Reintroducing ZOE! Zoe here is a sweetheart of a dog. She just keeps getting the short end of the stick - no fault of anyone's. First time in 2023 she was adopted, but returned after a year due to a new baby in the home and her having separation anxiety. Second adoption earlier this year, unfortunately there is a family member with serious medical issues so she needed to come back. With that said - she is great with kids and most other dogs (we would suggest a meet and greet!). No cats though - she just isn't a fan. This girl knows sit, down, shake paw, and probably more that we haven't discovered yet. Her one flaw we see right now - she needs to lose some WEIGHT! She is currently around 10ish lbs over weight so we started her on weight management food. She is currently 58 lbs. She should be closer to 45. She is around 2-1/2 years old, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines including rabies. She was 4DX tested and was negative on those (heartworm/lyme, etc - but we will be resting to make sure that is still accurate since last done in February). We sure hope this girl doesn't have to stay for long in the shelter. She has smiles for days! *Adoption Fee: $25

Johanna wants to know if you will be her Valentine. At about 2yrs old, she is a spayed terrier/boxer mix weighing about 60lbs. It's time to start her new life since her momma days are behind her. Johanna is the happiest girl you'll ever meet and her tail wags all day long. Playing it-tag with her foster siblings is one of her favorite things to do. Toys are a new thing to her but she is learning quickly how much fun they can be. She has already learned how to fetch and bring the toy back. Being outside and going for car rides are a few other things she enjoys. Johanna is potty trained and sleeps in her crate. Sitting and giving paw are a couple of commands she knows well. Johanna also loves to cuddle and give kisses to show how much she enjoys your company. While there are cats in her foster home, she is curious about them and will sometimes chase. You can tell she might have been used for breeding before, as her teats hang a bit low, but don’t worry—we're confident they will return to normal as she continues to grow. Miyuki is in great health and has tested negative for heartworms, making her a wonderful companion for years to come. When it comes to playtime, this sweet girl loves to have fun but prefers it to be on the calmer side. She knows how to speak up for herself and will gently let other dogs know when she needs a break. She also has a bit of a curious streak when it comes to cats! She’s very interested in them, though it’s hard to say if she wants to chase them or just play. Allow me to introduce you to McLovin, a charming and spirited pit bull-lab mix who will celebrate his 2nd birthday this coming January. He has a striking pure white coat adorned with tiny black dots at the very tips of his ears, which adds a unique touch to his appearance. More than just a pretty face, McLovin possesses an incredibly sweet disposition and a lively personality that makes him a joy to be around. McLovin's journey began when we rescued his mother from the streets, just one week before she gave birth to a litter of nine adorable puppies. From day one, we have lovingly cared for McLovin, who is the last remaining puppy from his litter. Unlike his siblings, who all found their forever homes through various adoption events hosted by another rescue, McLovin was adopted as a young puppy but sadly returned to us after only a few days. His new adopters felt that he was experiencing depression and insisted it was best to bring him back. However, it's important to understand that this response was completely normal; having spent his whole life in our care, McLovin was simply struggling to adjust to a new environment. In hindsight, it seems that it was fortunate for McLovin that he was returned, as it became clear that his previous adopters did not possess the patience or understanding required for a deaf dog.
