Story
Name: Carl Age: 8yrs Breed(as listed on paperwork): Boxer x Gender: male Weight: 55lbs Altered: yes Crate Trained:yes Housebroke: yes Good with kids: yes but would enjoy a calm home environment so older kids or no kids preferred Good with dogs: yes Good with cats: unknown Short bio: From his Foster mom- About Carl: Beautiful disposition, well-trained and obedient. Understands the word "no," "hungry," and "bed." He enjoys car rides, gets along with other dogs (haven't tried with cats), but really prefers to just be with his person, snuggling. Good guard dog - observant and will bark like a mean dog. If a stranger, once human has approved their presence, he is sweet with them. Whoever had him before definitely trained him as a companion: i can easily see him paired with a veteran needing this sort of canine buddy, or a single female who wants a guardian that adapts easily to her lifestyle. He likes food, and will do a classic Boxer mind-trick by staring and drooling, as if no one in the history of his doggy life has ever fed him, but will obey if you tell him to go to his bed. Enjoys the yard, but I think that's primarily to patrol, because he wants to be right next to me when i am home! Figured out how to successfully use the doggy door his first night here. Fill out the form below and email us at info@countyroadsrescuetx.org to schedule a meet and greet. https://docs.google.com/.../1FAIpQLSf1BqQVrom7.../viewform He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, on preventatives and microchipped! Story
**Meet Queenie ❤️** Queenie is a beautiful 3-year-old boxer mix (70 lbs) with a white coat and brown/black markings. Found living in the woods protecting her puppy, she ran straight to the rescuers’ car when they trapped him, refusing to leave her baby’s side. That moment of trust changed her life. Now safe, spayed, crate-trained, leash-trained, and housebroken, this sweet girl is ready for her forever family. At first, Queenie can be timid with new people. But once she trusts you, she becomes one of the most affectionate dogs you’ll ever meet. She loves pressing her forehead against yours for snuggles, belly rubs, and all the attention. She’s goofy, playful, athletic, and full of boxer energy — fetching toys, leaping after birds, and doing dramatic “play dead” rolls when she wants extra pets. Smart, food-motivated, and eager to please, she learns quickly and is great in the car. **Best match:** - Older kids (she gets excited and jumpy when greeting) - Male dogs (selective with females) - **No cats** - Active home — not ideal for elderly family members Queenie has survived enough. She’s ready to belong and love her people with her whole heart. If you’re looking for a loyal, snuggly, fun companion, she could be your perfect match! Approx. 3 years • 70 lbs • Spayed • Ready now
