Story
Willow was rescued from being outside in the cold. We have gotten her shots and she is potty trained. She’s very sweet and loves playing with kids has a lot of energy. She was recently hit by a car and has a fractured foot. Unfortunately, we have some unexpected expenses so we cannot cover this to prevent her from getting hit by another car so I’m trying to rehome her.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi … my name is Mango Grace! Read my bio to find out everything you need to know about me.   If you think I might be the perfect pup for you, go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete the adoption application online. If you can't adopt and meet her special needs, you can still help her by sponsoring her extended care with tax-deductible donations designated for Mango Grace's care.   “Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen.”– Orhan Pamuk (author, My Name Is Red)  Does Mango Grace speak to you?   She is a special gem in need of a special hero.Mango was a stray who ‘picked’ a family that she found. All the people in the family loved her, but Mango’s high energy and exuberance proved to be too much for their older dogs.  Her play style with other dogs is a little rough-tumble and in-your-face, and not all other dogs are OK with that.  She does not always meet new people well, but once she trusts you, she is a velcro dog with her people. She loves her current foster mom, but for the first 3 days, she growled at her too. She still needs more socialization before she can be a 'go everywhere' dog. Mango will enjoy a new family with people who have time to spend with her, who are willing to take her to training, who are willing to make sure she gets plenty of exercise … who are willing to love her and work with her to become the best dog she can be. Could that be you?Approximate age/birthdate:  born ~ April 2015 Weight/size: 45-50 lbs Housebroken:  YES (if you do your part letting her out regularly) Crate trained:  YES Personality:  busy, wary of new people at first, playful Energy level:  very energetic, rough and tumble play style  Fenced yard required?:   YES ... a physical fence (no underground/electric fences)  No Exceptions.  Mango would be a danger to neighborhood cats and possibly small dogs. She has a high prey drive. Does he/she jump fences?  NO (but she could if she wanted to) Leash walk:  YES … high energy so will still pull Obedience training:  Knows ‘sit’ Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK … gets a little stressed at first          Spayed/neutered:   YES Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES Microchipped:  NO but a chip will be provided Social with other dogs:  YES but she is selective about her friends and not all other dogs are tolerant of her energy.  Slow, proper introductions to any new dogs is a MUST with her.  She does not do well with smaller dogs if they are pushy and yappy.Social with cats: NO CATS … she plays far too rough and has a high prey drive Good with children:  Her energy may be overwhelming for small children.  Will be better with children 12 years old and up Adoption donation: $175 We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible. When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Mango Grace picks you too. If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi … my name is Lacey! Please take a minute to read my entire bio to find out everything you need to know about me.   If you think I might be the perfect pup for you, go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete the adoption application online. Sweet Lacey … the beautiful little lady who had some rough times in her young life, all the while showing nothing but sweetness and love to people helping her get healthy again.  In January 2022 Lacey was a young mom with 3 young puppies, and she weighed barely 25 pounds. Fast forward to March 2022 and after lots of TLC and lots of extra meals, she had blossomed into a 43 pound beauty, still giving kisses to everyone she sees! It has been such a joy watching this sweet girl get stronger by the day.  She is such a gem, and she is going to be an amazing addition to some very lucky family.  If you love boxers and their silliness, she just might be the girl for you.  She is a happy goofball who really does spread sunshine wherever she goes! Things Lacey would love to have in her new forever home:     People who would love her unconditionally and who would let her be a lap dog.     A physically fenced yard where she could run and explore.  She is quite an athlete and needs plenty of exercise to keep her happy and healthy.     A person who would take her to basic obedience class so she could show how smart she is and so she could have a great socialization experience.  Going to class together is a great bonding time for a pup and her person. Approximate age/birthdate:  ~Feb 18, 2021 Weight/size:  43 lbs Housebroken:  YES as long as you do your part and take her out often and on a regular schedule. Crate trained:  YES Personality: sweet, loving, silly, playful, happy                 Energy level:  medium with spurts of high … she is pretty calm inside but she can run like the wind and jump like she has springs on her feet Fenced yard required?:   Definitely preferred.  She will love leash walks with her person, but she will also enjoy the freedom to run around off-leash inside a fenced yard. Does he/she jump fences?  She has not … but she probably could.  It would not be wise to leave her outside in a fenced yard alone because if she got bored, she might start looking for a way to get out and find new friends. Leash walk with manners:  YES she actually walks nicely unless she sees something she wants to chase or get to Obedience training:  Knows ‘sit’.  She would be a star in an obedience class.  She learns quickly. Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK      Spayed/neutered:   YES Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES Microchipped:   YES Social with other dogs:  YES, but she will react if another dog gets in her face or gets ‘snarky’ with her - especially small, yappy dogs.  As she becomes a 'teenager' she is getting a little testy with smaller animals.  She would like being an only dog. Social with cats: Has not been around cats in foster home, but we feel sure she would be happy to chase any cat that ran.  Not sure if she would intend to hurt them, but a home with no cats would be better. Good with children:  Will probably be best with respectful, calm children ages 10 and up.  Her size and energy might be overwhelming for younger/smaller children.  Adoption donation:  $250 We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ace is a special guy. He is the epitome of a Lovable, loyal, playful dog. He is eager to please, food motivated and is eagerly awaiting his new best friend. He does fantastic with dogs, loves to play with them, but would likely be just as happy in a home where he was the only dog to his devoted humans. He is around 12 months old, a boxer/hound mix, fully vetted, neutered and microchipped.  Once you have met Ace, to know him is to fall in love. He will make one home the most loyal family pet. Ace does great with older kids, but is nervous around smaller kids. (8-9 year olds + he seems super fond of) He previously chased kitties, so we’d suggest caution in a home with cats. He knows basic commands, and walks super well on a leash and is crate trained.   The adoption fee for this dog is $200.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it. April 25, 2024, 10:01 am

Story
Volunteer notes, 4/22/24:Jazz is a gorgeous girl who looks like the dog version of a tiger. She runs like a big cat as well, bouncy, agile, and alert. She whined a little bit when she saw a dog in the next play yard but was otherwise pretty calm. She is the perfect medium size to climb in her person`s lap and receive pets (which she did). Her coat is very soft!

Story
Fun, playful, clownish, and smart--the words that seem to describe Moose. This super cute fella was picked up by the Burlington Police Department a few weeks ago and brought to BAS. He`s definitely not a criminal and did nothing wrong, he was just a lost pup who didn`t find his way back home. Moose is at least 5 years old and knows some basic commands. He has a happy and friendly personality, and he`s ready to bring much laughter, happiness, and love to a lucky person or family`s life. Moose did test positive for heartworm but we will be taking care of the treatment, so no worries! Moose is hoping to meet you today, so come visit us soon!Dog Day Out, 4/5/24:We started the day with some Starbucks--Moose loved his pup cup. Then we went to Cedarock Park and went on the Waterfall Trail and the Green Trail they have. Then we went to McDonald’s where he enjoyed some fries. Moose was fantastic, didn’t bark, didn’t pull--very gentle. On our hike we bumped into a couple of dogs and he wanted nothing to do with them. I have a 7 month old; she wasn’t with us the whole time but when she was, he paid little attention to her. He also knows tricks: sit and shake with both paws--very clever. If I could, I’d adopt this lovely guy in a heart beat.
