Updated 10Jan26 Rocko (formerly Solo) Intake & History Rocko’s early history is unknown. He was at the shelter and later placed on the euthanasia list due to space constraints before being given a second chance. Personality Rocko is very affectionate and absolutely loves to snuggle and cuddle. He is playful, confident, and vocal during playtime. He has a bold personality and enjoys engaging with other dogs. Behavior & Notes Rocko can be assertive and dominant in play and may have been a singleton puppy earlier in life. Because of this, he is still learning appropriate puppy play skills. He would do best in a home with a well-mannered, confident “puppy trainer” type dog who can help model healthy play behaviors. He did great with nail trims and baths, sleeps through the night, eats well, and is a happy, playful puppy overall. Ideal Home Rocko would thrive in a home that understands puppy development, provides structure, and has a friendly, well-balanced dog to help guide him. With guidance and consistency, he will continue to grow into a wonderful companion.

Harry Pawter is a 3-year-old, 60 lb neutered male Boxer/Boston Terrier mix. He is heartworm negative, dewormed, flea treated, and fully vaccinated (rabies, DA2PPV, and bordetella). Harry is currently in foster care with a young female Lab and three cats. He does well with other dogs—both male and female—and absolutely loves people. He is crate trained, housetrained, and an easy keeper. Harry is a smart boy who learns quickly. He is fascinated by movement—cars, bicycles, and runners—and enjoys watching the world go by. During training, he learned to come and sit directly in front of us when we sat on a bench and flashed our hands, mastering this cue in just two training sessions. Harry is truly the sweetest boy and would make a wonderful companion.

Introducing Rufus. This stray boy was never reclaimed ( shocker 💔) and he needs to start the hunt for his forever home. Around 50lb and thought to be a boxer mix he is putting on weight great with his foster family and his neuter will be scheduled asap. Rufus will leave us utd on vaccines, neutered, microchipped and hes already hw tested negative and atarted all his monthly preventionas. His hair is growing back nicely. Rufus: A Gentleman looking for his Person. Rufus is well behaved, sweet & unusually smart. He knows basic commands like sit, come, heel etc. He walks well on leash or off. Rufus badly wants to come inside and sit at your side. He isn't aggressive towards our male dog, but doesn't want to play. Rufus is on the older side probably 6-7, so he's ready to settle in for the quiet life. He doesn't require lots of active attention, he just enjoys being close. His ideal home would likely be with a woman who wants a companion by her side; a gentleman watchdog (all bark no bite). Rufus does not tolerate being left alone in a crate, he needs his person close by. He would be happiest with a doggy door, a large fenced yard, and a nice daily walk with his person.
