A nice man kept me and tried to find my owner for several days until OBARR had room for me. Sadly, no one came looking for me, so here I am looking for a new forever home. I am a very active girl, who loves to run. I get the zoomies in the play yard and run like the wind. I would love a (high) fenced yard so I can run and run. I'm a little too active for small children, but older one or teens would be good. I seem to get along with most dogs, and would love to meet any dogs in your home, just to make sure we will be good friends. My fondest hope is to find an active family that will take me on adventures. I love to explore and experience new things. The only deal breaker for me would be cats. I heard one of the ladies here say that I am cat crazy! Chasing them is such fun... well fun for me, but probablty not the cats. So a home with out cats for me! I was brought to OBARR by two nice ladies that work there. I was running down the road looking for help and thankfully found it! After a few weeks of loving care, I was finally healthy enough to be spayed and vaccinated.     I have been combo tested, which came back positive for lyme disease. I am taking my 30 day cycle of doxycycline and my preventatives are current.  I have come a long way from when I first arrived and I think I am almost  ready to find my forever home! Zola is a 3 year old who is came to us as a retired breeder. She is working on house training, crate trained and does well with other dogs and dog educated children. Harley was surrendered to a kill shelter in a neighboring county when her owner went to jail. Someone reached out to us to help before she was euthanized, and we agreed to take her. She is a sweet girl who is very confused as her whole world has been flipped upside down. She was adopted and returned because "She doesn't listen." on 1/24/2023. They were calling her Marlie. She will respond to both names since they sound the same. Harley is so nervous and doesn't understand why she is back. She is a very loving dog and playful. Gets along with most other dogs, a meet and greet is recommended. They told us she will chase their cats but doesn't hurt them. She would really like to get out of the shelter and back into a home. Rosie was brought in on 7/18/2023. She is a sweet little Boxer mix that is around 3 years old. Rosie's momma had died a few years ago and the rest of the family recently moved out and left her behind in the home. They didn't care about her. A family friend would come by and feed her every other day. Rosie stayed in her home alone since May before coming to our shelter. She is a little nervous at first but who could blame her, but she warms up quickly. Rosie is so playful and full of energy. She is house trained, spayed and up to date on vaccines. It's been a while since she was around another dog, so it takes her some time to warm up to them. She hasn't been cat tested yet. Prime was an owner surrender on 7/25/2023. No one wanted to care for him any longer. Prime is an adorable Boxer/Pit mix that is around 3 years old. From his pictures you can see he wasn't getting the best nutrition and is a little underweight. He is such a sweetie pea and is always ready for cuddles. He does well with most dogs but a meet and greet would be suggested. Needs a home without cats. Loves all people and children. Prime is not neutered yet since he is new here. He will be neutered before adoption.
