescue.com Available in the Northeast (NY, NJ, CT, RI, VT, PA, DE, MD, NoVA)   February 21, 2026, 6:39 pm

Story
Welcome Valentina (“Tina”) to CH Boxer Rescue! This sweet white Boxer girl was saved off the streets this week — and oh, has she had it ruff. The wounds on her face and neck tell part of her story. She's underweight and appears to have recently had puppies. She’s estimated to be just 2 years old… still a baby herself. Tina is underweight but still playful & wiggly She loves other dogs. She loves people. She definitely loves food. She is soaking up this new life in a foster home. As far as Tina’s concerned, life is already pretty amazing — regular meals, kind hands, and a soft place to rest. Over the next few weeks she’ll receive all her veterinary care and continue to heal. What she’d truly love? An adopter ready and waiting to welcome her into a forever home when she’s cleared. From stray to safe in a matter of days — welcome to the good life, sweet girl. Available in the Northeast (NY, NJ, CT, RI, VT, PA, DE, MD, NoVA) Apply to adopt: www.chboxerrescue.com/adopt February 21, 2026, 11:13 am

Story
There are some things in rescue work that are simply impossible to understand. One of those things is how anyone could throw a big, beautiful black Boxer from a moving truck and drive away.   But that is how Troy’s story began. On a quiet country road, good people working in their yard witnessed the unthinkable. They saw a truck slow down just enough to push this large dog out onto the pavement. He hit the ground on his head, dazed and bleeding, while the truck sped off without a second glance. Confused and hurting, Troy didn’t know who to trust. It took time, patience, and soft reassurance before he would allow those same strangers to help him. When he finally climbed into their backseat, his big, injured head rested in his rescuer’s lap the entire drive — seeking comfort even after such betrayal.   Physically, Troy has healed well. His wounds have closed and his strength has returned. But emotionally, you can still see that he is waiting for someone to prove that he is safe… truly safe… forever. And here is the remarkable part — Troy is an exceptional dog.   He is sweet, obedient, and wonderfully behaved in the home. He does not dig, does not climb fences, and respects his space. He wants structure, kindness, and someone to belong to. While he can coexist with some larger dogs, he would truly flourish as the only dog in the home where he doesn’t have to compete for affection. Cats are not a good match for him. A securely fenced yard would give him the freedom to stretch his legs and enjoy life while feeling protected. Troy doesn’t need pity. He needs commitment. He needs a Boxer lover who understands the loyalty and devotion this breed gives and who is ready to return that devotion tenfold. Someone who will look into his soulful eyes and promise that he will never again be discarded or unwanted. We have helped him start over. Now we are praying the right person will step forward and give him the stable, joyful future he deserves.   If you believe you could be that person for Troy, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 21, 2026, 12:42 pm

Story
FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED – ATHENA (NY AREA)  Athena has been in protective custody at the shelter for over a year… and she is finally free to go. Athena desperately needs a foster or adopter. She is losing hope and shutting down in the shelter environment. It’s loud. It’s stressful. It’s constant. The staff takes good care of her — but it’s not a home. It’s not a couch. It’s not a family. She has waited long enough. A year is an eternity for a dog to watch the world go by from a kennel. She previously lived with other dogs but due to her kennel stress we are recommending no other animals until she has a chance to decompress.  5 year old Boxer  Loves playing fetch  Equally happy curled up beside you  Passed her behavioral assessment (no food or toy guarding)  Best in a home with kids 12+ (no kid history)  Spayed, fully vaccinated & microchipped If you are near NYC and can foster or adopt, please step forward. We can transport within a reasonable distance  www.chboxerrescue.com/adoptFebruary 20, 2026, 6:08 pm
