Story
Meet Toby! 🐶💕 This sweet boy has been with Journey’s Legacy since December 2024 after being saved from the urgent list at Animal Control. He’s been waiting far too long for his forever family, and we just can’t believe nobody has scooped him up yet! Toby is a 2-year-old Boxer mix who’s on the shorter side, weighing 51 lbs – he's the perfect “just right” size! He’s fully vetted, dog-friendly, and absolutely adores kids and people. 🐶💕 He’s an incredibly sweet boy who loves giving hugs and will happily brighten your day with his playful, energetic spirit. Cats? Well… Toby thinks they’re fun to chase 🙃, so a home without them would be best (though we don’t think he would hurt them). Because he’s also a bit of an escape artist, his adoption does require a fenced-in yard to keep his adventurous side safe. Toby is everything you could want in a best friend – happy, loving, and so ready to give his heart away to the family he’s been waiting so patiently for. 🐾❤️ 📍 Located in Cleveland, TN 🚗 Transport available to other states 💰 Adoption fee: $150 Toby has waited far too long, and he deserves a family to finally call his own. If you’ve been looking for a loyal companion who will love you unconditionally, Toby is waiting with open paws. 💕🐾

Almost Home believes that every animal deserves a loving home regardless of appearance, age, or physical limitation.  We have come together to give animals in need the safe and happy life they all deserve.  Almost Home Animal Rescue believes that no animal is expendable.  Adopting a friend:The animals, lucky enough to find refuge with Almost Home, are all in loving foster homes. If you are interested in the possibility of giving one of the animals a new lease on life, please contact us. The contact information is listed at the end of each biography.  What you need to do to adopt:If you would like to adopt a pet in need from Almost Home, basically, an application must be filled out. We will check two personal references and a vet reference. If you are approved for adoption, there is a trial period of about one week to make sure this is the animal for you and you are the person for the animal. Along with the trial period, a contract must be signed that basically states that if ever you cannot keep the animal that you must return the animal to Almost Home. Last but not least, a home check will be done. Meet & Greets:An approved application is required. This does not mean that you have to adopt but that you are approved to do so if everything works out. Since we are foster based, this limits the amount of people coming to our homes.  *Due to rescuer being very ill, all her dogs are in desperate need!!! Greetings! My name is Poe! My best friend, Fluffy, and I were allowed to wander the streets. Our owner just didn't care. Fluffy was pregnant at the time. Our rescuer begged for her to be able to come into rescue. So, our owner dumped Fluffy and unexpectedly and luckily dumped me too! I am absolutely adorable with the cutest underbite that makes me look like I am forever smiling. We are both about three to four years old and I weigh about thirty-five pounds. We are the friendliest duo and are exceptionally loving! We adore people and other doggies. We do love children but Fluffy can get excitable, so small children may get overwhelmed. We are true buddies. You will always find us hanging out together. We enjoy adventures and would follow you to the ends of the earth. All you have to do is make us yours! Love,Poe & Fluffy *Guest Posting**Discount for two!***Adoption Fee $275 for both If you would like to meet your new best friend, contact the Adoption Coordinator at info@almosthometn.org or 865-236-0830. To fill out an application, go to www.almosthometn.org. If you can't get it to work, tell us and we will email it to you.ADOPTION FEE: The adoption fee for a cat is $85. The adoption fee for a kitten is $100. The adoption fee does include the kittens being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. The adoption fee for a dog is $200. The adoption fee for a puppy is $250. The adoption fee does include the puppies being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. Mature pet adoption fees are sometimes reduced. The adoption fee for pure bred dogs and cats will vary due to health and age of pet. This helps support our ill animals and our mutts that get left in the system longer. We do reserve the right to change the fees higher or lower due to the circumstance of the animal but what was stated above are the usual adoption fees.  Microchipped pets will have a higher adoption fee.  Our adoption fees do not cover the cost of the vetting and care the animal has received with us and if it ever does, the money just goes back it to helping other animals in need. November 1, 2024, 8:13 pm

I'm a young man that is about 13 months old and that is about 40 to 45lbs. So, this is where you come in. I'm an active boy that would LOVE an active family. Someone that likes going out for a good run would be right up my alley. I would also enjoy having a doggie friend to play with in a good secured fenced in yard. I'm a loving boy that would be all about hanging out with my family or going on activities with them. I love people and other doggies but I haven't been around kitties. So, I don't know about that. I am crate trained too. My current home isn't very active, so I get board and chew things. If I have other things to do, I'd probably be much better about that and some correction of my behavior would go a long way. I get put in the back yard sometimes and it's just a decorative fence, so again, I get board and I leave because I can. Now, I'm being boarded at a vet's office and I'm in a crate most of the time. This is torture! Well, I'm looking for that active family that will love me for the awesome boy that I am. I hope that you are looking for me. Story
Nana is the sweetest dog. She belonged to my daughter for the last 5 years. She loves children. Loves to lay on couch with the kids using her as a pillow (3 and 5 yr old) She is very good to stay in a kennel when left at home. She does not like cats. She also does ok with other small dog breeds. Shes just a big sweet baby. Wish we could keep her but I have 4 other dogs and cannot afford to have another dog. We are sad to have to rehome her
