Rusty was surrendered alongside Daisy through no fault of their own and is now looking for a new place to call home. He’s a happy, fun-loving guy who enjoys going on walks just as much as he enjoys relaxing as a couch potato. Rusty walks well on a leash and rides nicely in the car, though he may need a little boost to hop in. He does well in both a kennel and a crate and is likely potty trained. Rusty also did well during dog testing, but as always, a meet and greet is recommended to ensure a good fit. Rusty is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. He is heartworm negative and on prevention.

Wilbur was found scavenging through trash, doing his best to survive on his own. Despite his rough start, he’s an incredibly sweet boy who truly loves people and craves attention. He can be reactive around other dogs and cats, so he may do best as the only pet or with slow, careful introductions. Wilbur is a strong walker and will need someone who can confidently handle him on a leash. The good news: he’s very food-motivated, which makes training a great opportunity—he already knows “sit” and is eager to learn more. We’re still getting to know Wilbur and will continue to update his profile as we learn more about his personality and needs. Wilbur is neutered, DHPP and Bordetella vaccinated, microchipped, and has started dewormer. Wilbur did test heartworm positive and has started the slow-kill method of treatment. He'll need to be kept on an ivermectin based prevention until he can be retested in a year.

Sweet, easy Tex is a happy boy who is approximately 5 years old and 50 lbs. He is neutered, current on vaccinations, heartworm/flea preventative and is microchipped. TEX will come running with a smile when you call him. Tex is a successful graduate of a formal training program. He will happily demonstrate his skills! Tex has perfect leash manners, is great in his crate and loves car rides. He is a quiet boy and not destructive. When comfortable, Tex is a giant love bug, rolls over for belly rubs, runs and plays, gives kisses and is beyond loyal. Tex has been seeking his "forever" home for too long. He is very deserving of a loving family of his own.

Ginger is 7 months old. Ginger was at a Farmers' Market when she was about 4 weeks old. Our goal was to temporarily foster Ginger. Ginger is now ready for her forever home. Ginger is a cuddle bug and very gentle. She is curious and adventuresome. She loves to go on walks, hikes, and ride in the car. Ginger enjoys displaying her agility. Ginger is quick and loves to jump over things. Ginger has a personality that indicates she would be a good emotional support dog or a service dog. I have trained two dogs as service dogs for my husband. He has since passed, however, if he were alive, I would train Ginger to be his service dog. Please remember training a service dog is a 2-year long process. Ginger loves running and playing with my grandson (he is 10). Ginger loves to swim and ride in boats. She is very loving and attentive. Ginger is sensitive to emotions and responds to those emotions.

Maizel is a 6–7 year old mixed breed sweetheart who truly never meets a stranger. She’s affectionate, friendly, and especially adores kids—honestly, she seems to love them even more than adults! She was surrendered due to a family change, not because of anything she did, and she’s been nothing but loving with people. Maizel is housebroken, crate trained, and does well when left alone. She rides great in the car, walks nicely on a leash, and knows her basic commands. She loves attention, cuddles, and playtime—especially with toys and balls. Her foster says she’s a puppy at heart who would love a home with kids and space to play. Maizel would do best as the only dog in the home and needs a no-cat household due to her strong prey drive. A secure, sturdy fence is also important, as she has been known to jump chain-link fences if she spots small animals. She can be startled by loud noises but continues to make great progress and settles well in calm, loving environments. Maizel is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on prevention.
