Story
Riley is a 3 year old 50 lb pit bull/boxer mix. He is housetrained. He does fine with other dogs outside. Too excited during the cat test. He likes to lay on cozy beds. Gets very attached to his human. He has been with adopter two years but the owner has to find a new home for him. So we believe in a home he would do best as an only pet and would do great providing emotional support for a human. If you would like to meet him and possible adopt please text Casey at 570-441-0083. He is up to date on vaccines and he is neutered already. We adopt to the general public but we also adopt to military veterans at no charge to provide companion pets or emotional support dogs to our heroes! ##1596723##

Story
Hero came to PCHS as a local stray unclaimed. He was traveling with another dog, that was hit and killed by a car. Hero is a very active dog, adjusting well to having daily care and TLC. He is housebroken, but will need additional leash walking training. Hero is food motivated. He would benefit with an active home and lifestyle with reassurance. Hero loves to splash around in water! If you have another dog, meet and greet is required. We believe Hero will be a loyal companion.

Story
Your eyes don't deceive you, it's me O'Malley! Aka the cutest, littlest guy EVER!! I originally came to the shelter with my ‘friend' Erin, we were left behind in our home, but were thankfully found be these hoomans! And they've been taking such good care of me. They feed me, give me toys and treats, and alllll the belly rubs, it's the best! My favorite thing is my walks, they make me so happy sometimes I even bring a toy with me to help contain my excitement, and since I'm so little, I walk so well. I'm truly the best guy, everyone tells me so and swears they aren't lying. Since arriving at the shelter, I've been reactive to other dogs, but I think once I'm less stressed, I'll come around. And in the mean time I can't wait to spend all my time with you and getting comfy. If I've caught your eye come on down to the shelter and meet me today! Kisses and slobber, O'Malley

Story
Meet Cinna Cinna is a sweet (estimated) 10 month old, boxer mix with a heart as warm as her name suggests! Cinna is friendly to all people she has met. Although she does have some dog friends here at the shelter, we feel she would do best in a home as the only dog. She is very energetic, out going and loves to snuggle. Cinna has been working with staff to learn basic commands and leash training, she's been improving more each day. Cinna would benefit from continued training and owners that can give her a moderate amount of daily exercise; mental and physical exercise to ensure she will be the very best she can be!Cinna is spayed, microchipped & up to date on all vaccinations. A meet and greet would be required at our shelter for any potential canine siblings. Come and meet Cinna if you are ready to add a sprinkle of sweetness to your life! Go to our website: www.nokillarc.org to fill out a pre-approval form (it can be found under the ‘adoptable dogs' section).

Story
Hi!My name is Kane. I've been at the shelter for quite some time now, and I'd really like to find a home of my own. I have my own room here and the staff and volunteers love me, but it's not the same as being with a loving family of my own. I promise I'm a good boy. I love my people. I'm afraid of going outside, but we're working on it, and I'll come around.I'm a little pocket pup. I'm pretty small, but I'm totally cute, so that's covered. I come with some training techniques on making me more comfortable outside, and all of my balls go wherever I go. Oh yeah, did I mention I love tennis balls? They're my favorite. They pretty much keep me preoccupied. Sometimes I forget they're in my mouth. The staff will walk by my room and catch me snoozing away with the ball still sitting in my mouth, just like it is in this picture. Yup, that's me. I'm the tennis boy at the shelter. I told you I got the cute part covered. I was adopted once and was doing very well until I lost my momma. She loved me very much.I like a very low key home with very few people and distractions.Anyways, enough about me. I want to meet my new family and learn more about YOU! I promise I'll steal your heart.??Head on over to our website to fill out an application if you're interested in meeting me. You won't regret it.To meet me, apply here www.griffinpondanimalshelter.com/adopt

Story
I hear it time and time again about Apollo "this boy should be in a home, he's a man's best friend kind of dog, the sweetest boy in the shelter " yet nobody gives him a second glance . This boy is aging here, on April 5 , we will have had him two years . He was pulled from a homeless situation and now he lives in a kennel. While he's warm and fed and loved in the time that we can offer him, that will never replace a family . Please consider giving this "good boy " a forever home. I'm Apollo. I really don't feel like myself here at the shelter. I'm a little scared and not sure of everything happening in my surroundings. But, when I'm out of my cage, I relax and enjoy the company of everyone here. I really love when I can sit close to someone and cuddle." Apollo is very friendly and sweet. He has a lot of energy and enjoys walks, exploring, and playing. Afterwards, Apollo loves to sit by you and get treats, lots of belly rubs, and attention. Human companionship is his favorite thing. This special pup is eager to learn and even knows a few basic commands. He needs to work a little more on his leash manners; however, he does well with a harness. At this time, Apollo would do best in a home without other dogs, cats, or small children. Apollo is outgoing and wants to be the center of your world. He will definitely win over your heart with his snuggling skills. He's 7 years old and fully housebroken . If you would like to meet him, please apply here: www.griffinpondanimalshelter.com/adopt

Story
The many faces of Tito, a boy that has come so far , but is still waiting for someone to realize his potential. ??Tito has had a rough life. He was found abandoned in a crate inside a home, covered in his own filth and underweight. He was not alone in this, some of you may remember Angel who had to be rushed to the emergency clinic because she had a deceased pup stuck. Angel has since found her forever home, but Tito has not been as fortunate. Tito is still waiting for someone to give him a home. Tito was extremely on edge and defensive when he was found, which is understandable considering what he went through.Looking at him today, you'd never know what he had to endure. And while we have cleaned him up and gotten him to a perfect weight, some things take longer to heal. Tito has what we call "stranger danger." This simply means he didn't easily trust people he didn't know. Considering what people have done to him in the past, who can blame him for having his guard up? Once he is won over, he is truly a big baby. He is so sweet and full of life.Tito is estimated to be around 6 years old. He knows basic commands. He can be selective with other dogs but the dogs he does like, he loves. He plays well with them, walks well with them, and respects their boundaries. Tito loves to play off leash in our play yard. Tito is also a big fan of hugs and cuddles.Would you be willing to take some time to get to know him ? He's worth every moment and to him, it would mean everything ! https://www.cognitoforms.com/griffinpondanimalshelter1/griffinpondanimalshelteradoptionapplicationfordogs
