Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. One belly rub and your world will never be the same! ☀️ Meet Eddie, a one-year-old bundle of canine sunshine with the cutest little stubby tail and a heart full of love. At the perfect medium size of about 45 pounds, Eddie believes he's a lap dog—and honestly, he just might be! He's small enough to curl up in your lap for snuggles and sturdy enough to keep up with bigger dogs during playtime. After a good romp in the yard, this goofy guy is happiest lounging on the couch or snoozing in his dog bed. Eddie adores people and is a world-class cuddler. He also loves his canine friends and currently lives with an older Frenchie. He would be thrilled to have a playful dog companion in his forever home. He's kid-friendly too, though older children may be the best fit since Eddie is still young, bouncy, and full of puppy enthusiasm. This handsome boy checks all the important boxes: crate trained, potty trained, neutered, and dog friendly. Ready for an adventure? Eddie loves his walks and is quickly mastering polite leash manners. He's also a big fan of car rides and will happily cruise around town—especially if a pup cup is involved. Since coming into foster care, Eddie has been discovering how fun it is to just be a dog. At first, toys and bones were unfamiliar to him, but now he happily plays fetch and drops the ball right at your feet. Like many young dogs, he can be a little rough and enthusiastic during play, but he's an eager learner who responds wonderfully to patience and consistency. He's also making great progress learning to share toys, balls, and bones with other dogs. Because of his playful nature, a fenced yard would be ideal for Eddie. If you're looking for a loving, goofy, eager-to-please companion who will keep you laughing and shower you with affection, Eddie may be your perfect match. Eddie can't wait to meet you—but be prepared to pay the belly rub tax! ❤️Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. ► We do not adopt to Canada  due to border restrictions and breed-specific legislation ► We adopt & foster locally only ; within an approximately 55 mile radius of Lockport, NY 14094 USA Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, deworming & flea treatment. Story
Jojo is being fostered in Illinois. Has some vision.Hi. My name is Jojo. I am a 4-year-old boxer mix. I like to think of myself as a playful happy-go-lucky gal. I may not see you well because close objects are like shadows and a little blurry to me, but I know you are there. I get along well with all the cats and dogs in my foster home. I like cats (see https://youtu.be/t_3b0r0n9LY ). But I may need slow introductions with little feisty dogs. But I would love to go to a home that has many friendly 4-legged buddies.I like to be active and meet people and other dogs (see https://youtu.be/9LG4Cy9_kJI ). However, I am not too good with children because a lot of time kids either approach me too fast or gather around me, which makes me so scared that I have to give a warning snap. But I do love my walks. Even more, I love an open field that I can have all to myself so I can let out a lot of my energy (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nWkm8OssZU ). At home, I like to relax and sit at my spot while my foster daddy is doing his work. Everyday, I get to be petted and it makes me feel loved (see https://youtu.be/Y_-7FDicj-M ).I am housebroken. However, every once in a while, I have accidents because anxiety gets the best of me when I realize my foster dad has not been home for a while. I will do well in a home where someone is present 90-95 percent of time, perhaps with someone who works out of home or is an active retired person.Blind Dog Rescue has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Hi, my name is Annie! I am a 5 year old boxer mix and I am ready for my forever home! As you can see, I came to PHS in pretty rough shape. I was underweight and missing almost all of my hair. Since being here, I have been slowly on the rise! I have put on a few pounds and my hair is slowly coming back. I am the absolute most loving girl. I love to cuddle and get scratches to pass the time and then when I`m done, I love to curl up and take a nap. I would thrive in a calm environment. I do still have a long healing journey ahead of me, so I am looking for a family to have some patience and to stay by my side through it. Right now, I am only on a foam to help my skin and an Apoquel to help my itching. No special food or shots at this time. However, it would be best to follow up with a vet to see if they are further able to assist me on this journey. I know that it seems a big task to take on, but I promise I am worth it. Reach out to PHS to find out more and apply today!
