Story
They call me Exuberant, Handsome and Sweet but you can choose a new name for me when we adopt each other. I don’t care what you call me, as long as you call me. I’m a happy dog who loves people more than anything else in the world. I’m a 4 year old Pitbull Lab (?) mix, with a 22” collar and am very big and strong. The Vet said I weigh 73 pounds. Don’t let that scare you because I am just a mushy ball of love. I like to let everyone know how happy I am to see them by twirling around and wagging my tail as fast as it will go. This is usually when they call me Exuberant. I like to have fun. Because I’m such a good boy, I’m allowed in the house and have good potty manners. I prefer being inside with people at night especially. You can hold the TV remote for us. Since I have a lot of energy and need exercise, your large fenced yard will be well-used. My foster peeps say I need a family, not a job. They know that I’m a quick learner and will be someone’s best dog ever with some training. Because I’m big and young at heart, my new humans should have some experience with dogs and be able to work with someone of my stature. I promise I will try to do everything you ask enthusiastically. Fortunately, my past dog life doesn’t include any physical abuse so I’m not afraid of people or other animals. I don’t like loud booming noises (fireworks or dynamite) or gunfire so I wouldn’t be a good hunting dog. Health wise, I am terrific; up to date on shots and tested negative for heartworms. Recently I was tricked into getting “tutored” and woke up with my bubbles missing. Foster peeps say it means I will get my forever home very soon! Maybe it’s yours! Story
Gus is the bestest Boxer mix we’ve ever seen 💙 He’s almost 2.5 years old, loves other dogs & all humans. Homes with tiny humans may not be the best fit as Gus has a lot of playful energy. He’s such a happy, goofy, bouncy sweetheart of a dog. He needs an active family & a fenced in yard would make their life so much easier. He’s happy to sit and look at you with those big, sad, brown eyes and get all the pets you can give. But he’ll probably jump for pure joy as soon as you stop. This dog has a lot of love to give & he gives it freely. Gus loves to ride in the car, play at the dog park, take long walks (he is very good on the leash), meet new people and dogs, and is good with cats. He also loves to splash in the lake. This guy is the real deal - an awesome companion!FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TNAdoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Story
Arizona is a large chestnut brindle LOVER with extraordinary ears who is so ready to go home with the perfect family for her. Her ideal family is active, loving and experienced with high-energy dogs. Arizona loves walking, running, playing, swimming and go, go, going with her favorite humans. She thrives in a well structured environment with a solid routine. She is sweet, affectionate, a great listener and gives the best kisses. Arizona is the longest resident dog at HES, but in all of her time here she has gotten to learn so many new skills and tricks while she waits for the right family for her. She is now the most classically obedient dog around. She will gladly show off how she can sit, stay, down, heel, go to bed and shake hands. She is amazing on a leash and loves to play with discs and Jolly Balls. She is house broken, does well in a crate and enjoys car rides. She's great at learning new tricks too so we hope you are ready for some fun! This sweet baby girl needs extra training and tlc when meeting new people and controlling her reactivity. She doesn't love strangers and isn't a fan of eye contact from people she doesn't know. She can get vocal when she's scared. Arizona can do great with other dogs, as long as they are the right fit for her fun loving, outspoken, rowdy play style. No cats or children please. To make sure that Arizona's transition to her forever home is smooth sailing Dog Wizard of Chattanooga will offer free training classes for her and her forever family.
