Apache is likely a 2 year old 54 lb neutered male mix of Boxer and Pit Bull! Apache is great dog! We think he would be a good service dog. Walks well on a leach; potty & crate trained; connects w ppl; knows sit, dog friendly and even temperament. Was found by an RPSVSA supporter in a field with several other dogs. She kept them for a time and he did well with the other dogs. Cat friendly but very playful! He has great eye contact with people. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative! Megg is with us for quite some time since July of 2019 to be exact.We realize that not every dog that comes into the shelter is going to be instantly ready to go directly into a home .Poor Megg was absolutely petrified when she came in . We needed time for her to adjust and so we could could learn what was causing her such distress .She is a great walker but she tends to be shy with new people. She would need a few meet and greets, to establish trust with strangers . Once she is your friend, it is for life.She is adaptable and loving when spending time with people she knows. She can run around and play but really likes petting and relaxing with her people.Would do best as only animal in the home and no children due to her fearfulness.Our staff that have had the most interaction with her say that she has a very sweet nature and loving spirit.Megg is 8 years old and look at how beautiful she is .This girl deserves a forever home and family .She is housebroken, walks perfectly on a leash , takes commands and can be a true best friend. She has been an exceptional dog in her time with us. He’s come so far but not close enough to real happiness in a home of his own.
