Story
Hoss is originally from Alabama and made his way up to D.C with a rescue organization where we adopted him in 2020. He will be 4 years old in May and is in excellent health. We are looking for a loving family home that has some experience with dogs and has a good sized property or fenced in yard. Hoss is a very sweet boy who loves cuddles and enjoys chilling just as much as playing. He is good with kids and doesn't bark except when he's excited to see someone or to let you know someones at the door and he's never chewed up anything other than his toys. Hoss is a great dog and a great addition to the family.

Story
We have a special boy to introduce to the families and couples out there wanting a truly special older pup that is totally trained and waiting to love you to pieces. True Blue Toby is a 10 month old Boxer mix puppy that was found as a stray and not in the best shape.  In fact he looked terrible and we felt so bad for this boy to have suffered for so many months.  Once he came to our care we got to work on clearing up hair loss and getting him healthy from those pesky intestinal worms and putting good weight on him.  Gosh Toby is the best boy with a wonderful personality that embraces everyone with love and the anticipation to become steadfast friends.  Shy at first, this boy has blossomed and is Mr. Outgoing in every way.  He just wants to hang out with his humans and love them with full gratitude for making him such a healthy boy.  Housebroken, crate trained and wonderful with other dogs and cats, he is the truly total package if you are looking for a medium sized dog.  He is going to be a 50 pound adult and what a handsome Boxer mix boy he is turning in to.   Email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue :   ccrnewengland@gmail.com   We know will be glad you considered this boy as your very own. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 2, 2024, 6:43 pm

Story
When people think of Snow, they think cold. With this Snow, picture warmth, love, and cuddles. This five year old, just shy of fifty pound sweetheart is all about her people. She has bursts of play but is mainly a calm dog. She is all about being by her person and wanting the love. Now, for men, some she loves and some she has to take a minute to relax around.  Snow currently lives with an 80 pound male and a 23 pound female companion. She can be a sassy thing and wants what she wants - a tiny bit of a diva in there. She has met other playful dogs and done well. She also has hung out with another 100 pound male lab. Took her a second to realize he was a lover not a fighter but they are now fast friends. Snow needs a six foot privacy fence for her backyard space. Now who wants Snow to be your cuddle buddy for many years to come! If you are interested in adopting Snow, please fill out an application today!April 30, 2024, 1:30 pm

Story
This sweet gal sure can bring a smile to anyone’s face. With her goofy boxer wiggles and her little nubbin that goes super fast when she sees people. She still has some boxer spunk to her. She loves a good romp with her fur friends or the kids and then she will just snuggle right up and chill. She has done great with her fellow puppers from the super hyper to the old and grumpy to the tiny and snappy. She has been around a toddler and older children and seems to enjoy being around them. She is crate trained with no accidents in the house. Working on basics and leash manners. Don't let this old gals grey face fool you. She still has a lot of love, snuggles and romps in the sun to give. She really is a gem! If you are interested in adopting Clarabell, please fill out an application today!April 30, 2024, 1:30 pm

Story
Hi there, I'm Vega, a 6-year-old, 70-pound, brindle and white boxer. I'm looking for a forever home with someone who can keep up with me and love me unconditionally. I'm a fun-loving and adventurous boy, who enjoys playing, running, and exploring. I'm also very smart and eager to please, especially if you have some treats for me. I'm neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative, so I'm ready to go whenever you are. I do have some quirks that you should know about. I like to test people I first meet, and I need a firm owner who can teach me right from wrong. I am dog selective needing slow intros to other dogs. I should not be around cats or other small animals because of my high prey drive. I do well with kids but probably not small kids because of my size, energy and I can be a bit of an attention hog without even realizing it. I can be crate reactive and have some barrier frustration. I also need more work on leash training, as I pull hard. Devices like gentle leaders may help me learn how to walk better on leash. I have a lot of love to give. I'm very passionate and loyal to anyone I bond with. I bond quickly and can’t wait to make friends with you! I love being petted and cuddled. I'm a relatively quiet pup, and I can calm down when my exercise needs are met. I'm being boarded in Auburn, Alabama, but I can be transported out of state if you're the one for me. So, what do you say? Are you ready to meet your new best friend? I'm waiting for you. Fill out an application today and we will get the process started! *Must be 21 or older to apply.

Story
Hi, I’m Tybee, a handsome and sweet boxer mix. I am actually what is called a reverse brindle in the Boxer world. I’m 3 years old, 80 lbs., and brown/black brindle with white in color. I’m looking for my forever home where I can be your loyal and curious companion. I’m a friendly and playful boy who is good with children. My foster home has rabbits, chinchillas, sugar gliders, rats, and guinea pigs and I haven’t bothered any of them. I am fine with cats and won’t bother them at all. I’m house trained, crate trained, and leash trained, and I know basic commands of sit, stay, and down. I would benefit further with more training as I really bond well when working and am one of those dogs who enjoys a job. I’m neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative, so I’m healthy and happy. I’m highly treat-motivated and I will sit at street crossings. I will also try to sit during our walk and try to get extra treats from you. I love to run and jog and would do great with an active family. I’m a special boy who is good with female dogs but not with large male dogs. I recommend slow introductions to make sure I get along with other dogs. I can pull on the leash a bit if I want to get to something, so please be patient with me. I’m great with children, but I recommend older ones due to my size. I’m working on my mouthing where I playfully chew on hands, but I don’t mean any harm. I’m a sweet, curious boy who wants to be loved. I’m a wonderful dog who has the entire staff at my veterinary office madly in love with me and my great personality. I ride very well in the car in my crate. I’m currently in Mebane, NC, but I can be transported out of state to the right home. If you’re looking for a loyal and curious companion, I’m your boy. Fill out an application and my rescue will connect you to my foster to learn more about me. I can’t wait to meet you!
