She forms strong bonds with her people and truly just wants to be close to those she loves. She is a high-energy girl who needs space to run, play, and be herself, so a home with a backyard is very important for her. Kona would do best as the only pet where she can soak up all the love and attention, though a calm, small dog may be okay with the right match and slow introduction. She is house trained and crate trained. She would thrive in a home with a family or individual who is home most of the time and can give her the time, exercise, and companionship she needs. He may be a bit shy when meeting new people, so it's important to approach him gently and give him time to warm up. Once he feels safe and comfortable, his sweet and affectionate personality blossoms. Bologna absolutely loves playing tug of war and enjoys spending quality time with his family, whether it's cuddling on the couch or going for walks in the park. With the right amount of patience, understanding, and love, Bologna is sure to become the most loyal and devoted companion you could ever ask for. Meet Brett! Brett may be a little shy at first, but give him a chance—and maybe toss a ball his way—and you’ll have a loyal best friend for life. Once he feels comfortable, his sweet personality really starts to shine. Brett gets along well with other dogs, though he prefers not to share his toys. Because of this, he would do best in a home where toys are put away and only brought out during supervised playtime. He’s a strong boy and can get a bit excited when something catches his attention, but once he settles down, he’s a wonderful walking companion who’s happy to trot right by your side. *** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT *** Meet Cheddar! She is currently in our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and she is almost ready to show off her new skills! Her new abilities include 'sit', 'down', 'shake' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent. Cheddar is a very sweet and smart girl. She can be a ball of energy sometimes, while other times she loves nothing more than to cuddle. She's a bit opinionated and will tell you all about her feelings. But she's also a good listener when you tell her how you're feeling! She'll sit at your feet all day if you let her. She likes to play with other dogs in PACK but seems t to mesh the best with calmer canines. Although she likes to play, if the energy gets too high she needs a reminder to stay cool, calm and collected. Cheddar loves her rope toy and balls. She seems to be house trained and does well in her kennel when she is left alone. We do not have any prior history of her with cats. She's set to graduate with honors towards the beginning of May.
