Story
If all people could be as happy, kind, & optimistic as Tulip - the world would be a better place. Tulip is a total rockstar youngster. Her adoption fee is only $50 and she is spayed, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and current on heartworm preventative. She is exceptionally sweet, smart, and social. She even goes to a local doggy daycare from time to time where she is BFF (Best Furry Friends) with every human and animal she meets.
Tulip is the happiest, most loving 5.5 month old puppy we have ever met. Not only is she beautiful but she’s smart as a whip & ready to learn anything you want to teach her. If you are looking for an affectionate companion who wants to join you on life's adventures but who also loves to cuddle, Tulip wants to talk to you.
Tulip has never met a stranger and has loved everyone she has ever met. She has also met other friendly dogs both large & small, including at daycare/to play & has done great. She did previously live with a couple older small dogs, however, and because she is still a youngster, she did like to play chase. Lets just say, the smaller dogs did not appreciate her zest for life. This social butterfly would do just fine in a home of her own (as long as she had other doggy pals to play with from time-to-time) or she should do great in a home with other medium/large-sized friendly dogs who need a sweet buddy. Tulip doesn’t currently live with kids but is very interested in them, so we suspect she would love kind, gentle kids very much.
In her foster home, Tulip is crate-trained, potty trained, uses the doggy door, walks on a leash, likes to ride in the car, knows how to SIT on command, comes EXCEPTIONALLY FAST any time she is called, & has learned to politely sit & wait for her dinner. We mean it - she is pretty much a total 'puppy genius’ and someone will hit the jackpot when they adopt her. Of course, Tulip is a normal bouncy puppy when first meeting new folks but quickly remember her awesome manners.
In typical puppy fashion, Tulip LOVES toys. She currently has a favorite reindeer toy she loves to carry around & sometimes she will even try to carry two toys at once! When Tulip isn’t playing or listening intently while you teach her new things, she loves to relax in the sunshine or snuggle up near your lap on the recliner or sofa for a long snooze. She is an A+ cuddler.
Tulip has had a chance to get out and explore the world with her foster mom. She loves to swim at the lake, loves to ride the waves & chase the ducks, and she loves the water hose. She is happy & outgoing & would love to go to your neighbor’s backyard barbecue or out to the local Farmer's Market. We don't know Tulip's exact breed mix, but we suspect she likely will be a nice medium-sized when fully grown (possibly anywhere from 40-60lbs).
