Three years ago, Dale was just a puppy when he found what everyone hoped would be his forever home. He grew up surrounded by love, had a family of his own, and knew exactly what it felt like to belong. Unfortunately, after three years, Dale has found himself back in rescue, and this handsome boy just doesn’t understand why he isn’t home anymore. 💔
Sometimes, even dogs who have lived together for years develop differences they simply cannot work through. Sadly, that was the case for Dale and his canine brother. While Dale is considered dog friendly, we truly believe he would be happiest being the one and only dog in his next home, where he can soak up all the love and attention without having to share his space with another dog.
And let us tell you, Dale has SO much to offer! ❤️
This incredibly handsome 3½-year-old Boxer mix is extremely friendly, house trained, crate trained, and a wonderful listener! He’s already learned how to live in a home, understands the routines, and knows how to be part of a family. He’s not a puppy who needs to learn everything from scratch. He’s a boy who simply needs another chance.
And can we talk about those EYES?! 😍😍😍 Dale has a beautiful condition called heterochromia, which simply means his eyes are two different colors! One gorgeous blue eye and one warm brown eye make this handsome boy even more unforgettable. And no, having two different colored eyes does NOT mean he’s blind in one eye! Heterochromia itself does not affect vision.
You may also notice a few battle scars on his handsome face. Those are reminders of the disagreements he had with his brother, but they certainly don’t take away from just how gorgeous this boy is!
What breaks our hearts the most is that Dale does NOT want to be living in a shelter. He spent nearly his entire life knowing the comforts of a home, and now he’s surrounded by the sights and sounds of rescue life. He doesn’t understand what happened or why everything familiar suddenly disappeared.
Dale isn’t looking for anything extravagant. He just wants a family, a comfortable place to sleep, someone to love, and the security of knowing he’s home again.
Three years in a home should not be the end of Dale’s story. We want it to be the beginning of his next chapter. ❤️

P.S. A little something we’d like everyone to understand: Dale’s former family did not make this decision lightly, nor did they simply give up on him. They loved Dale very much and went above and beyond trying to restore the relationship between their two dogs. They sought help from professional trainers, behaviorists, and explored options to help the boys live together peacefully again. Unfortunately, despite everyone’s best efforts, the relationship could not be repaired safely. Sometimes, even with love, dedication, and professional guidance, two dogs simply cannot continue sharing a home. This was an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking decision for his family, and we ask that everyone show them the same kindness and compassion we hope to find for Dale. ❤️
