Story
9.29.2021 Blinkey is an owner surrender looking for a new home. Blinky is a quiet seven-year-old fawn and white male with natural ears and tail, and one blue eye. He has lived with his current owner since he was born, but they are now unable to care for him.Blinky is not neutered and has not received heartworm prevention, so he is heartworm positive. Veterinary records provided by the owner indicate that he has a cruciate ligament rupture dating back to September 2020. It appears that no treatment has been provided. He is not current on vaccinations.Blinky’s current owners describe him as friendly, shy, quiet, nervous, affectionate and playful. Blinky has never shown aggression toward people, warms up to new people quickly, gets along well with children and has no behavioral problems. He likes dogs and cats. Blinky is house trained and crate trained. He eats dry dog food, does fine when left alone and does not dig.Blinky loves attention from his people and playing with his stuffed animals. Loud noises frighten him. Blinky would love a quiet home with a gentle, caring family. ##1220827##

Story
12/1/2022 Gordo is an owner surrender looking for a new home. Hello, my name is Gordo! I’m a handsome 3-year-old boy with a white coat. I have cropped ears and a docked tail. I have lived with my current family for about 4 months after my previous owners abandoned me so they have asked the rescue to help look for my forever family! I am described as friendly, active, smart, calm, playful, and affectionate. I’m said to be a good boy and have shown no signs of behavioral problems. I am dog friendly with the other two dogs in the home. There are two teenagers in the home I live at, and I am around smaller kids as well and do fine with them all. It’s unsure if I get along with the feline friends, so I would need to meet them first. I am house trained, crate trained, and even sleep in the crate. I am afraid of hand movements if it looks like you are going to hit me, which leads my current people to think I had been hit in the past. I like riding the car! I have manners and when I am outside, I do not dig or jump fences/gates. I would love to find my forever home soon and if you think that is with you, please contact the rescue so we can meet! If you're interested in fostering a dog, please fill out the Foster Application  https://austinboxerrescue.com/ways-to-help/foster/  If you're interested in adopting a dog, please fill out the Adoption Application http://austinboxerrescue.com/adoption-application/ Our volunteers will work with you to find the best dog for your home. ##1587760##

Story
Hello! My name is Dia! I’m a 1-2 year old fawn/white gal looking for my forever home! Before I came into rescue I was only used for breeding and very depressed. I have since found myself and am a new girl that is smiling, happy, and will follow the humans wherever they go! I love sleeping in the bed (I prefer the human bed over the dog beds) and to be honest, I think it’s mine. I have become healthy and gained weight. I do have a mass on my head and back hip but they are of no concern. I am house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. I do well on the leash but because we live in the country, I’m able to run freely at times. There are 3 kids in the home, and they love on me and I adore them! I love to give them kisses and snuggle. I am around cats but tend to ignore them. I play well with the dogs in my home but if I get tired of playing, I will verbally let them know. I love to play, go on walks, sleep, be with the humans, snuggle, get kisses, my food, and treats! I have good manners and do not jump and know how to sit. My foster mom says I am the perfect gal, easy going, and loves people. If you think I could be a great addition to your family, contact the rescue today so we can meet!
