Story
Blanco is 3-4 year old. He is a big lover boy. He is always SO excited for love and attention. He is a very athletic boy- he loves to run along the fences here with the other dogs. With some training he would be a great adventure buddy. He is a very strong boy so a firm handler would be best. Breed knowledge would definitely be an asset. He used to be a part of a bonded pair- he was abandoned by his family with his brother Bruno. Unfortunately the stress of losing their family was enough to sever their bond. Bruno is now the most spoiled and loved baby out there- we want that same thing for poor Blanco, who has been waiting over a year for his forever family to come along. Blanco is hoping for an active home where he can be very involved in what you're doing. He could be successful in a home with another dog with a proper slow introduction, time and patience. He has shown signs of resource guarding in the past, so this is something to be mindful of. He has not been tested with cats but would likely chase them. Due to his exuberant nature, he would be best suited to a family with older or no children. The adoption fee includes: - Vaccinations: This includes: Rabies Leptospirosis Distemper Infectious Hepatitis/Adenovirus Parvovirus Parainfluenza Lyme -Bloodwork: Testing for heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma -Deworming -Spay/Neuter -Microchipping - Any other necessary treatments or surgeries

Story
Name, age, breed: Rosie, 6yrs, Boxer mixLikes: Walks, treat sniff mats, playing tug of war, giving kisses, cuddling, pets and scratches, people in general, loves to lounge around Dislikes: Lack of walks/activityWhat would be the ideal home? A home with a strong handler who can deal with her reactivity on walks. But otherwise really anyone would do well since she is very sweet-natured.Good with other cats? NoGood with dogs? Possibly - Rosie mimics how other dogs treat her. If they approach sweet and friendly, she will also react that way. Highly reactive to dogs on walks (really wants to play, she is very enthusiastic). Good with children? Yes, as long as they are ok with large dogsTemperament: very sweet, playful, active, excited while on walks but relaxed in the homeMotivators? YesHow long will it take to settle into a new environment? 3-3-3 rule: First 3 days - Your dog may be overwhelmed and may hide, have a lack of appetite, or test boundaries. Give them space and time to adjust in a quiet room with their bed, food, water, and toys. 3 weeks - Your dog may start to settle in and their personality will emerge. You can expect behavior issues to arise, so set boundaries and expectations with positive reinforcement training. 3 months - Your dog should be comfortable and acclimated to your home. They should know their routine and expect meals and enrichment at specific times.Any special needs or traits an adopter should know? Story
Hey there, I'm Boomer! 🐾 If you're looking for a best friend who's equal parts goofy and lovable, you just found him! I'm a fun-loving pup who lives for fetch, belly rubs, and long walks where I can sniff every interesting smell. I'm basically your future MVP of playtime. I've got a big heart and a big personality, and I like to keep things simple: I want to be your one and only. Other dogs? Not really my thing. I prefer to soak up all the attention, love, and treats just for myself (can you blame me?). I promise to keep you laughing with my silly zoomies and goofy antics, and I'll always be ready for our next adventure, or a cuddle session on the couch. One important thing to know about me: I'm looking for an adult-only home. Kids can be a bit too much for me, so I'll do best in a calm, grown-up environment where I can really thrive. ❤️ Come meet Boomer at 800 Centennial Rd, Brockville, ON. Our adoption hours are Monday to Sunday, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.My adoption fee is $585, which includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, dewormer, microchip. Primary Color: Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 30.2 Age: 3yrs 7mths 2wks
