Story
Annabelle's story: Annabelle was surrendered to us because her previous owner got an active duty call and had to move overseas. After being with her previous owner for 5 years, coming to a shelter, especially at an older age is hard. We feel for Annabelle, and are hoping we can find a home for her that can love her till the end of her days.  Annabelle loves to be around people! She would be perfectly content to sit on the couch with someone all day! Annabelle adores pets and frozen peanut butter Kongs. She does not need a lot of exercise as she is a senior, but still enjoys walks.  Are you the perfect forever home for Annabelle? Age: 9 years Gender: Female Spayed/neutered: Yes Weight: 60.6 Vaccines: Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella Heartworm results: Negative Lyme results: Negative Allergies: None Special needs: Arthritis in back right leg OK with kids: Yes OK with cats: Unknown Adoption fee: $100  To Apply: 1) Print adoption application here:   https://staffordspca.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Stafford_SPCA_Adoption_Application_Adoption-Process-04182018.pdf 2) Email to adopt@staffordspca.org OR Fax to 866-522-8042. Home visits required and dog adoptions often do require structural fencing. (We make decisions regarding the fencing requirement on a dog-by-dog basis, according to the dog's exercise needs and energy level.)  Stafford SPCA does not condone the exclusive use of invisible fencing.   We reserve the right to deny placement of puppies and kittens into homes with children under 5 years old. Story
Jessie is a fun loving puppy looking for a home of her own. The veterinarian guessed she is a boxer mix, and we think she must be mixed with a smaller breed as she is on the petite side. So if you like boxers but don't want a big dog, Jessie could be perfect for you! Jessie likes other dogs and gives respect to the farm animals here at the rescue! We are unsure how she would be with cats but due to her young age we think she could learn to do well with them. Jessie will be spayed and fully vaccinated.

Story
Cinder is a 9 year old boxer mix I rescued about 7 years ago from a a very traumatic past. With me, she spends her days resting but loves to roam around the yard when the weather permits. Her ideal day is to relax and be loved, and she is lovable. She is not much of a barker although barks for someone at the door from time to time. She is fully house broken and up to date with vaccinations. She is crate trained although doesn’t need one, she listens when sent to her bed. She is timid but feels very comfortable removing herself from anything she’s not comfortable with. If I am cleaning or rearranging, she goes to a quiet place. We don’t walk as the yard is fenced in. She does fine on a leash but will gently pull from time to time. She is about as low maintenance as a dog can be and would do great in a quiet environment. I will be travelling abroad extensively in the years to come and would rather find her a new loving home than have a lot of people tending to her in my absence.

Story
Location: Wake Forest, NCCome meet Maggie at Heritage Animal Hospital; upon arrival she will shake your hand, give you a sweet hug or provide you some much needed slobbery kisses. Once the initial introductions are completed, a good ole belly rub will do the trick. Speaking of tricks, Maggie already knows things like SIT and STAY. Smart and sweet girl! She is well mannered and good protector. Look at that SMILE; She absolutely LOVES people! She does needs to be an only dog but that isn't a big thing. She gets along ok with those other furry friends called felines. So if you have a dog savvy cat, Maggie would like to meet you! She is a fun loving, roll in the grass, life of the party, cuddle bug girl who knows a good thing when she sees it! Her estimated age is 7 years old. So you know you skip all the craziness of puppyhood, like crate training, potty training, chewing on everything, and you get a the liviliness without all the puppy training. If interested in giving this girl a loving and happy home or want more info on Maggie, contact Heritage Animal Hospital at (919) 435-1978. She has been waiting with HAH for over two years and really wants to find a loving, caring and special family to call HER OWN. Currently she lives in a 6 by 3 ft run and needs some more engagement!February 19, 2024, 5:31 pm

Story
Meet Maisey, a marvelous 2 year old girl looking for a new home. Maisey is house trained, working on crate training (she can go in the crate and will not try and break out she is just nervous in it), walks well on leash, the ultimate snuggle monster, and LOVES to fetch. She is good with people and kids, very affectionate, and eager to learn. We are offering Home School training through Kindred K9 Training and Behavioral Solutions to whomever adopts her to make the transition as smooth as possible. We took her and her female littermate in this past fall when their previous family couldn't keep them. We have put a lot of time and energy into both girls. A few issues have come up and we need to find Maisey her forever home before things escalate. Maisey is an amazing girl who needs to be the only dog in the home.
