Story
Hi, I'm Sammy...aka Danny. I was an owner surrender to FOCCAS rescue. My previous owner didn't play with me much so I didn't know what toys were or how to be a dog. I wasn't neutered and didn't have any obedience training. My foster mom says I'm the bestest boy ever! I""m so smart, fully house broken and crate trained. I can ""sit"", ""lay down"" and I sort of ""wait"". We're also working on ""off"" when I hug people or counter surf. My favorite toys are those plush fluffy toys. I'm not a heavy chewer. They are my babies so I don't destroy them. I'm still learning about fetch, and rope toys but I don't think I""m interested in them. I don't like living in a house where there is lots of people coming and going and would do best in a quiet home with older children and respectful children possibly. I love to follow my person around and cuddle. I love to go for walks and car rides, but drive thru windows make me anxious. Story
Meet Noelle! A loving, silly, protective brindle boxer mix. Noelle was surrendered by her family after living outside her whole life. She's been living the good life recently, running the house of her foster family. Noelle is both house and crate trained, is used to walking on a leash, and hardly barks. Ideally, Noelle would find a family with no children or other pets, as she does better being the star of the show! She loves her walks, but loves curling up with you on the couch just as much, chewing on bones, fetching balls, and playing tug-of-war.

Story
Stella is a special girl. Stella can be a little shy when meeting new people. Once she is comfortable, she shows that she is a super sweet dog. She loves being around people and makes a great companion. Stella is super smart and knows more commands and cues than any other dog in the shelter. She's also housebroken. She gets along with some dogs but isn't good with cats. Stella is looking for a special someone to adopt her and give her the loving home she deserves.

Story
Arizona is a large chestnut brindle girl with extraordinary ears who is so ready to go home with the right family. The right family is adults only who are calm and experienced with high-energy, loving dogs. Kiddos, cats, and first-time dog adopters are a no-go. She has been here longer than any other dog, but it's been time well spent. The shelter has worked to polish her behavior. She was impulsive and is now calmer. She didn't know obedience and is now the most classically obedient dog at HES. She knows Sit, Down, Stay, Heel, Place (go to a bed) and even Shake Hands - and does not pull when walked. At first, Arizona didn't like other dogs being near and now has special friends - all boys - who she plays with and talks to when playing. She is a dominant girl. When she came to the shelter, a local dog trainer assessed her. Arizona needed a lot of work back then. The trainer described her as "brilliant," though. She has proven to be that with every task set before her - impulse control, obedience cues, tricks, playing well with a few chosen other dogs, and learning games to burn her energy, like rolling/chasing dog discs. Arizona would be a wonderful dog for active people. She's a great hiker and creek wader. She loves water. She is also a very loving dog. She may bark at the kennel door when you visit her, but when you become her people, she gives wonderful doggy kisses. She is crate trained. A big crate with a soft bed and lots of treats will help her blend into a new home. It'll be her safe place to go. To be sure all goes well, her adopters will be required to take training with her. It won't cost extra. It's just to be sure you understand each other well. Ask to meet Arizona today.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
As much as we hate it, finances are simply too tight right now and we can not care for our fur babies the way they deserve. So we are looking to rehome him. Floki is used to being around ferrets, cats, other dogs, reptiles, and children. Would prefer the dogs go together. They would come with a large crate that they are used to cuddling in. Rehoming fee together would be $50. Individually, crate is first come first serve. Floki: fixed and house/crate trained, 1.5yo male pitt mix. Showed up on our porch in horrible condition, having clearly been abandoned. He is thriving now and is an absolute sweetheart. Very submissive and happy to snuggle and play. $30 rehoming fee. Please feel free to message with any questions you may have. Thank you.

Story
Luna is a full of energy loving sweet girl. Ive raised her from 4 weeks of age and she is coming up on 2 years now. Due to landlord restrictions I am no longer able to keep her. She loves to run and play, she gets the zoomies right at bed time without fail and will jump over the bed and dive under it as well. She loves Nyla bones to chew on because she is quite the chewer...dont leave your favorite shoes laying around. She has been kennel trained so she does very well with going into her kennel when I leave for the day without any fights. She does not do well with small dogs and she has a relation ship with one of the cats that I had but not the other so that's a hit or miss. She has massive separation anxiety and takes calming treats to help with that. I am absolutely heart broken to have to rehome her and I want her to be happy, have lots of cuddles and play time. She requires sleeping in the bed with you and will bury under the blankets so be prepared. Please love my baby.
