Story
Sonny is a 3 year old male American Pit Bull.Sonny is a highly energetic, strong boy with a real zest for the world! He loves to go on hikes and run around in a big yard to stretch his legs. He's a big eater as well, and loves to really chow down on his dinner. A very attentive boy, he always looks to his person for direction and is on his best behavior with proper instruction and attention from his handler. He absolutely loves other dogs! They make him very curious and playful. Sonny would do best in a home with other dogs and children aged 16 years and older. Sonny may be OK with a dog-friendly cat. Story
This 3-year-old bundle of joy is ready to bring endless smiles and tail wags into your life. Tico is a playful spirit who adores toys, especially Kongs, and he's a social butterfly when it comes to other dogs. He thrives on an active lifestyle, whether it's running around the play yard or going for a long walk. While Tico is a canine companion extraordinaire, it's important to note that his playful nature means he may not be the best match for feline friends. However, he's more than ready to be the perfect sidekick for older kids who can keep up with his energy. Due to his size, we recommend a home with no small children. If you're looking for a four-legged friend to join in your adventures, Tico is your guy!

Story
Austin is a fun, friendly, and energetic young boy. He is about one year old and weighs 50 pounds. He loves attention from everyone he meets and loves people of all ages. He gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home. Austin’s foster mom says “he’s happy go lucky… good with our dogs and cats too. He loves all kinds of toys. We are working on his leash manners with a harness so he’ll be ready for an active family to take him on adventures!” Austin is house broken and crate trained. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all his vetting, and ready for a forever family. If you’d like to adopt Austin please email bigyellowdog.wendy@gmail.com for an application. Dogs GROW into the expectations of their families through love, care and consistent training. This, more than anything, defines their personalities. PLEASE REMEMBER: The specific breed of any dog abandoned to a shelter or rescue is only the best informed determination of rescue in agreement with our veterinarians.

Story
UPDATE: Maia was pregnant when we was attacked and had 6 puppies on June 23rd.  Two of her surviving puppies, Ziva & Zinnia, are ready for adoption and we need to find a nice furever home for Maia as well.  She is very sweet with people including children.  Maia is blind but navigates familiar spaces smoothly.  She loves to lay in the grass while her foster mom works in the garden.  Maia can be an only dog or possibly go with a calm male dog. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's a Maia update since she was attacked last week. First, we thank you for all the generous donations we received on behalf of Maia! We asked & boxer lovers answered! She's doing really well. In fact, she’s healing SO well, she'll be cleared for transport this weekend!  She's taking antibiotics, pain meds & having her wounds cleaned.  We'd love to have a foster/adopter to welcome this sweet girl when she arrives in the Northeast this weekend.  She deserves love & comfort after this trauma. Since we've had Maia, we learned she is heartworm positive. We started her treatment plan which is paid for by your generosity.  She is also visually impaired. She walks well outside on leash but inside bumps into walls and doors.  It's also possible she's never been inside a house.  When dogs bark, she freezes but with encouragement from her foster she remains calm.   Please continue helping us with Maia! If you can provide a safe place for her arrival, please contact your coordinator or apply here: https://www.chelseashopeboxerrescue.com/adoption-application/April 16, 2024, 8:14 am

UPDATE: Felicity has arrived in her foster home and although she's a bit confused by all the new activity she is friendly and goes with the flow.  She had a bath, went shopping for a coat because it's cold in the Northeast and enjoyed some naps in a cozy bed. *********************************** Found roaming by a busy highway w her two siblings Felicity was saved from a life on the streets.  She is a sweet and friendly girl! She would make a great companion to a male dog or do fine as an only. She has been learning how great a life full of safety and love can be!April 16, 2024, 8:14 am

Story
Meet our Christmas miracle Rose, who was saved by her own Christmas miracles while sedated on the euthanasia table. Those miracles - her newborn pups! Rose was surrendered to a high kill shelter by a family who simply didn’t want her any longer. Forgotten and unclaimed, she was marked for euthanasia. In her most dire moment, already on the table with catheters placed and sedatives administered, ready to be euthanized, an unexpected miracle occurred. As Rose lay there, teetering on the brink of the end, she went into labor. This incredible turn of events halted the procedure, and her life, along with her unborn puppies, was spared in those critical moments. We contacted by the shelter and they wanted Rose and her puppies out immediately, even more heartbreaking was that she still had the needles in her veins when they dragged her out to our volunteers car. Now, Rose and her puppies are safe under our care, but this is where the hard work begins. We urgently need your help to provide Rose and her newborn puppies with the care and nurturing they desperately require. Every donation will contribute to: Essential veterinary care and monitoring for Rose and her puppies. Nutritious food and supplements for their recovery, and a safe and comfortable environment for their rehabilitation. We humbly ask you to consider making a donation, or simply spread the word about the great work CHBR is doing. Your generosity ensures that Rose, and many others like her, get every chance they deserve. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for always standing by us! Story
We got quavo as a puppy about 7 years ago and he's absolutely a great dog. He's very good with our kids we have an 11-year-old and and about to be two year old. He's a loving dog he just wants love and affection and he craves activity. He's almost 8 years old now but he is still very strong active and energetic. The reason we want to rehome him is because we don't feel like we are able to give him enough time or attention and he deserves so much more. We're looking for someone or a family that is going to take excellent care of him take him on walks play with him and just treat him like a part of the family. It's hard for me even writing this but I feel like it's best for him. Side note he's about 75 lb but thinks he's like a 8 lb Chihuahua LOL

Story
Meet Buddy! Hes a bully mix (possibly staffy?) and almost 3 yo. He’s the most loving, gentle and cuddly baby. The lady who adopted him is very sick and is in and out of the hospital a few times a month leaving Buddy alone in her 1 bedroom apartment. Hes actively suffering and needs a new home asap. I tried taking him and fell in love with him but I quickly learned that he is not good with cats and small animals - and I have 2. I am willing to pay for a doggy boarding school to teach him to be a real ‘good boy’ when it comes to walking on a leash, recall, crate training and socialization with other dogs. Please consider him for your new family member! Hes high energy, LOVES walks and running, snacks and peanut butter! Contact me with any questions at any time!

Story
Vincent is a 6 year old male bulldog mix, weighing around 60lbs.Vincent is a very special boy, whose wiggles are sure to put a smile on your face. He is head-over-paws in love with treats, and will do just about anything for them. He likes things to go at his own pace, and prefers a quiet, calm environment. He lives a rich inner life and needs respect and space from both people and other pets. He knows exactly how he likes things, and would need a family who understands that about him. Vincent would need a home with only adults, no cats, and would need to be the only dog in the home. To apply for this pet on Adopets, click the Adopt Me button below their profile picture.
