She is a little concerned when men approach her standing up and will back away. She is OK with men if they are sitting down and giving her treats. She is fine with little kids and older kids. She is dog-aggressive at the vet hospital where she is boarding, when she is in her kennel and dogs are walked by on a leash. At the place she used to live she had lots of dog companions and was not aggressive towards them. She also had some cats living there and was not aggressive towards them. She is spayed, on Simparica Trio for heartworm prevention and flea/ tick control. She is up to date on her vaccines. She is a very good girl who will be a great companion. What you need to do to adopt:If you would like to adopt a pet in need from Almost Home, basically, an application must be filled out. We will check two personal references and a vet reference. If you are approved for adoption, there is a trial period of about one week to make sure this is the animal for you and you are the person for the animal. Along with the trial period, a contract must be signed that basically states that if ever you cannot keep the animal that you must return the animal to Almost Home. Last but not least, a home check will be done. Meet & Greets:An approved application is required. This does not mean that you have to adopt but that you are approved to do so if everything works out. Since we are foster based, this limits the amount of people coming to our homes. *Due to rescuer being very ill, all her dogs are in desperate need!!! Greetings! My name is Poe! My best friend, Fluffy, and I were allowed to wander the streets. Our owner just didn't care. Fluffy was pregnant at the time. Our rescuer begged for her to be able to come into rescue.
